Chapter 21
"She deserves a rest. And she'll never return to that place--"
I rubbed my head because of the pain. Gradually, my vision became clearer from my blurred vision.
"Solana! Thank God you're awake," my Mom said. I tried to open my eyes properly. Nilibot ko ang tingin sa paligid ko.
"My daughter... You're finally awake." My Dad, he's here. Then I saw him walking towards me, with tears in his eyes.
"Dad..." I cried. And now, I'm finally home again.
"How do you feel, Solana? Is there something hurt? Tell me, anak."
Naluluha akong umiling at malungkot na ngumiti sa kaniya.
"Do you need anything, Solana?" tanong naman ni Mommy. I just shook my head.
"Oh my gosh! Is this real? S-Solana!
"Don't give her stress, Pix," suway nj Nixon sa kaniya.
All I can do is just smile and nod at them. I feel drained. I feel exhausted at everything. I can see from them that they feel sorry. They're guilty about something. Tita Cora couldn't even look at me.
"B-Baka may iba ka pang gusto, just tell us." Tita Christy said.
"What my daughter needs now is rest," Dad said, who's not taking his gaze away from me.
"R-Right. She needs a rest. We'll hope for your fully recovered, Sol. I think we'll leave now. We'll visit you again kapag okay na. Pupuntahan muna namin si Mommy," Tita Gina said.
"L-Lola Aurora. How is she? Mabuti na ba ang lagay ni Lola?" I asked.
Mom nodded. "Yes. Nagising na siya kahapon lang. So don't worry. Kailangan niya lang ng pahinga." I nodded at her.
"Does she know about what happened?" I asked.
"No. She still doesn't know about what happened to you. It'll stress her."
I sighed. It's good that she doesn't know.
Then a doctor came to check on me. Tahimik lang ako na nakikinig sa kanila.
"She's not fully recovered yet. But her condition is better now than before, Mr. Martinez."
Dad nodded at him. "Okay. I'm glad she's better now."
"We'll check on her again later. Please excuse us."
"Thank you. You can leave now," Mom replied.
"You want food?" Napalingon ako kay Zach na nagtanong. I want to eat but I have no appetite.
I shook my head. "No, thank you. I have no appetite. I want water."
"Solana. May masakit pa ba sayo?" Nag-aalala na tanong ni Mommy.
