Lisa
The guys sat around the table playing cards and swapping stories, stealing occasional glances of their women who sat around the far end of the pool.
"I promise not to wear that hat around anyone but Jennie, since it gets the women so hot and bothered." Lisa said with a cocky grin, shooting her gaze over at Eric who gave her a firmly extended middle finger in return. "Jennie didn't look like she minded that hat one bit." Hoony said with a laugh. "Yeah no shit, don't let me forget that thing here tonight. Looks like I might need it when we get home." Lisa said with a sly smile.
The guys around the table let out deep chuckles, but the calm laid back energy at the table soon turned on its head when Claire's gut wrenching scream slammed into their ears. Her bubbly playful tone was gone and she screamed her husband's name at the top of her lungs out of sheer panic and terror, causing Eric to jump out of his seat.
The sound caused all of the rest to stand at once turning their attention toward the other end of the pool where the girls had been sitting. Lisa's eyes scanned the scene in front of her and saw a dark figure pointing a weapon right at Mina. He was yelling at the women to be quiet as he swept his gun from person to person, telling the women to shut up and be still.
You're a fucking dead man.
All of the guys took off towards them, jumping the railing and drawing their weapons, but their movements immediately stalled as the man viciously threatened the women they love. "If any of you take another step, I'll put a bullet in her brain." the man hissed, pressing the gun against Mina's forehead as he threatened the team.
"Everybody fucking stop." Bambam ordered with chest pumping and his eyes glued to the gun pressed against his fiancé's head. The guys were frozen in place, too scared to make moves knowing that the assassin could fire off multiple rounds before any of them could get to their women. Out of the corner of her eye, Lisa saw Marcus had his Glock out and drawn.
"You got a shot Mac?" Lisa said in a hushed voice.
"The girls are too close. They're right in fucking front of him," Marcus growled."
"Hollywood?"
"Negative, I need to move about three meters to the right to get around Ji-eun and Claire safely and I'm standing under this bright fucking light. He'll see my movement - might get antsy and do something stupid." Hoony whispered.
"We need his attention off of us so we can make moves." Bambam whispered, analysing on the fly.
As if Jennie had heard every hushed word they had said, she started to take the man's attention away from Mina and the men behind them. Her voice travelled through the air and hit Lisa right in the chest as she watched Jennie slowly move towards Mina and gently move her out of the way, taking her place in front of the gun. "Leave them out of it. It's me you want, right?" Jennie said as she took Mina's place at the end of the loaded weapon.
"You left a shit storm in South Korea and I'm here to make sure you pay for the trouble you've caused." The man said with an evil grin.
"Or I could just pay you instead." Jennie offered casually with absolutely no fear in her small voice. The man was staring directly at Jennie giving her a confused expression and Lisa took the opportunity to test the waters. Lisa was the only one who was standing in the shadow of the house and she was hoping to use the dark cover to her advantage. She took one slow calculated step to the side and received absolutely no reaction from the armed assailant. Since she was positioned to the far left and in the shadows Lisa was banking on the fact that the man might not be able to see her.
Keep him talking Jennie. I've got this baby.
"What do you mean pay me instead?" the man hissed.
