Chapter 12

I was hit awake by a pillow. I moved to the garage and changed before leaving. I wasn't hungry, I walked about the town until I just suddenly passed out but I never hit the floor, I felt soft hand catch me.

"Dad! Help! I fell and my foot is stuck under a root! I can't get free! It hurts!" I heard a noise and looked up, a man with a very well kept posture and hair was standing a few feet away from me. "Um excuse me but can you help? My dad and I were on a hike and he left somewhere and this happened. I am quite clumsy..."

"Of course, we're you the little lady I saw swimming in the ocean?" He walked over and crouched beside me and started trying to get the root untangled from my foot. I nodded while taking in his features. Strong jaw bone, brown hair that looks black in some light and brown eyes. He stopped what he was doing and looked at me. "How could you hold your breath that long?"

"It's a gift my family has sir." I looked at the roots and felt them get tighter. "Ah! They tightened somehow! Ow! Please, get it off!" Tears brimmed my eyes, ready to fall.

I felt his gentle hands cup my small cheeks and wiped away the tears befor rolling up his sleeves and going back to the roots.

"Roots don't just tighten my dear, something must have caused them to. Now, you might feel some pain." I watched what he done. He tore the root in half like it was nothing. "Any pain, a sprained ancle?"

"No pain. Thank you sir!" He helped me up and I gave him a hug, I looked like a 8 year old while he looked to be in his 20s. "Your really strong!" I smiled as he picked me up and put me on a rock before looking into my eyes.

"What are you?" I tilted my head and he stepped back. I hear my dad yell and run forward toward him but I raised my hand and made him fly into a tree.

"Dad, no! He helped me, he is nice, you don't have to attack." I jumped down from the rock and ran over to the man and stood in front of him.

I heard him let out a small chuckle before talking. "I'm sorry if I gave off a dangerous vibe to you but I was only helping your child. She was stuck under a root."

My dad growled before looking at the root. "What have I said about watching where you go?" I looked down and mumbled the answer. "Louder pumpkin, your not a clownfish asking for help."

"Always watch where you go, if you see something you can trip over, avoid it. If a human see you turn, we compel them to forget."

"Better. Now apologise for ruining the nice man's clothes and we can leave." I nodded and apologised to the man.

"It's alright, it will clean out. What did you mean by turn?" My father sighed before pulking me to his side.

"I guess, I can trust you. You did help my daughter without knowing her, we are sirens, we go swimming a lot that is why you saw her in the water holding her breath longer than a human." My dad ruffled my hair as the man spoke politley after my father.

"Vampires and sirens don't get along, how is it I don't want to harm you two?" I was pulled behind my father as he raised his arm. I pushed my dad to the side and walked forwards.

"Because you helped me. You maybe a vampire but you have a kind soul." I took his hand before smiling up at him. "And a kind soul is rewarded!"

He looked at me confused until my father sat down and grabbed leaves and handed me them. I turned the leaves into a forest jem and handed it to the male in front of me. He took it and said a thank you before leaving.

Me and my dad went home and stayed inside longer than we have in a while more than a month. No school, being taught at home all my life so this was no different. The thought of that man stayed in my mind. A vampire who was kind enough to save a hybrid.

I woke up in a motel room with two beds. Elena was at the door and the vampire was getting something from a fridge. Elena escaped but got pushed back in by a girl, the same girl from the school. I got up quickly and watched them talk before the girl threw her into the bathroom. I focused on Elena's voice and heard her say Bonnie.

I got pinned by the girl but I just smirked before kneeing her in the gut and threw her out the window.

"Aw, vampire not get told I'm stronger?" I smiled as the male ran at me only to miss and I snapped their arm.

I heard water and two people talking. Elena and Bonnie. The male barged in and pushed Elena out. I was pulled into the bathroom and the door got closed.

"For snapping my arm..." I felt him grab my arm and snap it backwards, Bonnie screamed while he let me go. I fell to the ground before feeling water go on my face. "Is the siren missing the water?"

I pulled myself up and punched him with my other arm and turned off the shower. My fins showed but dried quickly. He went to hit me but I pushed him back and grabbed a towel. I walked over and placed it on his arm and snapped it back into place.

"I may be heartless to you asshole, but I am still a caring friend. You harm, Elena or Bonnie, I will kill you." I walked out and got hit in the face by the female vampire. "One, ow! And two, I know you heard me. Same thing applies to you."

I walked to the bed as the girl left and the guy brought Bonnie out. Elena asked for a drink so the guy walked up, fangs showing until I raised the chair and dropped it with magic. He said it was on the nightstand so Elena took it and Bonnie asked for a sip. They both had a plan, good. She poured it on his arm and turned it to fire. She got out but Elena was grabbed so I forced my teeth to go sharp and bit his arm.

"RUN! DO NOT LOOK BACK!" Elena looked at me, worried but Bonnie dragged her out and ran away. I protected them, good.

I was thrown into a wall and soon pinned. My other arm got snapped while I was just lying there he punched the hell out of me. I passed out from the pain.

When I woke up, my arms were back to normal but I was bruised like hell. Stefan barged through the door and I could see Elena and Bonnie with them. The guy screamed before running for cover, I guess he had no enchanted ring to be able to walk in the light. Stefan walked over to me and I let out a weak smile as he picked me up gently. He walked out and to a car. Elena got in the front while Bonnie got in the back, Stefan sat me next to her before getting in the driverseat and driving off.

"What did he do to you?" Stefan's voice was soft like he was talking to Elena but it was towards me.

"He broke my arms and punched me until I passed out from the pain. I have more bruises and a new bite mark than I remember being hit. I'm fine, I will heal and when I do this Katherine bitch is dead meat." My voice was hoarse, weak and sore.

I looked out the window to see Stefan stop at Bonnie's. We all got out and walked in, Stefan was invited so he didn't need to worry. I was put on the couch while they all talked. The plan was the mortals stay here, witches included. Elena made a point though, Damon won't stop until he has Katherine. Bennett witches had to help so they made a new plan.

Join Damon in getting Katherine. Elena left, Bonnie tended to my wounds and Bonnie's grandmother seemed to remember me from the past so we told the tale of us.
