"Where have you been?" Acel asked me as I entered the house.

I sighed. "I can't. Dad has a connection there. He'll think that I'll go there if I'm missing. You see, Zach called you."

I sighed. "Thank you. I'll rest now. You can stay here if you want. I'll just rest. I'm tired."

Bumuntonghininga ako at tumungo sa Veranda. Mula rito ay tanaw ko ang lake. Umupo ako sa upuan at inilapag ang tea sa pabilog na lamesa. Kinuha ko ang phone at tinignan ang date.
Today is Dana's birthday. I just hope she's having fun in her day.
Mula kong pinagmasdan ang phone kong nasa lamesa. I tilted my head and thought of whether I should greet her a happy birthday or not. Maybe I should. She's a good friend after all.
Inabot ko ang aking phone at nilagay ang numero niya para matawagan. It keeps ringing but she didn't answer. Pang-limang tawag ko ko na ngunit wala pa.
"This will be my last call," I whispered to myself. Sa pang-anim na tawag ay doon na siya sumagot.
I heard a deep sighed. "Hello? Who's this?" anito. Sa boses nito ay dinig ang pagod at hingal.
"Hello? I said who's this? You're wasting my time. I have more importans things to do."
