So today in English, we were reading a poem called "Grass" and it had a really deep meaning that my table just didn't get so we made our own conclusion:
basically the poem repeated "Pile them high" and listed many famous battles in history, and had 3 voices.
So the first voice represents us. Our generation.
The second is "grass" which represents society.
the third is the generation that birthed us and is now confused about what is happening in our world.
Basically the "grass" is covering everything up in our world, even dead decaying bodies from battles. Like society tries to cover up our generation and tries to make us be something we're not. Grass is covering our voice, and changing us to be something different from who we are. While all of this is happening, our parents are sitting there clueless like "Why are you dressing differently?" "have you lost a few pounds?" "why are you changing yourself?" and grass is still covering us up. It's covering us up, even the memories of others and the way we want to feel. It has a mind of it's own and cannot be controlled. So while the grass is eating us all up, our parents don't have a clue.
okay sorry if that was too deep for you...the actual conversation broke me like a tumblr post that makes you rethink your life. It was too deep.
that's all folks!
stay beautiful my weirdos.
