Well...that escalated quickly...

so I had DI yesterday (TWO MORE PRACTICES TILL GLOBALS 😝) and here's how its basically been since day 1: BESH against NKL. I don't wanna be mea, because I love my team like sisters, but yesterday I was just so done with it. I'm done with our team being separated because BESH had been on a team together before and NKL was coming from Northampton, a totally different elementary than Metzler. And Kayla (B) and i had noticed some of BESH not even paying attention, playing or doing something on their phones. And Elisa had an (no joke) AMAZING idea for our project puzzle (cause we're changing it) and she was totally on board with it. Yet BESH went to the bathroom (NKL went to a different one) and came back with Elisa not wanting to do HER OWN IDEA. I don't know what they said or what they did, but I'm kinda thinking that they convinced her to get on board with them (and they didn't wanna change the puzzle, even though we got the MOST pints taken off for that.)

and DI is supposed to be about teamwork. Yet here's a "compromise" that a fellow team member made (hint the quotations) : "if we don't change the puzzle, ill LET you keep the viola." I LITERALLY JUST WANTED TO PULL MY HAIR OUT AND STORM AWAY. but it took everything in me not to. I really dont wanna be mean because I love my team but there's a dividing line between us and just because there's one more of them doesn't mean that NKL's opinions don't matter. And another thing that doesn't seem like teamwork to me: "majority rules." I know that's how it works in life, yet not in DI. Maybe for small decisions that your team makes, but when its as big as changing the puzzle, everyone has a say in it, and just because there's on e more of them, does not mean "majority rules." That's just not teamwork to me. And this actually means alot o me, its my second year in DI and my first year going to Globals, (Nalani's first year in DI overall) and we want it to be rememberable, not arguing the whole time. I wanna have fun at practice, not be divided based on what elementary school we went to, or if we've been on a team together before or not. BESH has been on a team together before. NKL hasn't. Kayla (B) went to Globals last year, and i believe BES (not H) did too. NL didn't do DI last year. But just because we've all been in DI different years, doesn't make our team any less of an actual team. I love my team and i hate that we seem divided. It was like that for hotel rooms at State: BESH/NKL. And isn't it funny that they're letters are FIRST and NKL's are LAST? I tried so hard to keep from crying yesterday during practice, and luckily I didn't burst out in tears and storm away. That wouldn't be very friendly. But I believe that we're all just stressed out so much that we've grown apart and we just wanna get to Globals that we'd hop on a plane right now. But we still need to raise ALOT of money. But we do have some really great fundraisers going on, on and off campus. My mom is checking with my former principle (of Northampton ) which is actually her boss, to see if the teachers there could pitch in and help raise money for them to have a jean day. Teachers sure do love jeans 👖 days. 😆 but anyways. We're having NINE fundraisers going on at once. Seriously. That's the EXACT number, no joke. I really hope that we raise enough money for Dollywood (even though Nalani and i will be staying on the GROUND #groundbuddies) horse back riding and IC workshops. I have my duct tape costume finished, and actually I just need to fix the skirt but I will when I put it on, and make the belt. Maybe make the mask a bit smaller, but other than that I'm pretty much done. Anyways...thats my rant. Again, I really do live my team like sisters, but sometimes they get on my nerves and kinda stress me out. I hate being stressed, cause I do stupid things when I'm stressed. I hope you all have amazing days and learn useless crap in school byyeee (you can PM or comment if you have any questions btw)
