Chapter 56

"Isabelle!?"

"WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER!?"

"No, No! We lost Alaric we can't lose her!"

"Izzy..."

"You monsters!"

I heard a lot of people talking, Damon, Stefan, Elena, Jeremy and Bonnie. I moved before sitting up remembering what happened. A sigh left my mouth as I felt hot fresh tears slip from my eyes. I heard running and felt gusts of wind before feeling everyone's presence near me.

"Love?" I looked past then and seen Elijah, his suit torn and dirty. I looked to the people near me before noticing Damon's and Stefan's clothes also dirty and torn.

I got up and oushed past them before going to Elijah and hugging him. "It worked... I'm alive." I smiled at him before kissing the corner of his lips. His arms snaked around my waist as he held me close. "Who tore your suit?"

"Damon and Stefan but they thought you died. It was reasonable." Elijah smiled at me before squeezing me and letting me go.

Elena grabbed my arm before spinning me around tonlook at her. "What happened to you? Rebekah called said you went crazy and lost it before passing out."

"It's a long story Elena. Just know, I killed someone with complete darkness before passing out and waking up just moments ago. Sorry to worry you all." I smiled brightly before hugging her. "Your a vampire, aren't you?"

"Yes..." She sounded sad. I lifted her chin before smiling into her eyes. "I..."

"Your a vampire because you chose to save someone else aren't you?" She nodded before feeling my arms squeeze her. "Guess what? Now your immortal, you can save everyone!"

We both giggled before seperating. Rebekah walked over and handed my veil over. "Wedding tomorrow so everyone out." I rolled my eyes before looking to Elijah.

"I didn't want to lose you again. We'll get married then we can do any crazy thing you want to." I pouted before fake being sad. "Isabelle-"

I giggled before stepping away and placing on the veil. "Go have your party, I'm gonna nap!"

"No your not, you are having a party too." I looked to Caroline before shaking my head no. "Yes!" She grabbed my arm and dragged me away, the girls following while the guys stayed put.

She covered my eyes as we walked into a building, once she removed her hands I seen decorations, confetti falling, cake on the table and blood bags. How did she put it all together? She didn't. She had this set up for a Klaus is gone party but it wasn't used. I sat at the couch with the girls and talked for hours before eating, dancing, drinking and just being stupid.

I woke up the next morning, showered, brushed my teeth and changed into a sporty outfit. I went for a walk and enjoyed the sun before going back to Caroline's when the wedding is a few hours away before driving to the church with everything.

I got changed into my dress, my hair got styled, my make-up got done and I slipped on the heels. I placed the veil on before looking in the mirror. I smiled sadly before spinning. My dad was going to give me away... I looked down before hearing a knock.

"Elena!" It was Jeremy. She walked out but we could hear the converstaion. "Elijah asked if we could give her away. It was Alaric then her dad and now she has nobody. We're her last family, me you and Bonnie. He wants us to so she's smiling."

"Of course, now go get changed and shower. We'll be done soon." I smiled at the thought of Elena and Jeremy and Bonniw giving me away. Elena walked in and looked at me. "Your not being sad today."

"Thank you Elena."

"Your family, it's what we do."

The girls left me in my room to take their seats and do final touches to the church. I sat in the couch and felt this sinking feeling in my heart, like something bad was going to happen. I pushed it away before walking to the door as I heard the music.

I walked out and along the halls before standing in front of the door. The doors swung open and I walked down with Elena on my right and Jeremy on my left while Bonnie walked behind me making the rose pedals float. I seen Elijah in his suit, he looked so handsome. I stood next to him as the ceremony started.

"You have written your own vows?" I nodded while Elijah smiled. Elijah spoke first, saying how he'd never dream a day so beautiful could have more beauty in it. How he always felt like a monster until I came into his life. "Isabelle?"

"The sun has the moon as it's polar opposite but without either we wouldn't have the day or night. During the day we go about our life like nothing is wrong but during the night our problems spike and cause us to spiral. Elijah, with you nothing is normal. My days turn longer than the sun is out, my life has adventure, meaning, laughter and love. My nights are no longer cold, loney or dark, their warm and fuzzy. I couldn't imagine a life without you now that your in mine, I don't ever want to be apart again." I placed the ring on his finger as he smiled softly at me.

"You may kiss the bride-"

"Stop!" We looked to the doors to see vampires I had helped in the past. "That man, that man will kill you!"

Elijah's soft grip got stronger as he held my hand. I looked to the vampires before closing my eyes. "Troy, take your friends and sit your asses down!" My eyes flew open as I shouted 'down'. They sat and shut up before Troy walked down the aisle. "Troy."

"Isabelle, Elijah has tried to kill us in the past."

"I know but I save you and I'm happy now. He won't harm you again, trust me."

"...fine." Troy sat down and folded his arms as me and Elijah turned around and continued the wedding.

We kissed as the bells rang out, everyone cheered but something still felt wrong. We left the church and got to the car. Elijah was a gentleman and opened the car door for me to climb in before going to his side.

He drove us out of Mystic falls and towards our new life as a married couple. I looked out the window as cars passed by.

"I feel like something bad is going to happen."

"What do you mean, sweetheart?"

"I don't know I just have that feeling..."
