Background: Takes place in the Time's Tragedies generation era.

Content: Lili x Eternity. Fluff and Humor. A little bit of Kate x Rafe. Just a pair of girls being adorably in love. Even if they don't know it yet.

Eternity Time was many things, but boring was most certainly not one of them. That, Lili knew for certain, which was why when she found her best friend had gone into the town of Westport in search of the ice cream truck, which had been nothing if not elusive that summer, she wasn't surprised. Eternity could be spontaneous, and when she wanted something, she usually went after it, especially if the thing she wanted was ice cream. So, Lili went out to join her in her quest, mostly because with her younger brother and sister attending a day camp for magic users across the lake in Cambridge Falls, and her parents taking a romantic stroll on the lakeshore together, she'd be bored while left home alone with no one to talk to.

Fortunately, Eternity had only made it to the end of the street, so Lili caught up with her quickly. The pink haired sixteen year old flashed her a bright smile, and Lili felt her pale cheeks flame with a telltale warmth. Eternity was dressed in a white crop top and jean shorts, her midriff and long legs exposed. While Lili wasn't conservative or offended by skin showing, like some people, she was affected, mostly because Eternity was a very pretty girl, and the outfit just highlighted her beauty.

"You gonna put your jaw back where it belongs?" Eternity quipped.

"Sorry," Lili muttered, "I just... you look nice today. I haven't seen that outfit before."

Eternity grinned, "it's hot, right?"

"Do you mean your clothes or the weather?" Lili asked.

"Both."

"Then yes. To both," Lili said, hoping that Eternity didn't notice how dazed she was. While she usually wasn't like this, all awkward around her best friend, sometimes the reminders that Eternity was gorgeous and Lili certainly was attracted to her, at least physically, hit hard. It wasn't that she had any intention of ruining her friendship with Eternity for this crush, nor did it complicate the way they interacted much, it just, well, it was weird that the girl she would usually tell all her romantic secrets to was now the subject of one of those. God, being attracted to her best friend was complicated.

"Right, now how do we track down the ice cream truck? It came like a month ago and we haven't seen it since," Eternity said.

"Well, we can wander around in this heat looking for it," Lili replied, "or we could go to the ice cream shop in town, which is only a twenty minute walk away and which we know will be there."

Eternity bumped her shoulder into the blonde teasingly, "look at you, being all practical."

"I have to be, since you most certainly won't," Lili joked.

They walked into the town of Westport, a small but nice community, where Lili had grown up. For her, it was familiar, but for Eternity, raised in New York City, the smaller town where her best friend knew all the stories about was still something new and weird.

"There it is!" Lili exclaimed, pointing to a small shop with a pink and yellow striped awning, "the best ice cream shop in the whole county, not that I've been to any others."

Eternity snorted, "real objective there, sweetheart."

"Shut up," Lili said, "let's just go get some ice cream and then walk down to the lakeside to meet up with mom and dad. They did say if we wanted to join them when they go to pick up Abby and Jake, we can."

"Sounds good to me," Eternity agreed, "so long as I get my cold treat, that is."

The two walked into the ice cream shop, and were waved over by one of two teenagers managing the register, a brunette girl with a high ponytail and a bright smile. Lili recognized her quickly, "oh, hey Hannah."
