🎃Halloween Special🎃

"Isabelle hurry up!"

"Izza we're gonna be late!"

"You're taking longer than Caroline!"

I walked down the stairs to see everyone impatiently waiting. I wore a black dress that showed my curves, a pare of black long sleeved gloves with pink paw pads on it to match my cat like socks. I had cat ears on and my hair wavy with small fish clips about it. I had smokey brown eyeshadow with black cat eyeliner. I had a pink nose with silver whiskers along my cheeks. My lips were made to look match a cat's.

They looked at me and sighed before smiling. "Now we see why it took so long." Elena spoke before holding a hand out to me. "Where's the black heels with pink under colour?"

"Elijah has them and didn't allow me to take them. I'm fine with this though, cats don't wear shoes so technically this is more accurate."

"We all went basic, your making us feel like were not trying!" Caroline whined as I took Elena's arm. "Why do you have to be extra on Halloween?"

"Go big or go home. It's a saying, isn't it?" I smiled before leaving with everyone. Elena was dressed as a dead nurse, Bonnie a witch, Caroline a witch and Jeremy a vampire. We were heading to the party Tyler was throwing at his house with his mother. "Let's get to this party!"

We all started running before stopping to see Matt, Stefan, Damon and Rebekah. I ran to them before hugging the lovely vampire woman first. She hugged back before pouting. "I couldn't find anything good to wear."

"Then, let's go get you something last second. I'll do your make up and everything." I moved from her and looked to Matt, a dead doctor. "Matching with Elena, nice." I looked to Damon; he dressed as a basic demon while Stefan was a basic angel. "Huh... thought you'd just go as yourselves." I laughed before dragging Rebekah to the store.

I bough her black platform boots, a black skirt with some crosses on it, a white blouse, black ribbon for a bow and a black blazer like cardigan. I gave her crosses for earrings, a cute little black nurse hat and done her makeup. She looked like a dark priest; her blonde hair and cute style makeup made her seem innocent.

"Oh wow... thank you!" I hugged her from behind before kissing her cheek and smiling. "Your good at last minute designs."

"I've done this a lot for years. Come, let's get to the party." I smiled before letting her do and walking with her before meeting up with Kol, Finn and Niklaus. "Oh boy! The brothers I like the least!" I joked earing their glares.

Klaus went as a vampire, himself basically but more on the fictional side. Kol was a hit and run corpse and Finn was dressed as a prince. I smiled at them before entering the party and seeing Tyler dressed as a werewolf while his mother dressed as a queen. I waved before walking off looking for a certain vampire.

I spent hours looking before taking a break and stepping outside and look at the stars. The house had black, orange, purple and grey decorations, fake spiders, webs and pumpkins. They had fairy lights put around the house with spiders dangling odd them with some ghosts along it. Tyler really goes big with parties, well I'm sure it was his mother's idea.

I leaned on a railing before letting out a sigh and lowering my head to the grass below, a fake grave laid below me. I snickered at the irony, Vampires don't die normally, nothing really does. Humans only die normally; I lowered my head more as my eyes darkened. My parents died like normal people would...

I was brought out my thoughts as someone spoke. "Waiting for me, darling?" I spun around and came face to face with Elijah. My face lit up like the stars in the sky before hugging him tightly. "Oh, did something happen?"

"My thoughts went dark but I'm okay now. I have you here!" I looked up at him and seen fake blood on his face. "...Honey, what did you come as?"

"A pirate, why?" I looked into his eyes before nodding gently to myself. "Isabelle?"

"So that blood isn't fake?" We immediately separated and he wiped his lips and chin with a handkerchief. I laughed while he panicked thinking people found out. "Relax, they'll think it was fake. Now." I looked dead in his eyes before turning my face serious. "Give me my fucking heels!"

He handed me a bag that held my heels. I put them on before noticing sweets in the bag. He could tell I wanted to cheer like a child but I refused to even if I was aching to do so. I sat on a bench with him, eating the sweets, watching the stars, hearing spooky scary skeletons playing through the house.

Suddenly the lights went off as everyone screamed, the music glitched and turned into broken sounds. Everyone outside ran in to see what happened. A light hit the top of the staircase as a person appeared. I rolled my eyes before walking up the stairs and pushing them down it. The lights flickered back on and the music went back to normal.

"Troy! Don't scare people like that!" His laugher erupted as people just stared. I walked down the steps and towards the male dressed as a ghost. I helped him up before slapping him.

"Sorry! Haha! I just... I just wanted to see your reaction!" He spoke while laughing loudly. I growled lightly before giving in and giggling. "Man! It's been years Isa!"

"Everyone! Meet Troy! An old friend that loves to play pranks!" I yelled to calm everyone down. Elijah walked over and Troy immediately hid behind me. "And I'm guessing you know him."

"Know him!? He tried to kill me!" Troy held onto my arms as he used me as a shield. Elijah glared at him while I let out a sigh. "Don't let him near me Isa!"

"Troy, meet my partner. Elijah, no killing the guy that owes me his life." They both apologised before looking at me. "Now, I wanna dance, Troy go mingle, make some friends!" I grabbed Elijah and dragged him to the dance floor.

Monster Mash started playing, I danced along with Elijah, laughing and smiling the entire time. Elena joined us, then Caroline, Tyler and Matt joined. Soon Bonnie, Rebekah, Niklaus, Kol, Damon, Jeremy and Troy joined. Not long after everyone joined in, all laughing, all smiling, all singing along.

It was a night we'd never forget and it ended just as happily as it started. Elijah and I kissed as Tyler's mother got a picture for us all to keep.

I sat on the roof of Elena's house with Elijah beside me. My head resting on his shoulder watching the stars and the moon in silence. Tonight, was perfect, everyone let loose, nobody died, everyone was happy. If life was as this night was, nobody would be upset, nobody would be dying of dangerous stuff, nobody would care what you are. Everyone would just be themself and be happy.

I wish this night lasted forever but nothing does. All we have are the memories of tonight, the joy and happiness we all shared, the laughs, the drinks, the snacks, the love. Nothing will take this memory from us, nothing but death itself.

"Honey, you've been silent since we sat here. You, okay?"

I looked up at him and smiled brightly. "Yeah. Tonight, was perfect, I just wanna savour it for a little longer."

And so we did, we savoured the night, the moments we won't ever forget.
