I woke up as I normally do, sweating and scared. Aunt Jenna turned a part of the garage into a room for me, I never needed much, just a bed, some books, a sketch pad and a dresser for my clothing. I brushed my hair and got changed before heading to the kitchen for breakfast.
"Good morning Izzy, how are you? Sleep well?" Jenna's voice was friendly and not mother-like at all. I sat down and smiled at her.
"Good morning Jenna. I'm good and yeah, slept great. Can't wait for school though, it's my first day back and I don't wanna blow it." Jenna placed a plate in front of me while Elena and Jermery are upstairs. I was always up before them.
I ate my breakfast and made myself some sushi for lunch. I put them into the lunch box and grab my bag. I made sure I had everything before going to the bathroom and brushing my teeth, putting on my necklace. It was a golden karp, my dad's. It was very important, it's the last thing of him I own. I miss him dearly.
"Izzy? You coming?" I snapped out my daze and walked after Elena. She was getting a ride from her friend Bonnie and offered me a ride with her. I accepted to try and make a friend here.
"So your Isabelle. Nice to meet you, I'm Bonnie." The girl had beautiful skin, black hair, and beautiful olive-green eyes. She extended her arm and I just looked at her. My shyness taking over me. Elena shook her head to Bonnie and she got in the car. I sat in the back while Elena sat up front with Bonnie. I paid no attention to their conversation, but something about Bonnie seemed off.
A crow hit the windshield and Bonnie swirved, I put the wind on our side so she never crashed. Once we got to the school Elena told me to be brave and if I need her to text. I nodded and walked off, I went to the main office and got my time table. I walked about the school and seen Elena go after Jeremy, she went into the boys' bathroom. Um... Odd, I'll ask at lunch.
I looked for my class and found it fairly quickly, it was easy. I walked in and introduced myself to the teacher before the bell rang. He told me what seat was open and I sat down and took out a notebook. The class was plain, it was history. Not like I've been old enough to see some of it. To everyone I'm an 18-year-old girl but reality I'm way older. I age slower due to my siren side, a siren usually takes years and years to die. I went to my next class with help from the teacher and the day went by slowly.
Home time came at last. Elena wanted to walk and be alone while Jeremy went with a girl. I walked alone in the town, only stopped when I seen an art store. I walked in and looked at the materials, paints and colours they have. I love drawing, it relaxes me, but lately my drawing has been of death instead of the ocean. I bought a few things, more sketch pads and colouring pencils. I walked out an headed home. No doubt I'll be alone, Jenna had to do something and Elena won't be home yet.
I sat on the couch and watched the tv, the news channel was on while I zoned out. I was drawing, a burned down building with a man standing at the door holding an axe. Blood drilling from it and on his clothing. I soon stopped drawing and just stared, remembering back to the night of hell.

"Mom?" I called into the quiet house, I left to go swimming alone. I walked quietly about the house until I heard a scream come from the kitchen. I ran and stopped at the door.
"Isabelle, run!" I was to scared to move, my mother held a knife in her hand but she had blood dripping from her neck. She put a hand out and the attacker flew back into the wall with a grunt.
"Now now, food is meant to be eaten, not played with." Soon the man had my mother in his grip, if only dad was here he'd be able to help.
"L-Let her go!" My voice was weak and barely intimidating at all. He just snapped my mother's neck and drank her blood, starting at me while he done so. He just laughed once he was done and took one step closer to me.
My fear took over and I ran, I didn't have a destination or a place to go. He caught up to me quickly, I never made it to anywhere far. Only to the fence before his arms wrapped around me tightly, making me squirm against him. "L-Let go!"
"Fighting isn't your style is it little troublemaker?" His voice scared me, he knew he wanted to kill me but he chose not to. He heard a noise behind us and turned around, me still moving trying to get out his grip.
"Klaus, let her go. We need her." A softer more gentle voice spoke. It still belonged to a man, he had his fangs extended. Fear made me do one thing, scream. A siren scream breaks windows and makes ears bleed. I was soon let go and I made a run for it-

"Isabelle!" I snapped out my thoughts to see a hand waving in my face.
"Huh? Oh sorry Elena. Zoned out again..." my voice was quiet but she heard me. I weakly smile at her as she sits down with me and taking the sketch pad and placing it on the table.
Elena spent the day trying to make sure I relaxed so I could go back to school again the next day.
