Lisa
After re-dressing Hoony, Bambam, and Lucas' wounds, Lisa took a seat on the ground, letting Jennie sit between her legs and lean back against her chest as they waited for the med evac helicopter that was less than an hour away.
Hoony was conscious and mumbling, asking for Ji-eun every few minutes before he finally realised where he was and that she wasn't there. "Now that he's awake try to keep him talking to see how bad that concussion is." Lisa said to Bambam, who was sitting right beside Hoony.
"Hey Hollywood." Bambam said over his shoulder down at Hoony who was still lying flat on his back. "What's your name?"
"Hoony." he grumbled.
"What's fourteen plus seven?"
"Twenty one."
"What's your girl's name?"
"Ji-eun." Hoony said her name slowly with a wide smile.
"You speak any French?"
"Fuck you."
"Yeah I think he's okay." Bambam finally said as the rest of the group laughed at his line of questioning.
"Okay somebody has got to explain the whole French joke to me." Jennie said. Bambam laughed and sat up a little straighter, nursing his hurt shoulder, but eager to be the one to tell Jennie about Hoony's embarrassing mishap that had slowly turned into the team's favourite joke.
"Well you see, Hollywood was having quite a time with a girl he picked up in a club when we were in Vegas. She had a French accent and Hoony believed at the time that her name was Mitsy and he called out her name a few times when they were doing the deed. She tried multiple times to tell him that her name was actually Mar-cey, but he just thought she was thanking him saying..."
"Merci." Jennie whispered to herself as she covered her mouth to stifle her own laughter.
The group erupted in a fit of laughter as Bambam retold the story, playful saying 'Merci' to one another as they carried on.
"He must have called her Mitsy at least a dozen times, before she stormed out of the room." Bambam added.
"You really thought you were giving it to her that good Hollywood?" Jong-kook asked.
"I brought my A game that night fellas. It definitely deserved a thank you - or at least I thought so." Hoony chuckled.
"So now that you know the story, feel free to use it as ammunition against Hoony at any time." Lisa said from where she sat behind Jennie.
"Jennie would never, she's too sweet to pick on me like you animals." Hoony said.
"Aww Hoony... Merci for believing in me." Jennie said, eliciting belly laughs from everyone around them.
"I'll remember that Jennie." Hoony grumbled as he sat up, looking at her through one eye and giving her one of his sly half smiles.
Lisa loved that Jennie could hold her own with the guys and wrapped her arms around Jennie a little tighter. She couldn't get Jennie close enough to her and wanted every inch of Jennie pressed against her, feeling like her skin was thirsting for Jennie's touch. Every emotion she had for Jennie was amplified and felt more extreme and intense than they had before.
Just then Bambam got a call that the med evac Blackhawk was only a few minutes out, prompting the team to stand and ready their equipment to load once the helicopter had landed.
Lisa pulled Jennie against her, shielding her face and body as the helicopter landed before the teams piled in. "Heard you boys needed a ride." one of the two pilots said as they settled on the floor of the helicopter.
"Like you wouldn't believe, Jong-kook said, shaking the man's hand."
"Eric said you took care of a few hostiles tonight, anyone critical?" The other pilot asked, surveying his passengers to know if medical aid needed to be set up in the chopper or if it would wait until they reached a medical facility.
"Negative and if you call thirty four hostiles a few, then yeah... we took care of a few." Jong-kook replied.
"Jesus fuck... well rest easy guys, we'll get you where you need to go."
Lisa felt her entire body relax as the helicopter ascended, feeling Jennie do the same with her tiny muscles unfolding and melting against her shoulder. She was asleep within minutes and slept the entire way to the hospital and Lisa couldn't take her eyes off of Jennie's tiny hand in hers.
She spent the entire helicopter ride changing the position of her hand around Jennie's, tracing the lines of her little knuckles with the tips of her fingers before she laced her fingers between Jennie's, planting small kisses on the back on her hand and wrists as Jennie slept.
I'm so fucking lucky. Despite the events of the night and the multiple ways the night had gone wrong, I still consider myself the luckiest person on Earth to be able to be touching these sweet hands and to know they're all mine- that she's all mine. We survived this hell storm of a night and we're going to be okay.
