Chapter 22

I started hearing Rose cough so I ran p stairs to see her pinning Elena and yelling at her. Elena said she wasn't Katherine and Rose stopped. Its getting worse. Hallucinations... I grabbed more blood and put it beside the bed.  Me and Elena sat with her on the bed. She told us of her home and soon fell asleep. I told Elena to call me if she needs me before leaving the house.

I walked about the town and kept an eye on everyone that I passed. I soon got a text from Elena saying she needed help. I went to run to the house but I turned around and ran into Elijah.

"Not now, Elijah, Elena need help." I was in protection mode, he just grabbed my hand and took me somewhere less covered in people.

"I hear the school is having a party of some kind. I would like you to go with me." He was smiling, but I was in no mood.

"Yeah, sure. I need to go-"

"Isabelle, manners."

"Sorry. Rose got bit by a werewolf and Elena is alone with her. I'm sure she will be ok, but I need to go. Elena needs me."

"Damon will help her, why don't you come with me for a bit? Like old times."

"Ok what's going on? You want my company when my cousin could die."

"Just this once, a favor."

"...fine. But if Elena is hurt I will stab you." I took his hand and we went to the grill for something to drink and to hang out.

Soon night fall came and we went to the party at the school. A vampire attack happened so Elijah kept me away from the scene. He took me home once we had enough and I thanked him for a lovely peaceful night. I gave him a hug before going in the house. I seen Alaric and Jenna looking over the counter to see me.

I walked over and told them about what happened. Alaric smiled while Jenna was just giggling. We all stayed up talking about what has happened. I looked at my phone to see Elena had sent me a message saying everything was ok, Damon helped find Rose and now she's gone. My cheerful mood dropped before I called Damon asking where Rose was burried. He never told me.

I went to my room and lied on the bed. I grew to like her in the time I seen her. Then I heard a voice I never thought I would hear, John. I got up and ran over and tackled him.

"Woah! Isabelle it's alright! He's with us!" Stefan grabbed me and held me tightly. I just hissed and wanted to bit his throat out. "He's here to talk so please be nice."

After a while, Stefan handed me a raw fish to eat, I did while sitting on the couch with Elena, Stefan and John. Those three talked then we went to bed. Elena askes him again in the morning what he was doing here and his answer was to protect her.

I left the house immediately after waking up and changing. I went to the cabin, let myself in before walking to the kitchen and grabbing a knife. I grabbed some fish and started cutting and stabbing the shit out of it until I gelt a hand over mine.

I felt a hand go around my waist before moving me away from the counter before turning me around and taking the knife. I looked at him, he was concerned but I just tried to grab the knife.

He used that tone and I just grabbed the fish and walkes away. I sat on the couch and ate silently. He walked over before sitting beside me, knife no longer in his hand.

"What's going on?"

"John is back, the asshole of a birth father Elena has. I wanna rip him apart, he tried killing all vampires in town. That means Elena's friends. I just need to cool off a bit before going back home because I will kill him in front of people."

"Oh... I thought you were mad at me."

"I am." I got up and heard my phone go. I walked over and seen a text from Stefan. "No..." I grabbed my phone and ran out. Elijah ran after me and grabbed my arm before asking what's wrong. "I need to save my friend from werewolves."

He let my arm go and I used the wind to help me search around for Caroline. I focused my hearing and soon heard her in pain. I ran in the direction, I probably wasn't silent because a guy tackled me. I used the wind and threw him into the sky. I got up and moved quickly. I saw a girl and gave both her and the guy headaches.

I smelled Stefan and stopped. He had Tyler, well he's gonna find out I'm not human. The girl whistled and more people showed up. I saw Tyler get released. A fight soon happened, I saw Stefan get stabbed and Damon got shot. I snapped.

I made all the werewolves fighting fall to the knees with headaches. "YOU TRAP MY FRIEND, STAB ONE AND SHOOT ANOTHER! NOW IT IS MY TURN!" I made them all bleed from their eyes, my mind being clouded by hate. After I was done a witch named Jonas Martin showed up and told Stefan he needed to leave.

I watched them leave with Caroline then looked to Tyler. "Trust me, get on my wrong side and this will be you." I fell but Jonas caught me and I blacked out.

I woke up on a couch with Elijah looking at me. I smiled weakly but he got mad. "You used too much magic, are you insane? You maybe stong but you can still die from that!"

"I...I'm sorry. Something snapped and I..." I sat up and Jonas handed me a drink. I took it and smiled. "Thank you." I drank it but spat it out immediately. "Ah! Ew! What kind of water is this!?"

"Vervain water, to save you from being compelled." Jonas looked at me as I placed the cup down and looked at him. I hummed a tune for siren compulsion then I set him free. "What the hell?"

"I told you she is unique." Elijah walked over before picking up the cup and getting me proper water.

"I'm a siren too Mr Martin. I can compelle people but I really don't like to. Also sorry but I needed you to see I wasn't lying." He asked how and I told him my story, even the part when Niklaus and Elijah murdered my mother. "But Elijah is nicer than his brother and will be making it up to me or I will find a lovely stake and put it through his heart."

"Dear we have established that won't work." Elijah handed me a glass of water, I drank it all as he sat by my feet.

"Oh I meant a magical stake. One that will kill. I just need to figure it out." I smiled sweetly at him as he looked at me with worry. "I can't kill you idiot, I don't want to either. Yes you helped kill my mother but you have helped me a lot. And your my friend." We both smiled until I got a text. Jonas handed me my phone and I got up. "Gotta go. Caroline needs some girl time with me, Elena and Bonnie."

"No magic this time, Isabelle." I asve Elijah a hug before saying 'ok, your highness' as a joke before saying goodbye and leaving the house.

I went to Caroline's and knocked, she opened the door to invite me in. I walked in and we all became like children. Talking, eating junkfood and watching movies. Caroline told us everything they done to her, my actions were right. She was sprayed with vervain water, shot at by bullets and small stakes. I told Elena and Bonnie what I done and Bonnie just stared at me.

"How?"

"I snapped. Something in me just broke like a twig. Caroline was trapped and being tortured, Stefan got hurt by a stake to the side and Damon got shot at. I guess, I just got tired of my friends being hurt. So Bonnie if you need any help with spells that require a lot, I don't mind." I smiled and Bonnie took my hand and thanked me. I grabbed my bag and took out my mother's book, and another one. I handed them to Bonnie. "Crows are meant to share with Bennett so here. Look through these or ask for them whenever you want."

"So I have a question." I looked to Elena and tilted my head to the side, telling her to continue. "How are you and I related?"

"My mother was great friends with Isobelle. She told Isobelle that she would like me and you to be friends but when Isobelle just left one day my mother told me to keep you safe. I lied to the police officers and said you were my cousin so they would send me to you so I could protect you." I lied down and looked at Caroline.

"So your not actually her cousin?" I shook my head as Coraline got an idea.

"Lets do makeovers!"
