Lisa
Once the plane landed, Jay B, Ten, and Lucas met them on the tarmac as they headed toward two SUVs that were waiting to drive them to Jennie's office. The teams exchanged back slaps as they greeted each other, but all attention quickly turned to Jennie.
"Say girl, fancy meeting you here." Lucas joked as he wrapped his arms around her in a hug before pulling away and letting Ten take Jennie's bag. "Ready to roll little Jennie?" Ten said, taking her bag in one of his muscular tattooed arms as Jay B approached. "There she is." Jay B said, reaching down and picking her up in a large hug that made her laugh before he set her back down.
Jennie had met every member of the team besides Logan during the time she had spent working on assignments for Eric. The guys had all told Lisa separately how much they loved Jennie. That she fit right in and was able to hold her own with the guys during the day, making jokes and delivering sarcastic jabs as if they'd known each other for years which made Lisa's heart swell.
After going over the plan with Lucas, Jay B and Ten, the groups filed into the SUVs and headed toward the office. All of the playful energy that had been present in Jennie had been left on the tarmac as the SUV's pulled up to the high rise office building.
"You ready?" Lisa asked before her teammates opened the doors. "If you are." Jennie said honestly. "We were born ready, baby." Lisa said, shooting her a wink and giving her a quick peck on the forehead.
As soon as Jennie climbed out of the SUV, Lisa pulled Jennie against her, wrapping as much of her body around Jennie as possible as both teams completely surrounded them. They walked in unison, sizing up everyone they passed, assuming everyone was a possible threat. They made their way into the building and up to Jennie's office suite where the large group split up, letting Bravo team accompany Jennie, while the rest of the group fanned out and trailed behind.
The staff that had once populated the floor was completely different with brand new faces that Lisa and Jennie didn't recognise. It was as if Jiyong had done a complete staff overhaul during Jennie's leave of absence and replaced all of Richard's employees with strangers. Bambam threw up a hand signal, letting the group know he had eyes on Jiyong and where he was, but before Lisa could react to Jiyong, he heard Jin's voice echo from around the corner. "Finally." Jin bit out as the group rounded the corner. "The fuck took you so long?" Jin hissed at Jennie.
Lisa physically felt the air leave Jennie's lungs and tried her best to steady Jennie's weight as she absorbed Jin's verbal blows.
"It's a ten hour flight dumb ass." Jennie said coldly, playing along with Jin's game and hiding her pain at his hateful words.
"Yeah well you're fucking late and the attorney won't be here for long." Jin was scowling at Jennie, glaring at her as if he hated her. Jin walked ahead of them, whispering to a few men as they headed toward Richard's former office, which was now Jin's office with brand new expensive décor.
He's playing this part well. Almost too well.
Jennie, Lisa and Marcus followed Jin into the large office where an attorney was sitting at the desk, frantically stacking and moving papers around as they entered. Taking a seat, Jennie eyed the multiple stacks of papers in front of her. She turned over her shoulder to make sure Marcus was still in place behind her and that Lisa was still at her side. Marcus took a step forward so Jennie could feel him at her back and Lisa stood close enough that Jennie could touch her leg with her hand.
We're right here baby. No one's leaving you.
Jin whispered something in the attorney's ear before turning to leave the room. "Try to get this wrapped up as quickly as possible Edward, I need this trash out of my building." Jin said as he straightened his tie. He left in a hurry, bumping into Hoony on his way out the door.
Something doesn't feel right.
Lisa saw Marcus shift his weight and cut his eyes to Lisa, silently communicating that he felt the same way before both of them shifted their gaze back to the nervous, suspicious looking man who sat at the desk. The attorney was sweating profusely and was shifty, letting his eyes dart between Jennie and the large doors to his left.
I don't fucking like this.
Lisa leaned down and spoke down into Jennie's ear. "We need to go Jennie." Lisa said firmly.
"What?" she said whipping her head up to look at Lisa from the chair she was seated in. Just as the words left Jennie's mouth a small whistle from Hoony alerted Lisa that there was a threat.
"Get up Jennie." Lisa ordered, helping her out of the chair and tucking Jennie into her side.
"W... wait... you need to have a seat and sign..." the attorney stuttered and stammered through his nervousness, but Lisa didn't stay long enough for him to finish.
The entire group left in a hurry with tensions high and adrenaline pumping as they split up and entered the elevators.
"What happened?" Jennie asked with wide confused eyes.
"That attorney was fucking shady, did you see how nervous he was? And what the fuck did he keep looking at?" Lisa asked Marcus.
"Something was about to come through those doors, he was just waiting on it." Marcus confirmed.
"What'd you see Hollywood?" Lisa asked Hoony.
"Not what I saw but what I felt. Jin bumped into me on the way out the door and tried to pick a fight with me in the hall. I honest to God thought it was legit until he used the threat signal I taught him on my arm. He was warning us to get out." Hoony said. Jennie had a small smile on her face at Hoony's words of praise for her brother.
Thank you Jin. We owe you buddy.
The team agreed to meet at the Kim's estate to get the remainder of Jennie's things before they went to a safe house to regroup. They were grateful to have left unharmed, but everyone was thoroughly confused.
What the fuck was about to happen up there?
