Chapter 27

It was time for family talk, Isobelle had came back and Jenna started hating Elena. Stefan was going to come over and I was trying to talk to Jenna, she wasn't for it. She ended up leaving the house, Alaric came over to try and talk but that made her leave quicker.

John came out from the kitchen amd tried to speak but I hit him across the face and told him to fuck off. He tried talking again and Alaric gave him a broken nose with a great swing.

After a while, we all walked to the kitchen to see Isobelle. She had news on Klaus, so she told us what she knew. Elena didn't want anything to do with Isobelle or John. Isobelle told Elena about a safe house but Elena told her to get out.

I walked over to Isobelle and she stepped back, her eyes showed she remembered me. "Isabelle..."

"Yeah, named relatively close to you. That is how much my mother cared about you and you left her! You left the only woman that you could talk about magical creatures to..." I was hurt she abandoned my mother without a farewell. "Not to mention she died by vampire hands that I blame on you. Nobody but you knew about my power, except Elijah but both parents trusted him because he saved me. So to me, you are the one I should kill."

Isobelle left and I turned my attention to John before walking out. Elena followed with Stefan and we went to Stefan's home. We all talked about what happened but I was mainly punching a pillow. The brothers came up with an idea to never let her out their sights. Katherine came in and I threw the pillow at her.

I got up and left the house before going to the burning sight with Damon, Bonnie and Jeremy. The house was old and burnt, Damon started to not being able to move and he was in the sunlight. I sat down and watched as Damon left after the witches were done torturing him. I hummed a tune to calm the souls of my kin, it worked because I felt cheerful thanks to them.

"Bonnie, their happy. Now would be the best to practice." I got up and skipped outside to Damon, the door got closed in his face if he wanted to walk in. "Aww Damon, being petty isn't cute."

I walked with him as he walked about, we made small talk and laughed a little. The fire in the house lit and we knew they were ready.  I stayed with Damon to keep the witches away from him. I heard Bonnie scream and soon it stopped. She done it but it still scared me.

Damon took off so I followed with him. We went to the Lockwood home and seen John on the ground. I helped Damon move the body to his. I stayed with the body while he cleaned his hands and top of blood. I seen Damon mad and knew something was up. He told me and I ran to him, he gave me a quick hug before telling me Elena will be safe.

Damon and Stefan went to a house, I followed and we all walked in. Stefan checked upstairs while I stayed downstairs with Damon. We are in the right place but they aren't here. We all walked out and we walked to the blue car. I got in the back and Stefan and Damon were in the front.

Damon tried to tell me to go home but I refused, Elena comes first. Bonnie has the magic of the witches from the past and I had the magic of a Crow. We stopped at the Salvatore house and we waited for Elena.

She soon came in and she was holding Isobelle's necklace. Isobelle was gone. I sat quietly while Stefan and Elena talked, until Damon came in holding documents. Elena was getting the Salvatore house, to keep her safe. Just then John came back and Damon attacked him. He kept apologising so Elena told him to let him go and that she needed to talk to him.

I looked at the deeds and read it carefully, Elena would have the full house to herself if she wanted. I left the room and went to the basement. I sat with Elijah and told him about today. He obviously wouldn't respond but it was calming to me. I still hated him but a part of me still liked him too.

Damon interupted me to go up and have a drink. Bonnie was the secret weapon, we all had. I sat on the couch and drank with them. I gave Damon and Stefan a hug before lying on the couch and going to sleep. The tiredness from tonight made me pass out quickly but I didn't have a nightmare.

I woke up to Damon next to me. I moved and got him a blood packet as he woke up. I handed him it and he took it with a thank you. I was handed clothes by Stefan, I thanked him and went to Damon's room to change. I wore what Stefan brought me, a black top and blue jeans.

Elena was signing the papers so the brothers left. I sat on the couch with the girls while she done this. Once she was done, she invited Stefan and joked with Damon before inviting him in. It was school time, Elena put her jacket on and me and Bonnie waited at the door for her.

Once at school, we went to Alaric's class and took our seats. Alaric walked in and asked what we were gonna learn. A girl spoke up about the 60s dance and class began. He wasn't being himself, I'll talk to him after class.

Class soon finished and everyone left but I walked up to Alaric and sat on his desk. "Hey Ric, got a question avout what we learned?"

"Are you allowed to sit on my desk like that?" He looked at me with annoyance, not like his usual father tone.

"Alaric, did I upset you? I'm sorry if I did. I know Jenna isn't talking to you but that doesn't mean you don't have me to talk to..." I got off his desk and felt like I was gonna cry.

"Miss Gilbert, please go to lunch-"

"You call me Isabelle or Izza or Izz or even Belle but never Miss Gilbert. Are you ok Alaric? Are you feeling ill, if so I can take you home and make soup like my mum made. It works wonders!" I raised my hand to his forgead but he pushed me away before leaving the classroom. "Ok you are not Alaric..."

Who was this person pretending to be my father figure?

I went to Elena and sat with her after a lady left. We talked about the dance before heading to the Salvatore house, or should I say Elena's mansion. We talked more with Damon and Stefan before Alaric walked in. We talked about the night's plan. Damon went to attack bonnie and Bonnie made him go flying, causing me to laugh.

At the dance, I wore a yellow tight top dress with black heels and my hair styled like the 60s. I hated it, I went to the dance and stayed to the walls. I was watching Alaric, something was up with him, I was worried. I lost sight of him due to all the people here, soon the music stopped and a song was playing for Elena by Klaus. I walked out the room and held my head. I tried calming my nerves but couldn't, I felt tears brim my eyes and I ran to the bathroom.

I missed Elijah, the way he'd comfort me when I was upset or angry. I soon calmed myself, with a lot of fails, before fixing my natural makeup and going back to the party. I seen Elena dancing with Damon, Stefan was telling Caroline what is going on, Jeremy and Bonnie were dancing. I looked for Alaric but seen Elena alone.

I looked for her and kept her in my sight. Jeremy went to Elena and talked with her but he soon left and Stefan took his place. I seen Stefan follow him and looked at the ground. I thought back to the times me and Elijah would just listen to music and dance softly.

I looked back up and seen Elena leave with Bonnie. I looked around and didn't see Jeremy. I left the party room and walked silently around the halls. I soon came across a sight I didn't want to see ever.
