Chapter 13

"I am a Bennett witch, I do not need your help with this monster!" I watched as Sheila was dealing with a new vampire. He was blood hungry, she was keeping him at bay with magic.

"Sheila! Let me help! I won't be back when I leave this place, I only came because I got a letter saying Bennett needed their Crow!" She kept yelling no until she was thrown into a wall.

I ran over and used my wind to throw the vampire away. I showed my teeth and fins before hissing in his direction. He ran forward only to be knocked down by Sheila. I grabbed his head and snapped it clean off before grabbing a stake and handing it to the Bennett witch I was to protect. She stabbed him through the heart and we both watched as he turned grey befor going to ash.

"I didn't need your help and I sent no message."

"Sheila, Crow's get their messages from the ground. It told me you needed help so I came. That thing is dead so I can leave. You are safe, that Is all I care about. Now I will go and not come back, Goodbye Bennett witch."

I ran off and used the wind to aid me back home, out of Mystic Falls. But I knew Sheila would need me again one day.

Me and Sheila laughed while Bonnie smiled. Elena came back so we all got up and left to the spot of summoning. The old church.

Sheila told Bonnie what to do and we all watched silently. They got ready and started to do the spell. I used my magic to protect their souls from unwanted possession. My eyes were siren like and some scales were on my arms. My guard and protection for the Bennett family were everything to me at the moment, Stefan could protect Elena. My witch bond never broke with the Bennetts, even when leaving for years before coming back to the house my mother died in and being taken by people to be given to Jenna.

The door moved and everyone stopped. Stefan went to get the gasoline and Damon grabbed Elena and pulled her into the cave. I raised my hands to the entrance to the cave and the hole we were in, protection took over. The girl from the hotel room walked in and Sheila told us to let her go. I agreed and she went in. They weren't coming out, no vampire was, Elena could leave. I looked to Sheila before smiling at her.

"Always smart huh, Sheila?"

"You know I am smart, Isabelle."

Stefan came down and went to go into the cave but Sheila stopped him and told him why. His face told me everything, he understood the danger. Elena screamed and he ran in. Bonnie grabbed the book and asked to be told what to do, so she would do it and bring down the seal.

"I am strong enough but I can't do magic and protect the Bennetts at the same time. I'm sorry." I went quiet, Bonnie convinced her mother to help just to get Stefan out.

He came to the door and Elena found out he couldn't leave, he went back in for Damon. Anna came out with her mother and left, Bonnie started failing. I punched the wall before joining in the circle and saying the spell. Elena ran in and managed to get Damon and Stefan out just in time. The door closed.

I helped Bonnie out the hole with Sheila. Stefan and Damon got out with Elena. I heard Jeremy groan and looked over to Stefan. He nodded letting me know he was ok. Damon on the other hand wasn't alright, Katherine wasn't in there.

I shook my head and helped the Bennetts home and walked in with them. Sheila was weak but she kept saying she was fine. I took her to bed and put a bottle of water by the bed with a note saying there is food in the fridge. I done the same with Bonnie before going to their kitchen and cooked pancakes, waffles and lunch for them both.

I went home once they were fine, well almost home. I thought back to the memory I had when I was knocked out. The nice vampire, I wonder if he is still alive. I got a text from Elena saying she was at Bonnie's, odd I just was there before putting them both to sleep. Maybe I woke Bonnie up by cooking, whoops. I got another text, she's gone. I knew exactly what she ment.

I fell to the ground and put my hand on the pavement. Sheila... No... I started crying, my Bennett witch was gone. I got up and ran into the forest, not caring where I went. I kept running until I tripped over a root. I started crying more. Until I fell asleep from crying in the forest all alone.

I woke up on a bed, I cuddled into the pillows and cried more remembering the reason I was in the woods. I sat up when I heard the door and a man walked in. He seemed familiar, he walked over and handed me food and a drink before walking out. I looked around the room, I was in a wooden house, I'm guessing a house in the forests.

I got up and looked out the window, it was a beautiful view. I was watching the sky when I heard a woosh of wind and suddenly I was grabbed. I looked up and saw the same man that brought me food.

"Nooo, vampire. Please go away." I was still upset, I didn't even have the strength to push him away. He just chuckled before helping me back to the bed.

"You need to eat. I got raw fish and fruit for you to have." I gave him a confused look before he putting the tray on my lap and motioning to my ears.

I raised my hands and felt my ears, FINS! SHIT! I moved my hair quickly and turned to hide them but soft hands took mine before pulling them down.

"It's ok, your secret is safe, my dear. Now eat up and you will go back to normal. I need to leave to go deal with something, enjoy the house. Come here when you need a break from things." He gently fixed my hair before walking out the room and I heard the front door close.

I couldn't help but smile slightly, was he the same vampire from my past or a different vampire that is nice. I ate the food and tasted something off about them. Vervain... how did he, without it harming him? I ate the rest of the food and drank the juice he gave me. I got up and took the tray to the kitchen, when I found it.

The house was huge! So many bedrooms, bathrooms, random rooms for nothing, a huge ass living room and finally a big kitchen. I walked over to the sink and cleaned the dishes before putting the tray away and walking to the couch. I was allowed to stay so that's what I did, for a long while before going back to Mystic Falls.

Elena tried calling me, I declined each time and just turned one of the empty rooms into and art room with the help of my vampire friend. I spent most of my time paining, drawing, creating random things and just being me for once, just letting go of all my worried.
