Chapter 7

I woke up to Jeremy moving the blanket over me. I looked up at him tiredly before he just said shhhhh and left the room. I cuddled into his pillow before falling back to sleep. I was sleeping for a whole few hours before Jenna woke me up.

I got up and walked downstairs to see Jeremy grabbing one of my burgers. I ran over and hugged him before stealing it off him and ran to the other side of the kitchen.

"Izz! Come on! It's the last one, please?" He walked over to me and I handed it back to him before thanking him for letting me sleep on his bed.

"So school today or none?" I looked to Jenna and she said none. I grabbed some salmon and cooked it for breakfast before changing into a long purple dress with a black cardigan before putting on heels. "Jenna!"

I walked out the garage and I was alone in the house. They all left me, their probably busy. I walked out the house and about the town, keeping to myself and looking for a place I can swim. I need to be a siren for a bit, it brings me back to times with my father. I seen Jenna go past with Elena and Jeremy, probably going home.

I went to the Salvatore house and knocked. Maybe Stefan can help me find a calming place. A lady opened the door, blond hair in a braid, posture of sassy but loveable and her eyes, wow. She was gorgeous. I was stunned for words.

"Are you looking for Stefan?" Her voiced matched how she looked, angelic. I nodded before she shouted his name. He walked over and told the lady he'll be right back in before walking out and closing the door.

"Isabelle, what are you doing here?" He sounded like he didn't want me at the house, was it because if the lady.

"I want to be a siren for a bit, please can you help me?" I heard the door open quickly and soon I was pinned by the angel lady. I was stunned, she was a vampire and she was ontop of me.

"Siren! Stefan, they hate us! Why are you talking to one!?" She was pissed, her hair was down and her fangs were clear as day.

"I...I'm a nice one! I'm not like the others! Please let me go, you'll ruin your pretty outfit on the ground and if I use my wind your beautiful hair will get messed up..." Stefan laughed before helping the lady off me and helping me up.

"Lexi, she is Elena's cousin. She is part siren and witch, she can't harm a fly unless the fly is called Damon." He smiled before looking to me and motioned in a direction. "A lake that way, it's left alone if you follow it down stream you will be ok."

"Thank you Stefan and nice to meet you Lexi. If you need a spell or anything at the bottom of water, ask." I walked away and went in the direction Stefan said.

I followed the river and it led me to the ocean, the view was beautiful. I took my cardigan, my dress and heels off before going into the ocean. I felt my body change, my legs moved together as my tail formed, gills formed on my neck while webbing formed on my hands. Lastly my ears turned to siren fins and I swam about.  I thought back to when my father was with me.

"ISABELLE CROW DON'T GO TOO FAR!"

"Sorry dad!" I swam back to the area I was allowed in and saw my father's black fins and tail moved past me before hitting my back making me move fast in the water. "AH DAD!"

We both laughed and we swam about looking at the fish. We swam for hours and hid from people. It was so fun until I felt like I was being watched. I swam up to look around and saw a shadow of a man staring at me. I stared back, curious I started swimming closer to the land. My father grabbed my arm and pulled me back before raising his hand and the shadow ran away. I asked what it was about but dad refused to say.

We went home and he talked to mum for hours before I left to my room. I couldn't hear them so I tried to sleep but the thought of being watched by something that could run fast, scared me. Maybe it was a deer and I imagined it as a man. Soon sleep took over and I dreampt of swimming along with sharks.

I got out the ocean and dried off quickly before putting my clothing on. I left the area and went to the place I thought Elena would be, home. She wasn't. I left the house and walked around for a while. Night had fell so walking out late put me on edge. I tried to call Elena but got no answer.

I started to worry until I bumped into someone. I apologised and continued walking, I felt their eyes on me before hearing a sound of wind being pushed, running. The person I bumped into was a vampire, could it have been Damon?

I seen the Mystic Grill was open, music blaring through the doors. I walked in and to the bar where I bought a drink before seeing Elena, Stefan and Lexi. She was ok, good. I looked around and seen Caroline with Matt, that was odd. Matt was taking her out the Grill by carrying her, she's drunk. I looked at the end of the bar and seen Damon and Lexi talking. I downed my drink before looking around. I saw the police and a girl, she pointed over to Damon and Lexi. I heard the chief thank Damon for the vervain before taking Lexi out the bar.

Nobody was allowed to leave, I ran to Damon but he left before I could grab him. I left after Stefan and Elena and saw Damon stab Lexi with a stake before checking the cop. I tapped Stefan before nodding to inside. I walked inside and to Damon. I grabbed his arm tightly before I knew it I was outside with him pinning me to a wall. What is it with vampires and pinning me!?

"Isabelle, don't get involved-"

"You killed Lexi." I was mad but due to alcohol and the position I blushed.

"Isabelle. Please, don't." I moved to hug him before letting out a weak ok. "That's a good girl."

"Don't call me that, and I think that bartender gave me a stronger drink than I asked..." I just stayed hugging him, I felt him pick me up and then wind then soft blankets. I looked around, I was on a bed and it was very comfy.

"Rest, I'm going to have another drink." He walked away from me and out the room.

I just cuddled into a spare pillow and let sleep take over. Just before I was fully asleep I heard Damon in pain and I rolled out of bed before making my way down the stairs and over to him. He was bleeding, panic set in amd I placed my hand over the would and asked who done this.

"Stefan, for killing Lexi. Shouldn't you be sleeping?" He got up with difficulty, I helped him up and to his room.

I dragged him to the bathroom so I could clean his wound, he could heal quickly but that didn't stop me from trying to clean and bandage it. He tried to push me away but I held his hand and told him to let it happen.

After he was bandaged I helped him to his bed and he grabbed me and pulled me down so I was sitting on his hip. I moved off his hip onto the space beside him and sat on my knees.

"Damon, your injured. You need to reat." He grabbed my arm and pulled me down before saying I needed to rest.

I could hear his heart, although it was slow and barely visable it was soothing. I cuddled into him as I felt an arm around my waist and a head on mine. I fell asleep quite fast and drempt of nothing but swimming in the ocean, no nightmare, finally a peaceful sleep.
