A/N: Because every fandom needs this cleshay as shit AU, so I'll do it for TBOB so you don't have to. Featuring Richard x Clare, Michael x Wilamena, and Kate x Rafe.

- In the magical world people have a mark on their wrist, a world or symbol, that symbolizes their soulmate and heats once it recognizes them (not always at first sight though, sometimes it takes a bit)

- Humans cannot see or feel soulmarks UNLESS they have been exposed to the magical world.

- Richard and Clare both had soulmarks appear after being exposed to magic. Clare has a pair of glasses exactly like Richard's on her wrist. Richard has an image of the type of mechanical pencil Clare likes to take notes with on his.

- After their adventures in Cambridge Falls, Kate and Michael both have soulmarks appear. They research the concept but it only makes them more curious about who their soulmates are and what the marks on their wrists symbolize about them.

- Emma doesn't have one and she's perfectly fine with that. She's just happy to tease Michael about his without fear of retaliation.

- Kate and Michael just feel lucky none of the humans at the orphanage can see their soulmarks.

- Michael has a simple golden circle on his wrist. He doesn't yet realize it's a crown.

- Wilamena has the world life on her wrist in fiery red and she doesn't have a clue as to why. She's been waiting for her soulmate for ages with no luck. At least, not until Michael comes looking for the Fire Chronicle, the Book of Life

- Their marks burn right in the middle of that first conversation once Wilamena is an elf again and Michael has woken up. The one about Michael's 'hideous' glasses. It's very awkward timing.

- Michael freaks out about having an elf for a soulmate.

- Rafe has a black and white clock on his wrist. He already has a suspicion it belongs to the blonde girl in his dreams. When he meets Kate, a time traveler, this is all but confirmed.

- Kate has the three ringed books of beginning symbol on her wrist in emerald green. This, of course, turns out to be because Rafe is destined to be the final keeper. And because he has green eyes, obviously.

- Kate and Rafe's soulmarks burn while they're eating noodles together at lunch. They don't really acknowledge it, but there is a lot of blushing and sneaking glances at each other.

- Even though they don't mention it, Jake, Beetles, and Abigail guess they're soulmates early on and decide to tease the teens about it endlessly, because they're like that.

- When Rafe becomes the Dire Magnus, his soulmark fades to the point of almost disappearing.

- When Kate stabs him through the heart it comes back strong again.

A/N: Well, there you go, this was the other AU I wrote down but hadn't shared yet and now I have. So yeah, short and slightly cheesy but you know what, who cares. I was bored and I came up with this and now we're here.

Also this is mildly off topic but does anyone else feel like Richard and Clare are this adorable geeky couple who like magic and compare notes over coffee? Because I sure do.
