It's been about a week, I met Bonnie, Caroline, Stefan, Matt, Vikki and Tyler. They all seemed nice but I stayed away. Vikki got attacked so Matt is worried like crazy, I visit sometimes to help him calm down a bit. I was getting ready for school, like any other day. I walked to the kitchen and grabbed a raw fish, nobody seen me as I ate it but I put the bones in the bin. It seemed to relax me a lot so I was alright. I just hope nobody catches on to my siren side, without a reason to.

Jeremy had a parent-teacher conference so Jenna got ready to go. I left early and went to school and found a way onto the roof. I sat alone and watched the sky calmly. The school day was normal-ish. Elena told me about a festival sort of thing, it was to do with candles.

I went to the car park and saw Elena talking with Bonnie. I guess I'll walk home, I went to turn around but bumped into Jeremy.

"Sorry, Jer." I stepped back and smelt something on him, come on Jeremey. "Really? It's the end of school. You can do better Jeremy."

"Lay off Izz. I get enough from Elena."  He clearly sounded buzzed. I just sighed and gave him a hug. I felt him hug back before stopping and giving him a weak smile before walking off.

"I'll make burgers, eat when your home." I spoke while walking away and went home. I heard Jeremy chuckle and I smiled. The least I can do is make him feel happy. He was doing that since I moved here when I was younger after my incident. It's the best I can do for him through his.

The day was pretty plain so I went to the park, I needed to be alone with my thoughts. I sat under a tree and looked at the sky, tomorrow the comet was passing by and everyone was going to it. I didn't want to, the crowd would scare me, too many people.

I heard a noise before someone sat beside me, I looked at them and seen they had black hair, hunger in his eyes and wore black clothes that showed off his muscles.

"Um, can you sit somewhere else?" I didn't normally speak to strangers without Elena telling me who they were.

"You seemed lonely, maybe when you go home I could walk you. You know, keep you company." His voice was enchanting. I moved away and got up saying no thanks before walking away. I heard him get up and walk after me. "Why not?"

"People are being attacked at night, coming up dead by morning. I don't think a creep would be helpful." I held my bag closer to me, fear becoming one of my known emotions.

"Creep? You think I'm a creep?" He stopped me and made me look at him.

"You won't leave me alone so yeah, your a creep." My voice stayed low but he heard me. I went to the bench and sat down, people could see me so I will be ok... Hopefully.

"How about this? We start over. I'm Damon Salvatore, Stefan's brother."  He held a hand out to me. I felt awkward not saying my name back or shaking his hand.

"I'm Isabelle Gilbert, like my cousins. I took their last name so I have a family." I shook his hand and he smiled. I seen his teeth, slight sharp fang like teeth. He looked at me and something in his eyes told me run.

"I want you to do something for me-"

"We just met so favours are a no go. Sorry." I cut him off before getting up. I put my hood up and started walking home. He followed me again, does he just never quit?

"Sorry, I thought you'd like to do a friend a favour." He sounded surprised slightly. Why?

"Elena and Jeremy are my only friends. They're my family that's all I need." I walked faster but he kept up. An alleyway came up and he pushed me into it without anyone seeing. I just looked at him. "Leave me alone, please. I need to get home."

He stayed quiet and just walked towards me, night was falling and it started to rain a little. Great. I put my hand out and made him fly backwards with wind. I ran home but he caught up, I was a fast runner so he had to be... I ran faster than ever, using the wind to aid me and I got home and ran in.

"Izz?"

"Izzy?"

"Isabelle?"

I looked up and seen Jeremy, Elena and Jenna looking at me, worried. I cleared my throat and smiled at them.

"It's nothing, I'm fine. Just wanted to see how fast I could run." I waved a hand and went to the garage. I changed into comfy clothing and it stopped raining. I heard the door open and I was about to turn around to look but knew it was Jenna.

"Isabelle, I made dinner. You wanna come eat?" She was asking as if I was fragile. I walked over and nodded. We both walked to the kitchen and grabbed some food before Jeremy could knick it all.
