so stereotypes are a huge problem in this modern society. People telling us who to be, who not to be. It's just not fair on any level. No matter how deep you go into the heart of society (if it has one) there will never once be something that implies or says that labels are wrong.
But they really are.
And we as the new generation have a chance to do something about this messed up world. We can use our power to help stop labels and making people feel like they need to change to fit someone else's description of what someone's supposed to be. Society may not realize what it's doing to people, but our generation sure does. It makes us feel like we're not good enough and that we dont have what it takes in us to be what others want us to be. It seems like we need to please others, yet we really only need to please ourselves. We need to step up and label ourselves. Yet quite honestly, the only label you really should wear is your name.
I am aware that some of us aren't effected by these labels publicly, yet someone labels you, even if you have no clue about it. Someone out there judges you and labels you as they see you, not as they know you. Honestly no one really knows why labels appear on us, they just do. It could be because the labeler feels insecure about themself or has a hard time at home and needs to relieve some stress. Anyway you put it, it still leads to labels. And labeling isn't okay.
Don't ever let anyone label you for someone you're not. Let them label you for who you are, and if they get it wrong, shake it off and label yourself the way you see you. Because the only opinion that really matters in this situation is yours. No one else's. Speak up for yourself. You've gotta fight for who you are and all you're gonna do. You will do great things, and everyone else will, too. These labels just lead up to that moment when everything suddenly changes.
Don't label others just because you're not too fond of them. Or just because you feel like it. Because they may just believe you and try to change their self to fit your definition of who they're supposed to be. You are your own person, and your name is the only label you wear.
