Chapter 50

I packed a suitcase of clothes and grabbed my phone and purse from the table. Kol watched me before throwing a pillow at me. I picked it up before walking over to him and placing it on the couch where it belonged.

"Yes, Kol?" I looked to him, his brown hair messy and his brown eyes an amber shade.
 
"Where are you going? Elijah doesn't look happy about it." His tone was concerned, I grabbed a comb before fixing his hair as Elijah walked down.
 
"I'm going to Mystic Falls, I'm visiting Elena. Klaus scares her still." I walked to the suitcase once I was done and zipped it up before walking to the door. "Elijah doesn't want me going encase I don't come back." I looked to him before smiling softly. "I'm going now, I'll see you guys when I'm back. Don't kill to much people, okay?"
 
"Love please reconsider." Elijah walked over to me. I folded my arms before glaring at him. "I know we made a deal but-"
 
"No buts. Elijah, we need some space, this is that space. I love you; I can't live without you but I'm still mad you for threatening my family. I will see you when I'm back." I kissed his cheek before leaving with my suitcase and bag in hand. I used my wind to go to Mystic Falls and to sneak into the home I joined when I first moved there. I put my suitcase and bag down before texting Elena.
 
'Where are you?'
 
'Bridge and I have news about Ric.'
 
I put my phone in my pocket before using my wind to find the bridge she was at. Damon was with her. I landed and hugged him from behind, scaring him.
 
"Isabelle!?" Once he knew it was me, he hugged back. I laughed before pulling Elena into the hug. "Why the fuck did Elijah threaten me?"
 
"He gets jealous easily now, he's still a gentleman and a sweetheart." I pulled away before looking at Elena. "What has Alaric done?"
 
"He died to many times, the ring it changed him and he now kills people. We could really use your help Izzy." I looked around before seeing the mayor. "She doesn't know... we kinda wanna do this ourself."
 
"Okay." I nod before walking to the mayor. "Madame Mayor, hi!"
 
"Isabelle Crow, welcome back. Elena said you went on an adventure with your boyfriend." Her tone was caring as usual but her eyes were on the workers around the bridge. "Were rebuilding the bridge, glad you came back to see it."
 
"I came back because I missed my family. How are things?"
 
"I can't tell you much but people have been dying..."
 
"Mrs Lockwood please, I don't care if I'm not a member of the council. I am your friend and this towns friend, tell me in detail." She explained how people from the council was dying, she feared she may be next. Alaric was cleared from suspicion so was his doctor girlfriend. "I will get to the bottom of this, I will make sure nobody else dies. You have my word."
 
"Thank you, Isabelle." She looked at me and smiled, I could see the pain and fear in her eyes. I smiled at her before walking to Elena.
 
"Let's get to the bottom of this, now." I folded my arms before hearing Damon clear his throat. "Yes?"
 
"You should know, Alaric knows your weakness, he won't be scared to use it against you."
 
"Got it. Thanks for the heads up." I walked away, I needed to find Alaric. I needed to talk to him.
 
I walked around alone for hours, I soon seen him, he was at home with his girlfriend. I walked in and straight to him before hugging him tightly. The girl moved back as Alaric hugged back.
 
"Belle, your back." He didn't sound different. I stopped hugging him and looked into his eyes, he could see my worry. "I'm fine."
 
"Good. I can't lose you too, Ric. I just can't." I stepped back and looked to the lady before holding my hand out to her. "Isabelle Crow, what's your name?"
 
"I'm Meredith Fell. Nice to meet you, Miss Crow." She shook my hand but moved back after feeling how cold I was. "Are you ill? You’re freezing."
 
"Oh! No that's just because I haven't eaten and I used my wind a lot today." I walked to the kitchen and made myself something to eat.
 
"What?" Her confusion made me laugh, I walked back eating a raw fish and leaned on the table looking at her. "What are you?"
 
"Siren... Witch... Hybrid." I spoke between bites before sitting down. I hung out with them for hours, Meredith getting ton know me and Alaric doing work.
 
Night fell faster than I thought, I sat on the couch before my phone rang. I declined it before looking to Alaric. I've been keeping an eye on him for hours; I've been getting bored and called by Elijah constantly.  Elena has been keeping an eye on him too, Bonnie was coming back to do a spell. A spell I can do but my spells are aiding or protection spells, I rarely use the other ones. I grabbed my phone as it rang again this time handing it to Alaric.
 
"Please make him stop calling, I need space." Alaric took the phone and nodded before answering the phone.
 
"Isabelle needs space Elijah, accept it or you will lose her." He spoke as soon as he answered. I watched as his expression softened. "I'll tell her." He hung up and handed me the phone before sitting with me on the couch. "He misses you and wants you to come home."
 
"He threatened Elena to stop Damon calling. He deserves this." I put my phone away before closing my eyes for what felt like seconds but I opened my eyes to Meredith screaming. "Huh?"
 
I got up to see Alaric trying to stab Meredith with a knife. I used my wind and flew him back hut he had hurt her already. I ran past him and in front of her, her blood making me want to feast but I refused. I kept him back with my wind as I heard her fumble with a phone.
 
My powers came to a halt as my energy depleted. I ran at him and tackled him as Meredith ran off. I watched as she ran up the stairs. I felt the knife in my arm before it was removed and put into my gut. I felt the blood leak from my body before being pushed off and seeing Alaric run after Meredith.
 
I held onto my gut as it was the worst injury. Not long after I seen him walking down the stairs wrapping his arm in a towel, as Elena came in the house. Stefan was by my side without Alaric seeing, helping me to sit up. My vision was becoming spotty and fuzzy and when it finally went dark.
 
I felt the cold refreshing waves of the ocean hit me as I opened my eyes to see a male before me. He was smiling gently at me; he held a hand out to me. I reached up and took it as he pulled me up.
 
"I am Arcadeus, your ruler hybrid." He lifted my chin slightly before looking into my eyes. "You have a lot to do, don't you?"
 
"Am I dead?" My voice was shaky as he pulled me into a hug. "Oh god I'm dead!" Tears fell down my face and I hugged into him. "I let Elena down... I'll never apologise to Elijah and..."
 
"Shhhh." His hand reached my hair, playing with it to soothe me. "Its not your time yet my dear." I looked up at him before seeing a soft smile on his lips. "I'll send you back on one condition."
 
"What?" I stepped back and looked around. I seen two other sirens, they peaked my interest. "Who are they?"
 
"My sires... next time you die, you become one of my sires. Agree and you live, refuse and you go to hell." I stepped back before looking down. "Thinking?"
 
"No... I feel burning... really hot flames engulfing my body." I let a scream of pain out before I seen him fade away. "I am never being a sire to you." I seen his face turn to rage before my eyes adjusted to a hospital room.
 
I tried to move but someone's wrist was at my lips giving me blood. I looked to who it was, Klaus. He moved his hand after seeing I was awake. I sat up before feeling different. "Don't worry so much, Love. It will fade, a siren can't be a vampire."
 
I grabbed his arm tightly before pulling him into a hug. "I... I don't think I am a siren anymore... I feel different... fragile..." He wrapped his arms around me and held me close. He leaned down and smelled my sent, I wasn't a siren. I was a witch, a normal witch.
 
"I can turn you, Love. If you feel like a fragile little thing." I nodded and soon felt him move and look at me. "You will be different. Elijah might not like it."
 
"Turn me. My choice, please Klaus." He gave in and fed me more blood before snapping my neck. I felt my body turn freezing, my magic fade and my hunger for blood come rushing to my mind.
 
I gasped awake and Klaus was gone, blood packets and clothes were beside me with a note. 'Sorry love, need to go help family. Speak to you soon. Klaus xx' I drank the packets before getting up and changing my clothing. I looked to the door to see Elena. She walked in and noticed the packets; fear was written all over her face. As a siren, I learned control, as a vampire, I have the same control.
 
"Surprise Elena."
