Chapter 28

Jeremy was getting his ass beaten by a group of guys. I ran over and grabbed one of them before snapping their neck and bitting the other ripping out their skin. They shot at me with a stake, it peirced my sholder. Damon and Stefan came over and they got shot at aswell. I took the stake out and grabbed the last guy before looking in their eyes, compulsion... I killed a compelled civilian...

Damon sped off to get Bonnie and Elena. I used my hearing to hear Alaric talk to Elena. I ran out the school quickly and followed Elena and Bonnie. We went into the school to an empty hallway.

Alaric started talking, definitely not Alaric. Klaus! Bonnie got in a protection stance for Elena and I got into a stance ready to show who I was. Bonnie threw him at a wall and I pulled her behind me. I used my wind and threw him into the trophy case. The girls ran but that left me to be alone with Klaus.

"So you are the girl from the burning house screaming mother."

"Get out of his body! Please!" I was begging, I wanted Alaric back, I wanted my father figure back. "Just don't kill him..."

He grabbed me and pulled me to a snack room, Bonnie snapped his hand and I fell to the floor. Bonnie kept attacking him, my eyes full of tears. I watched as Bonnie used her magic and kept harming Alaric's body to harm Klaus. I raised my hand to Bonnie and caught her before she fell to the ground.

The magic stopped and Alaric was gone. Bonnie was gone... I got up and refused to cry over losing another Bennett witch. I walked away as Elena was being taken home by Stefan. Damon was gonna deal with her body and I was gonna set Elijah free. I walked home, still refusing to cry. My heart was broken, I didn't have my Bennett witch. A Crow without a Bennett is useless... A Crow's job was to keep them safe... I failed...

I walked in and to the basement. As soon as I saw the body I cried, I held Elijah's hand while I let tears fall. I lowered my body so my head was on his torso. Damon came to me and told me Bonnie was ok, she made it believable that she died. She was alive. I got up and made him hit the wall with such force it cracked.

I stayed silent before walking past him and to the living room. Elena was face timing her, I ran over and seen her. I smiled, she was ok... she's alive. My Bennett witch was alive. "A Crow can't survive without her Bennett."

After a while I went to bed on the couch, I had my fins showing so the noise of a door opening could wake me up no matter how deep I was. I smelt something off but left it to be Damon being a jerk.

When I woke up, something felt off, more off than normal. Then I heard a voice, one that should still be gone. I got up and sleepily walked to the basement to see Elena and Elijah. I grabbed some blood and gave it to Elijah. He ran out the house but stayed at the door. He had to be invited in.

Me and Elena told him to be quiet, I handed him a new suit and Elena gave him the dagger. We went for a drive, Elena tried to bargain with him but I spoke up.

"Elijah, Niklaus is here." Fear was in my tone, his protection came out as Stefan called. Elena answered and after she was done Elijah took her phone.

He told us of Klaus and his tricks. I took Elijah's hand and smiled softly, he returned the favor. We went to the Lockwood's home and Elijah got us in. He took the suit I gave him and went upstairs to change.

I sat on the couch and talked to Elena. He came down and we told him what happened while he was dead. I soon learned Elijah would have done anything for his brother and we learned about his siblings. They were humans but somehow became originals.

We walked outside with him and I took his hand. "You tricked me with pretending to be drunk, my dear. You owe me." I nodded as he grabbed my hand and I smiled at him.

Elena looked at us confused, I was confused by her. "You two act less like friends and more like your dating."

"Elena, he just likes keeping me calm and safe. He does this by cheering me up and relaxing me by doing different things. He tried things you guys do and it just never worked." We got to stairs and we all walked down and Elijah continued the Originals story.

We learned the Sun and Moon curse was dearest to Klaus because he drew the Aztec paintings. Turns out it wasn't Aztec but it was fake. Me and Elena became confused and followed after Elijah. He continued talking, there was a curse placed on Klaus. He was trying to break it, the curse was-we never got told.

Jenna was in trouble, I stayed with Elijah as Elena left to protect Jenna. I sat down with him and he told me his story with Katherine or Katerina as he calls her. I held his hand and listened to him speak for hours. We soon took a walk and that relaxed me hugely.

"I'm sorry, Elijah. I really am. I would talk to you when you were just lying there when I felt terrible. It made me feel better even though you couldn't respond. I left a suit with you after you were burned. I cleaned you up the best I could after that."

"You were always the sweet one, Isabelle." We both smiled and waited for Elena to return. "Will she return?"

"Yes. Unless Damon says no." Just as I finished the sentance Elena walked in.

We went straight back to the curse on Klaus. The curse was a hybrid curse, he was a werewolf and vampire because Klaus was not their father's son, and Elijah's father killed Klaus' family, his father and siblings to the man his wife cheated on him with. Klaus wanted to break the curse so he could sire his own bloodline. Vampire-Werewolf hybrids to endanger everyone.

The dagger won't work, it's silver. It had to be a witch to kill Klaus. Full moon transition leaves Klaus vulnerable, we could kill him then. Elijah found a way to save the doppleganger, that is why he wanted Elena...

Elena left and went home, I gave Elijah a hug and whispered something into his ear before leaving.

"I didn't stay because I was your friend, I stayed because of something stronger. Something your brother said was weak."

I walked with Elena and Elijah followed. Elena invited Elijah into the home and we all walked in to see the brothers fight. All he wanted was an apology and they won't be harmed. I smiled, he really was a sweet guy. Stefan apologised and it was just left to Damon.

He didn't apologise but he did tell us to go to hell and left. Damon went to his room, I heard screams and knew Andie was being hurt. I went to run up but Elijah grabbed my arm. I watched as she left the house, she was alive but scared...

I pulled from Elijah's grip and ran to Damon. I gave him a hug and didn't let go, no matter how hard he tried. He soon started to cry and I just let him, not caring if it showed I cared for him. He grabbed my shoulders before looking in my eyes.

"Leave, now-" I cut off his upset voice with my soothing voice.

"Rest, you should feel better soon." I sat him on the bed and walked out. "I'll bring some blood packs up." I done what I said and went to the group afterwards. They just stared at me. "What?"

"You just ran to him like he was a child with a bruise." Elena smiled before leaning on the wall.

"Hey, he needed comfort so I done that. Also! Screw you! That child was upset and alone, I gave them a sweet and cheered them up!" I smiled while Elena laughed. Elijah looked at me confused until I explained. "I was at the park with Elena, just walking about to clear my mind from my parents deaths. I seen a child, a little boy crying with a bruise on his knee and tears in his eyes. I bought sweets and walked over, handed him one and asked what happened. He told me and I sat with him until his parent arrived. They were mad a stranger was with their child until they realized the child was laughing and smiling."

"You went out your way to cheer up a child knowing you'd be yelled at?" I nodded to Elijah and he walked over to me. "Always the caring and sweet girl from your childhood."

"Yeah, now I kill to keep my family safe. How times change." We both laughed and sat on the seats. I got him a drink and handed him it. "Since I stole yours before you died... Sorry again."

"Thank you, Isabelle." He drank the alcohol and we sat talking with Stefan and Elena until I finally fell asleep next to Elijah.

I had my head on his shoulder and I was cuddled into his arm while everyone talked. I was comfy, I didn't have a nightmare, instead I had a lovely dream about killing Klaus and Elena was alive and safe.
