Me and Elijah have been looking and planning for days, we both agreed to get married as soon as possible so if something happens, we will have each other, always, even in death.

I was looking a dress while he was planning the wedding. He didn't want me to stress but he does ask for my input here and there. I stopped looking at dresses before sighing softly.

"Everything okay?" I looked to my left to see the store worker looking at me worried. I put a dress back before smiling to them.

"Yeah, just... I don't know what one to pick, their all pretty!" I seen her pick up one and hold it out to me. I took it from her hand and checked in the mirror. "Any old-fashioned ones?" I handed the dress back before looking at the others the store had.

"Hm, sure!" She walked off before coming back with a wedding dress that will cling to my body, had a viking pattern on the bodice and had a beautiful trail of fluff. I took it from her and tried it on in the changing room before walking out to them. "Oh my! Beautiful!"

I walked to the mirror and looked at myself. I loved it. The lady placed a beautiful floral veil on my head making me smile. "I love it... this is the dress for me. Do you have heels that go with it?"

"Yes, right here." She went and got them. "Will these fit?" I looked at the size and nodded before putting them on, the dress, heels, veil, everything was perfect.

"Love, I need your..." I turned around and seen Elijah just staring at me. "I uhh..."

"So, this is the lucky man? You know it's bad luck to see the bride in her wedding dress." She joked but Elijah turned around and cleared his throat.

"Looks lovely, Isabelle. I just need your help on flowers." He kept refusing to look at me. I walked over and peered over his shoulder at the flowers he picked.

"The blue and white or white and purple. Oh, blue and purple!" He nodded as I kissed his cheek. "See you later, darling~"

"See you later, love." I watched as he left before changing out the wedding clothes and into my normal one. I bought the clothing and thanked the lady for her help.

I walked out the store with the bag that held my wedding things. I walked to where Elijah would be and helped him plan things. I looked over his shoulder and helped pick things before getting him some food.

I felt my phone ring in my pocket. I brought it out and answered. "Hello, Isabelle speaking."

"Isabelle! Esther is back!" I dropped my bag after hearing Caroline's words. Elijah looked at me, he went to speak but I was already gone.

"I'm on my way Caroline! I'll be there soon!" I hung up and ran faster to Mystic Falls. I felt my rage build up as I passed the sign of the town.

I came to a halt at the school, stopping just outside the salt barrier. Damon told me where Elena was and I sped off again. I leaped into a tree and seen Elena and Jeremy and Matt with Esther. I jumped between Matt and Jeremy as she made them point their weapons at each other.

"ESTHER!" She looked at me before feeling something off. "Hi." I seen Alaric and ran to him before making him hit a wall. I tackled Esther as her magic stopped. I pushed my hand through her chest and heart before squeezing it to cause her immense pain. "DON'T FUCKING HURT MY DAMN FAMILY!"

I got up as everyone went into the grave building, I heard Klaus behind me as his mother was in agony. I looked to him before lowering my hand.

He went to speak but I cut him off. "Nope. You don't get to speak fucker. Take your mother and leave or I swear to god I will do the same to you, even if it means I won't see my wedding day." He just stared at me in shock.

"Wedding?" He picked up his mother as he spoke. I showed the diamond ring Elijah bought me before walking off. "When and where?"

"When is none if your business! Where is in fuck you land!" I sped off and went back to Elijah. I washed my hands and sat on our couch before sighing to myself.

"Love?" I grabbed a pillow and hugged it close before stifling a sob. "Isabelle." He sped close to me before hugging me and holding me close. "What's wrong?"

"Alaric... he's gone..." I held onto him as I started to cry my heart out. "My father figure... my only human I loved to death for taking care of me. Gone thanks to your mother." I moved away from him before throwing the pillow at the wall and screaming the pain in my heart out. "He was going to be a vampire... he wasn't going to translation. I'm losing him!" I gripped the couch tightly as tears fell like a waterfall.

"...I'm so sorry my dear." He held me closer to him once more and let me cry out. He didn't realize I had gone silent after a while or that I was hungry. All he wanted to do was comfort me and care for me like any partner would. "Would you like me to get you food while you go get comfy in the bed?"

I nodded as he let me go. I got up and walked to our room before lying on the bed and cuddling into the pillow curling myself into a ball. After a while, Elijah walked in and gave me packets of blood, put flowers by the bed and put my favourite show on the tv. I felt him sit beside me so I let go of the pillow and cuddled into him instead.

We drank blood, some alcohol, watched movies and cuddled the rest if the night. He showed how much he wanted me to feel better, he put the wedding on hold until I felt like me again. He done everything to cheer me up but I wasn't going to smile. The man that taught me, the man that made me laugh, smile and cry, the man that I seen as a father... I wasn't going to see again.

I didn't want to be happy, I wanted to feel the pain, the sadness, the torture. Vampires can turn their humanity off; I was tempted but I needed to grieve Alaric. I couldn't just do what Damon done or Stefan. I had to cry, scream, break down and do it again and again until I felt better.

Elijah called Kol, told him how I was and asked to come over, he even tried cheering me up. Nothing worked. Kol and Elijah were starting to see the toll it was taking on me. After a few days I wasn't eating, I wasn't doing much just lying on the bed crying. Elijah even tried to get me to eat, Kol would drop the blood onto my lips but I'd spit it on the floor or on him. I felt like my humanity was gone but I still felt things...

I was just numb.
