Jennie

"Deep breaths Jennie girl, wouldn't want to give away our secret." Lisa whispered against her ear, causing her eyes to close briefly as her warm breath danced around her ear and down the side of her neck. Following Lisa's instructions, she focused on her breathing and slowed it down to a normal pace, hoping to conceal the excitement and arousal she felt for the gorgeous person standing behind her.

They stood that way for the duration of the auction, exchanging flirty glances and light touches until the lights came on and they were forced to create some space between them. It was safe to say that Jennie was hooked, drunk on Lisa's touch to the point where her thoughts were fuzzy and muddled as the people around them started to move again. Her joyful infatuation was short lived as a familiar face surfaced in her peripheral vision and was heading straight for them.

Damn it Kai. Why can't you just go away and stay away?

Lisa clocked Kai's movement instantly and wrapped her arm around Jennie's waist, sweeping Jennie behind her with an unamused gaze that was fixated on the pathetic man who was fast approaching. Jennie squeezed Lisa's arm as a gesture of gratitude, but side stepped her and looked up at Lisa as she flattened her palm against her bicep, signalling that she was okay and could handle Kai.

Lisa's brows drew together in protest, but she reluctantly conceded, keeping her chest completely flush with Jennie's back.

"You look much better when you're sober." Kai said with a smug look on his face.

What a fucking asshole. How the hell did I even bother to date this limp ass dick and sorry excuse of a man?

"What a funny thing to say, because I was just thinking the opposite about you." Jennie sneered.

Kai ran his hand through his hair, trying to control his anger at her comment, letting out an irritated laugh in the process. "That mouth." Kai hissed. "What do you want Kai?" she said, tired of hearing the sound of his voice. "I just want to talk." Kai said, softening his tone. "Well I don't. How many times do I have to tell you it's over before you actually take the hint? I'm. Not. Interested." Jennie broke the words up and spoke slowly to make sure that Kai understood.

"I don't appreciate you acting like such a bitch toward me in public." Lisa shifted behind Jennie at Kai's words.

Easy there Lisa. I got this. Kai's just a loser who is easy to handle.

Jennie flattened her palm against Lisa's arm as she moved to step around Jennie, which stalled her movement, but she could practically feel Lisa's anger radiating off of her. Kai locked eyes with Jennie's hand that was resting on Lisa's arm and narrowed his eyes before bringing them up to meet hers. "Is that what this is? You don't want to be with me because you're fucking your bodyguard?" Kai hissed at her. "Alright that's enough," Lisa growled, ignoring Jennie's signals and taking a step in front of her. "Wow. I didn't take you for the type Jennie," Kai chuckled.

"This conversation is over. Walk away." Lisa said in a low menacing tone. "My conversation with Jennie is over when I say it's over." Kai countered, looking up at Lisa.

Bad move Kai. Lisa could easily put you on your ass.

Jennie watched Lisa lower her stance so that she was eye level with Kai and only a few inches from his face. "Walk... the fuck... away." Lisa said in a deep threatening voice that was meant to be obeyed. Kai took a few fearful steps back at Lisa's intrusion into his personal space. "You might want to muzzle your dog, Jennie."

Oh hell no. Absolutely not. I'm not going to stand for this asshole talking smack about Lisa.

Jennie emerged from behind Lisa, with fire in her veins at Kai's insult. She charged forward with angry steps and pointed her finger in Kai's face. "Don't you dare speak to her that way!" she hissed up at Kai. "I left you because you are an asshole who only used me to try and further your career. You are selfish, You're a cheater and you're a bad lay." Jennie was fuming as she delivered her toxic words

"You're really going to stand here and insult me like that?" Kai seethed.

"I'm not insulting you. I'm describing you," Jennie snarled.

"And you think your bodyguard here is better?" Kai scoffed, eyeing Lisa up and down.

Fuck you Kai. You can talk shit to me all you want - I'm used to it quite frankly, but you will not insult Lisa. I won't allow it.

Jennie took a few steps backwards until she was directly in front of Lisa and squared her shoulders at Kai. She knew that Kai's words hadn't hurt Lisa in the least but they had set a fire within Jennie who suddenly felt a deep need to protect and take care of Lisa's heart.

"Better? Do I think she's better? Better doesn't even begin to describe the comparison between you two. She's twice the person you are in more ways than one, with ten times the integrity. This person has served her country and you can't even serve yourself an appetiser. So do I think she's better than you? - Absolutely." Jennie was shaking with anger and glaring at Kai with every hateful cell in her body as she stood in front of Lisa. Kai didn't say another word, but let out a loud huff of frustration before he turned on his heel and stormed away.

With her hands still shaking Jennie's lungs were hungry for air as she took angry breaths, trying to control the furious tears that were starting to build. "Breathe Jennie." Lisa whispered in her ear. "Can you get me out of here for a few minutes?" she asked over her shoulder. "Yes ma'am." Lisa said into her ear as she grasped Jennie's hand firmly and turned to lead her away.

She followed Lisa down the hall and the longer she walked with her hand in Lisa's, the more calm she became. She was so focused on calming herself and the incredible feeling of her hand in Lisa's that she hadn't noticed where Lisa was taking her. She led Jennie into a small room that was being used as a coat closet and locked the door behind them.

What are we doing in here? I kind of assumed she'd take me outside for some fresh air.

Before she could react, Lisa took a strong step towards her and threaded her fingers into Jennie's long dark hair behind her head as she took hold of Jennie's face and pulled it toward hers. Lisa's lips crashed into Jennie's with so much force it made her knees weak and stole her breath as Lisa walked them backwards until she had Jennie pinned against the wall. Lisa's kisses were desperate and powerful and she felt her body completely melt against Lisa's, feeling and loving the way Lisa seemed to have lost a little bit of her self-control.

Pulling away slowly, Lisa cupped Jennie's face and looked into her eyes, flashing her the most delicious smile she'd ever seen. "No woman has ever stood up for me the way you just did Jennie. Not ever." Lisa said, holding her gaze.

"No one should ever talk to you that way Lisa, and if I have the ability to stop it I will because I..." her words trailed off as she searched for the right thing to say. "Because you what, Jennie?" she asked, planting her forearm against the wall as she towered over Jennie, hovering her lips just a few centimetres above hers.

"Because I... I feel..." She could barely concentrate with Lisa's lips practically touching hers and struggled to find any words in her brain. "I don't know how to explain it." Jennie finally said against Lisa's lips. "That's okay sweetheart, but whatever it is... I feel the exact same way."

Lisa pressed her lips into Jennie's again with so much force and passion that they bumped against the wall, but Jennie didn't care. She loved Lisa's powerful arms that held her in place and manipulated her head to give Lisa the perfect angle to take her mouth with hers. Lisa was the perfect mixture of strong and gentle and Jennie was addicted. Lisa was everything all at once and she couldn't get enough.
