Detective AU

- Richard and Clare Wibberly were private investigators, some of the best, until they are mysteriously abducted, presumably by one of the people they were investigating, but as to who or where they are, the police cannot find out.

- A friend of the Wibberlys and fellow investigator, Dr. Stanislaus Pym, is trying to crack the case with the help of the first people to discover Richard and Clare's dissapearence: their young but competent children, Kate, Michael, and Emma.

- Michael is the tech guy and the hacker, Emma is the tough and stealthy one, and Kate is particularly good at discovering information, making witnesses comfortable so they talk, and of course, managing her two siblings.

- Gabriel is an ex cop and old friend of Dr. Pym's who is providing new perspective on the case as well as acting as their muscle.

- Wilamena is an intern and a master at crafting useful and stylish disguises.

- Gabriel takes Emma under his wing and begins teaching her how to fight. 

- The Countess is a serial robber that Richard and Clare helped chief of police Robbie McLaur put behind bars. Kate, Michael, and Emma question both her and her secretary as part of the investigation.

- Wilamena and Michael are super impressed with each other's skills which leads to an ongoing flirtation that Emma likes to make fun of.

- Rafe is a thief that Kate recruits to help break into where the gangster Rourke, who might be holding her parents prisoner, used to operate from. Rafe is very skilled but Kate doesn't exactly get Pym's permission before bringing him onto the team. Oh well, he's on it now and they aren't getting him to leave any time soon. Guess they're stuck with him. Kate is secretly very pleased by this outcome. Rafe is pleased too, but not so secretly.

- Kate, Michael, Emma, Wilamena, and Rafe are the disaster team. Gabriel and Dr. Pym were not prepared for this craziness.

- But the kids are also really clever and get good work done. Even if they have to drink a lot of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate to stay motivated.

- Gabriel is basically the tired parental figure in this AU, while Dr. Pym is the eccentric investigator who cannot use technology.

- Kate and Rafe are clearly in love and when they aren't working on the investigation, Michael, Emma, and Wilamena like to tease them about it and try to get them to admit their feelings. Needless to say, this can cause chaos.

- They never seem to take anything seriously but when it comes to protecting those they love and stopping evil, nothing stands in their way.
