Chapter 48

I woke up to Elijah making noise, I sat up before realizing we were in a house and the clothing was put in a basket by the door. Memories from the night before came back making me pull the covers up to my face to try and hide myself.

I was red, I couldn't stop my mind from going back. I heard steps coming to the door before a light knock hit the wood. I lifted my head as the door opened and a male walked in, it wasn't Elijah.

"KOL!? GET THE FUCK OUT!" I pulled the covers closer as he laughed before Elijah dragged him out. "Elijah! What the heck!?"

"He's here with news, sorry my dear." His smooth voice calmed me as the door closed. I got up and noticed vampire bites all over my body. "I made sushi for you!"

"Thank you! Where's my make-up?!" I grabbed clean clothing and put them on before looking about the room. Elijah told me it was in my bag so I checked. "It's not there!"

"The bag down here!" I walked out the room while brushing my hair and to him. "You look beautiful-"

"Where is the bastard that walked into our room?" I cut him off as I put my hair up and and grabbed the bag he was talking about and finding my make-up.

"Kitchen, be nice he is family." I walked into the kitchen before placing the make up on the counter and grabbing Kol's arm. He looked at me before smiling again.

"You really did look beau-" I let my siren side show before pulling him down to the ground. "Hey!"

"You knock and wait for an answer. You don't walk in. Now what's your news?" I let him go and sat on the counter before using the mirror in my make-up kit to help the bite marks vanish withe foundation.

"Klaus stayed in Mystic Falls, he didn't follow us!" Kol smiled before getting up, my foot made contact with his gut before looking at him.

"It been days, we know he's not after us. Why are you here?"

"I want to do some bonding with you since you're with Elijah."

"Ha! No chance." I got off the counter before grabbing the sushi Elijah made. "I love Elijah but you, Klaus and Finn can go suck yourselves off." I ate the food as Elijah just stared at me. I finished the food and cleaned the plate before speaking again. "Ugh, fine. One day, Kol that's all your getting."

"Well I seen you naked on a bed so that's fine-" I threw the plate at him but he dodged and it shatted against the wall. He laughed before Elijah grabbed him. "Okay! Sorry!"

"Isabelle, there is a carnival in town. I know you wanna go see it." My face lit up as Elijah spoke, I ran to him and hugged him before squealing.

"Yay! Carnival!" I let him go and ran to grab my shoes, Elijah laughed while Kol just looked after me like I was the strangest thing on earth.

"You are like a kid-" I looked at him making him shut up. I put my shoes on before standing at the door.

Elijah walked over and handed me my phone and purse before leaving with me, Kol following. Kol and Elijah spoke while I walked ahead, it was a sunny day with a cold breeze so a lot of people were out.

I lost Elijah and Kol to the crowd of people before seeing a kid crying over their dropped ice-cream. I walked over and bought an ice-cream, exactly like theirs and handed them it.

"Are you trying to get my child to follow you!?" I looked to the lady beside them with a kind smile, I bought her one before speaking.

"No, I seen they we're sad they dropped their ice-cream, I wanted to make them smile. I'm Isabelle." I held my hand out to the mother, as soon as her hand felt mine I knew she was different.

"I'm Agnes, this is Lola. Thank you for cheering her up." She took her hand from mine and said goobye before walking off with the kid.

I turned around to see Elijah and Kol staring at Agnes, I made my way over before taking my love's hand. He looked to me and smiled. "I saw what you did, that was very sweet of you."

"The girl was upset, I wasn't just gonna let her be sad." Kol walked past us and wandered off, looking confused. "Kol?" I went to grab his arm but he left quicker.

Elijah decided to take me to the ferris wheel so I couldn't go after Kol. Elijah kept me busy at the carnival, he won me a few teddies before we went back home.

I walked in and put the teddies in our room before helping Elijah with making dinner. I heard my phone ring, so I walked over to answer it but froze at the name.

"Damon..." I let out a airy breath before hearing a knife fall.

"What?" Elijah sped beside me before grabbing my phone and answering it. He walked away from me leaving me to think back to Elena. Stefan and Damon can protect her so I was allowed to leave, right? "Don't call again." I heard him hang up before walking over like nothing happened. "It's nothing important."

"Elijah, why did you walk away?" I looked at him before taking my phone back. He told me he didn't want my happiness to be ruined by a call. "Love, you make me happy. If he calls again, I'll talk to him on speaker."

"What if he lies to get you to go back? To take you from me and I go killing a lot of people?" I reached my hand to his cheek before pecking his lips.

"Love, I have never been so happy than I am with you." I moved my hand down from his cheek and to his chest. "I've never done what we did together with anyone. I'd fall asleep and cuddle but never that...You are my one and only. I'd only leave if Elena calls not Damon, not Stefan not even for the Bennetts. I promise, love. Now, why don't we make dinner. Sushi for me and raw steak for you since it's bloody." I smiled sweetly at him as he took my hand.

"I love you, Isabelle. You make me feel like being a monster by my mother's creation is a blessing instead." We walked to the counter and started making each other's meals. Kol walked in and to us before apologising for being gone.

"Kol, it's okay. Stay for dinner, we'll watch a movie." I smiled at him before hearing my phone go again. I checked it and sighed. "It's Alaric, I'll be right back."

I walked away before answering. "Isabelle! Damon just told us Elijah threatened him for calling you. What's going on?"

"Hi to you too Alaric. Elijah is just being protective, it's cute!."

"He threatened to harm Elena!"

"...Elijah said what exactly?"

I heard the phone moved before hearing Damon speak. "He said if I call you again, Elena would get hurt...badly."

I dropped the phone before hearing movement from behind me. I turned around to see Kol and Elijah standing still, looking at me. "Elijah...tell me it's not true."
