Chapter 35

I went to the cabin and cleaned my outfit from it's blood stains before putting it back on and going back to Rebekah. We sat and waited for hell to come back, Stefan woke up and Rebekah talked to him while I hopped off the van and walked about the empty streets.

I walked back to see Stefan bleeding and Rebekah holding the metal. I sighed before picking her up and sitting her in the van. I walked to Stefan and took the metal out him and helped him up. I bit my arm and fed him some of my blood before moving away and sitting on the van's floor.

"What was that for?" Rebekah glared at me while I just sat down.

"He's still a friend, Rebekah." I was honest to her before glaring towards her and getting up. "You had no right in stabbing him." She sped off leaving me to help Stefan.

I walked off when he was ok and walked to the school after her. I walkes about quietly to see Rebekah attacking Caroline and Tyler. I ran over and pulled Rebekah off her and held her down, I was thrown at a wall making Caroline scream my name and Rebekah speeding off with Tyler.

I got up and ran after her only to see Tyler on the floor being dragged by Rebekah. "Niklaus! Please don't harm her!" I walked over making him look at me.

"Isabelle, welcome." I growled before tackling him, he moved and pinned me quickly. "Now, what will I do with you?"

I made wind throw him away as I got up and ran to Elena. Just then Stefan walked in and said he would be loyal to Klaus. Rage built up, I moved to the two humans Klaus told him to kill but he took that as a chance to hit Elena. Stefan ran at him, angrily. I yelled for the two human to leave before running to Elena.

I made sure she was ok while Stefan and Klaus fought. Klaus compelled Stefan which made Elena look in horror as Stefan caught up to the humans and killed them. I got the smell of their blood before giving into the urge to eat their hearts.

I ran over and ripped their hearts out their chests and ate them while Rebekah came in asking for her necklace. I ate the hearts quickly as Rebekah ran and bit Elena. Klaus made her stop, I ran over and hit Rebekah before walking to Elena and forced her healing to work faster through magic, it caused myself pain.

I seen Rebekah and Klaus leave, I got up and ran after them. Klaus grabbed me before pinning me down. "You are not useful now."

I pushed him away and growled. I made him buckle over in pain before grabbing his head and forcing it onto my knee. "YOU FUCKING ALLOWED HER TO HARM MY COUSIN! MY FUCKING FAMILY!" Rebekah went to attack me but I forced her into the wall. "HARM MY FAMILY AGAIN AND IT WILL BE WORSE!"

I walked away as they left, I ran to their cabin before walking to Elijah's bedroom and sat on his bed. I let tears fall constantly, I lied on his bed and hugged into the pillow while waiting for everything, all my emotions to fade and leave my body.

I closed my eyes and only thought of the only vampire I would trust with my life, Elijah. I heard a faint scream making me rush out the cabin and to the hospital faster than any creature. I ran in and towards Elena's room before snapping the nurse's neck and changing it to give her blood instead of taking.

I held her hand as she went back to sleep, I moved to outside her room and seen Damon walking over. I motioned him to the room and he took everything off her before picking her up and leaving with her. I grabbed the blood packet and went to Klaus and handed him it before telling him to leave.

I walked away before hearing him clear his throat. "Are you not coming?"

"Fuck no. I am staying so my cousin doesn't die to the likes of a bastard like you. Until Elijah is back, I am done with your family and Rebekah is allowed to keep that necklace, as a friendship gift." I walked farther away before heading towards the cabin and staying there throughout the night.

When the sun rose, I got breakfast and cleaned the cabin again. I found documents on who owns the building before leaving to the mayor and asking to have it in my name. She told me she couldn't but I kept insisting.

"Isabelle Gilbert, I can't. You can't own that building. I'm sorry." I placed the documents down before standing up.

"Madam Mayor, please. I know the man that lived there, I just want that home in safe hands, mine. Please hand me the lease and put it in my name, it will be a safe place from vampires then." She sighed before reading the documents before handing me new ones. "Thank you." I signed it and smiled to her.

"Keep to your word, vampire safe." I nodded before sitting down. "...Caroline can be invited in, she is a good one."

"So can Damon and Elijah. I swear to make sure only ones that intend good will can enter." We both said our farewells before I left and going to the Salvatore house.

I walked in, past Damon and the compelled girls and to the kitchen but I froze hearing Rebekah upstairs. I ran up the stairs before looking at her blonde hair as she turned around.

"Isabelle..." I walked over and hugged her. "I thought you'd hate me..."

"I hate Niklaus, not you, well a little for harming my family. I got something done if you wanna live with me instead." I seperated from her and smiled.

"What did you do?" I handed her the documents, she read them before smiling at me. "You took our home?"

"Yep! Come on, I'll help move everything then we're going to school." I picked up her bags and she left with me. I walked to the cabin with her.

When we reached the cabin I invited her in and put her bags down. She walked in and explored her own home. I walked to Elijah's room and cleaned it up. I walked out and seen Rebekah at the door.

"That's Elijah's room." She looked at me before smirking.

"I sleep in there when I miss him which has been every night. I do have my own room." I took her to it before walking in, she looked at it and smiled brightly.

"He really spoiled you." I sat on the bed and looked at her confused. "He bought you new things and a really soft bed. He soiled you."

"I spoiled him. If he needed blood I wouldn't mind if he kept blood packs here or drink in front of me. If there was no blood packets I'd let him drink mine..." I walked out the room and down the stairs before taking Rebekah to school.
