Jennie
Jennie had spent the day at Knight Security, working on a few things for Eric to keep her mind busy after the eventful night the team had just experienced. She was grateful for the distraction and Lisa loved the idea of having her safe at Knight Security's office, surrounded by the team the entire day.
Bambam's deep voice echoed down the hallway followed by Mina's soft one. She heard small footsteps and smiled brightly when Mina's figure appeared in the doorway. Mina was dressed in workout clothes and had a bag over her shoulder. "Hey sis! You busy?" Mina said with a sweet smile.
"Just working on a few things for Eric."
"Oh I'll let you get back to it, just thought you might want to come with me to the ring today." Mina offered. Jennie looked down at the documents on her desk then back up at Mina with a grin.
"I think I could take a short break." Jennie said.
"Are you sure? I heard your boss is a real jerk." Mina sassed saying her last statement loudly.
"Watch it Mina." Eric said flatly from across the hall, getting nothing but an eye roll from Mina in return.
"Where's Claire?" Mina said, leaning out toward Eric's office.
"She and Ji-eun are reorganising the fridge and pantry. Said it looked like a frat house." Eric chuckled.
"Well she's not wrong." Mina returned, turning her attention back to Jennie.
"So what do you say? You and me?" Mina asked brightly with a smile that was hard to say no to. "Sure." Jennie said, following Mina down the hall and toward the large gym. She fired off a quick text to Lisa who was at the shooting range.
Jackson was already standing in the ring, stretching out his muscular arms while Hoony, Sehun, and Mark lifted weights on the other side of the gym.
This place is massive. No wonder the guys spend so much time up here. It's got everything.
Giving Mina a wide grin, Jackson stepped on the ropes and separated them enough for Mina to enter. She straightened her posture, looking up at Jackson with determination on her face, skipping any small talk and getting right to business. "Teach me how to disarm someone." Mina said with a determined voice.
Jennie's head snapped up at Mina's words, studying her from the bench where she was sitting. Mina was a resilient little thing and Jennie couldn't help but admire her ability to adapt. She didn't wallow in self-pity or become angry at the world, she assessed and adapted and Jennie was impressed to say the least.
"Fuck yes. That's what I'm talking about Mina." Jackson praised.
"You want in on this Jennie?" Mina said over her shoulder.
Now I understand why you brought me down here Mina, you little sneak. You're scared for my safety, but didn't want to make me feel inferior or weak. I see you Mina - and I love you for it.
"Sure! I mean, I'm already down here right?" Jennie said giving Mina a knowing smile.
"Jackson's got a dummy gun and let them practice different techniques of how to disarm someone if they were holding them at gunpoint. Jennie memorised and catalogued every movement knowing how important the skills could be, especially to her. With Jiyong sending armies of hitmen to assassinate her, every self-defence skill she could pick up would be a priceless asset.
Mina was focused, but talked trash to Jackson the way she usually did, taunting him and taking playful verbal and physical jabs at him as they practiced. Bambam and Lisa appeared from behind them with grins on their faces as they watched Jennie and Mina disarm Jackson.
"Looking good Jennie girl." Lisa said with pride in her voice as she separated the ropes and helped Jennie out of the ring. Lisa wrapped her arms around Jennie and pressing her lips against hers as Lisa went in for a quick kiss.
"Next lesson, I'll teach you how to pick cuff locks." Jackson sneered at Lisa and Jennie with a sly grin and a wink. Jennie let out a loud laugh, but Lisa was unamused and gave Jackson the middle finger as she and Jennie took a seat on the bench.
Bambam's large body entered the ring, taking Jackson's place with Mina with a half-smile lifting the side of his mouth. "Why don't you try those moves on me?" Bambam said as he towered over Mina.
Mina playfully narrowed her eyes at Bambam before she spoke. "You think I'm scared of you?" Mina sassed.
"Oh I know you're scared of me." Bambam sassed back with his half-smile growing as he advanced toward her with his shoulders back. Mina watched his large frame approach, but didn't have a snarky rebuttal. "See, not so big and bad now that Daddy's in the ring huh?" Bambam said with his voice low and menacing, but a wide smile across his face. "Oh please. I'm not scared of you... boss." she sassed, raising her brows as she taunted him. "Then prove it." Bambam said, as he raised the dummy gun and held it flush with Mina's forehead, the same way the armed man had the night before.
Jackson had avoided that particular stance, having heard exactly what happened the night before and not wanting to flood either of the women with flashbacks. Jackson made it a point, not to hold the dummy gun that close to Mina's flesh, but Bambam was challenging Mina, knowing that's what she wanted and needed. Jennie watched carefully as Bambam coached Mina, letting the playful energy drain and serious focus take over. "Slow that breathing down." Bambam ordered. "Focus... I'm not gonna give this thing up willingly. You're gonna have to take it from me Mina." Bambam said in a low voice.
"Why is he being so harsh with her?" Jennie whispered to Lisa.
"He's not, baby. He's coaching her, trying to get her amped up. He knows her limits and what she responds to." Lisa corrected Jennie, giving her a reassuring smile.
"Rock his shit Mina." Hoony encouraged happily from the ropes.
Slowing her breathing down, Mina narrowed her eyes at the gun Bambam was holding. She paused and stilled her body before lunging her hands toward the gun in a quick lightning fast motion. She grabbed the top of the gun and swerved her head to the left, evading the guns line of fire before using her other hand to ram into Bambam's wrist, causing it to bend as she twisted the gun completely out of his hold and pointed it right back at him.
"Queen!" Jennie squealed as she clapped her hands and stood from the bench.
Bambam walked toward Mina with a proud smile as he cupped her face and planted a kiss on her lips that looked like it made Mina's knees go weak.
"Jennie and I've got next." Lisa claimed, hopping up from the bench. Separating the ropes for Jennie, Lisa pulled her into the ring with a confident smile on her face. Bambam handed her the dummy gun and Lisa stood there analysing which stance to take with Jennie. "You sure are thinking awfully hard over there. You're not scared are you?" Jennie taunted. Lisa let out a big laugh from her chest as she made her way over to Jennie. "Me scared of you?" Lisa said, looking down at Jennie. "Never."
"We'll just see about that." Jennie sassed.
"Alright then girl, what if someone had you wrapped up like this? What would you do?" Lisa asked as she wrapped one of her muscular arms around Jennie's neck and used the other to press the dummy gun against her temple.
First thing, get control of the barrel and get out of the line of fire.
Bringing her hands up from her sides, Jennie had almost reached the barrel of the gun that was pressed against her temple when Lisa made a game show buzzer noise with her mouth. "Ehhh wrong. I saw those hands coming up a mile away and could have shot you twice before they reached the gun." Lisa said, letting Jennie know she'd messed up.
"But I have to take control of the barrel and get out of the way, how do I do that without using my hands?" Jennie asked.
"Think about how people usually hold their hands when held at gunpoint." Lisa said, getting nothing but an arched brow from Jennie in return.
How often do you think I hold people at gunpoint?
