Chapter 8

I walked late into class, Damon dropped me off and I apologised for the way I was the night before. I took my seat after apologising, we had a new teacher, Alaric Saltzman, I told him my name before bringing out a notebook and pen. I took notes while Elena handed me a note, I read it and wrote a note back to her saying I'll tell her at lunch.

After class before lunch, I was the first to leave and I went to my locker before writing a note.

'I got drunk quickly, I'm a lightweight and the bartender gave me a very strong drink. I spoke to Damon after Lexi died and he took me home, to his. I ended up staying the night, nothing happened! Just cuddling.'

Elena walked over and I handed her the note before walking away. I went to Alaric and talked to him about why I was late, I used the excuse my alarm didn't go off. He told me it was ok and I noticed his ring.

"That is beautiful, sir. Must be unique." I smiled as he looked at the ring.

"Thank you and it's a family heirloom." He looked up as Jeremy came to the door, I walked out and tapped my cousin on the shoulder before going to grab a bite to eat.

My phone went and I answered it immediately, I wish I didn't. It was Damon, he needed advice with Stefan. I told him to apologise and try and make it up to him, I walked past Elena and kept speaking to him.

"Ok, Damon. I get it, he hates you and wants to kill you but it's how you treat him. Try being nicer, maybe he might get off your back." Damon thanked me before hanging up. I put my phone away and grabbed a salad. I ate it and left the building.

After school was finished I sat outside looking through a book on history of Mystic Falls. I noticed the time and ran home, I got a text from Elena saying Bonnie was staying over. Yay sleepover!

I got in the house and heard Bonnie's problem. The necklace she had was causing problems, shit. I ran over to her and took her hands and asked if she was alright. She nodded and told me everything. Her ansestor was haunting her, Emily Bennett, the powerful witch. I asked about the necklace and she said she threw it away.

Never throw something from your ansestors away! I held my hand out and said keys, she handed me them and I went to the garage. I sat on my bed and tried finding the necklace with magic. I heard the door and walked out. Caroline is in, and she called Bonnie a lier. The necklace was in her bag, I couldn't help but know Emily took it and handed it back.

The girls spoke while I zoned out. Bonnie talked about witch stuff and I fell. Ow, what the hell?

"Isabelle, you ok?" I nodded to Elena before getting up.

"Yeah fine, just lost my balance sorry." I lied, someone was here, I had to find out who.

"Maybe eat something." I looked at the food, none were fish or healthy. I shook my head and grabbed some fruit before cutting them up and putting them in a bowl.

Coraline apologised to Bonnie for not believing her, me and Elena were listening in. We walked in and sat down. Coraline had a big idea and me and Bonnie didn't like the idea.

"Lets have a seance?"

"No bad idea."

"I don't know, wait what do you mean bad idea?" All eyes were on me after Bonnie spoke.

"Seances can end badly, especially for beginners. And with you being haunted it makes things worse. And Coraline before you even ask, yes I'm a witch too." I got up and looked at the girls. "If we do a Seance I won't have a part in it."

The girls went upstairs while I left the house. I sat on the porch while all lights went off, I listened for any sounds, I heard the flames go higher and a shiver. I got up and tried opening the door, it didn't budge, not getting in that way. I heard the window open and the girls panicking. I used my wind to get up and land safely through the window and seen Bonnie walking into the bathroom while Coraline and Elena were looking elsewhere for something. I looked at Bonnie as the door slammed shut. I ran over and slammed the door the two girls were near closed so they can't see me do something stupid.

"Emily! Emily Bennett! Please don't harm her! Just don't... Don't harm my friend." I barged against the door and it didn't budge, I soon heard Bonnie scream.

The girls got in and ran over to attack the door. The light flickered and she walked out. She had her hand over her eyes and soon she moved them. Her walk wasn't Bonnie, her eyes wasn't Bonnie, that wasn't Bonnie!

I followed after her and told Elena to stay with Coraline. I followed Bonnie, until she threw me at a tree. I got up and threw her against a different one with wind.

"EMILY! I AM A CROW! A FRIEND OF THE BENNETTS!" I walked over to her and took her hand. "If it is to be destroyed, I will help." We both nodded and made our way to the old church.

Damon tried stopping us and Emily threw him into a tree, he got pierced but it wasn't fatal. I ran over and placed a caring hand on his shoulder and politly tell him not to follow. I went after Emily and walked beside her. With her being in Bonnie's body she was giving Bonnie her magic, Bonnie will be stronger.

Emily started making everything we needed for the ritual. Stefan ran over and helped Damon and I soon found out Damon wanted Katherine, a doppelganger of Elena. I was out the circle as Emily done what needed to be done, Damon ran over and bit her. Before Stefan could do anything I tackled him and showed my fins. My pupils were very thin, and my anger was to high.

"DON'T YOU EVER HARM A BENNETT WITCH! CROWS HAVE THEIR BACK DAMON! AT ALL FUCKING TIMES! OLD OR NEW! A FAVOR OR NONE! A CROW NEVER BREAKS THEIR FAMILY'S BOND!" My teeth ached, they turned sharp and I heard Elena gasp. I bit down on Damon's arm before going to Bonnie and picking her up. "Elena, home now! I will explain there!"

We went to the car and Bonnie woke up. She questioned everything, Elena spoke to her. Stefan walked over but I just hissed and took Bonnie into the car. I saw Elena talking to him while I held Bonnie's hand.

"You'll be alright Bonnie, I'm here to keep a promise my ancestors made. For every Bennett witch there will be a Crow as their friend and helper." I pulled her head to my shoulder and kept an hold of her hand. I calmed down and everything went back to normal.

Elena got in the car after shouting after Stefan. I guess he and her are fully done. She got in the car and started to drive. "What are you Isabelle?"
