Lisa
Hoony's words spiked Lisa's adrenaline as she lifted Jennie gently out of her lap, settling Jennie onto the couch and quickly joined the group.
"How many and how far out?" Bambam asked into the radio
"About two klicks down the road. Four maybe five large vehicles."
Fuck.
Eric had chosen that safe house based on its remote location and if vehicles were coming down the road, it was because they were headed straight for the house. Jong-kook and Lucas immediately went to unpack the rifles and ammunition from their cases, readying themselves for a firefight while Marcus reached for the ammunition that Hoony and Ten would need up top on the roof.
"Let me run that extra ammo up to Hoony and Ten." Marcus said, taking the cases under his arms as he headed up the stairs toward the rooftop terrace. Lisa, checked her own rifle along with the magazines for both of the Glocks she had with her and shot her eyes over to her sleeping Jennie. She was going to be terrified, but Lisa was confident in her team and knew no harm would come to Jennie.
"Bravo Three, sitrep." Bambam said into the radio asking Hoony for a situation report on what was going on outside. "Five vehicles total, old ass military Humvees, fast approaching."
"Lock and load guys, guess they decided to bring the party to us tonight." Jong-kook said, securing his rifle across his chest.
Five Humvees... if they had each vehicle at capacity that could be between thirty to forty men. Thirty to forty armed men coming after my Jennie...
Lisa quickly pulled a Kevlar vest from her bag and went straight to Jennie who was still sleeping peacefully on the couch. "Jennie baby, wake up." Lisa said, trying to wake her up gently, yet forcefully. Jennie blinked her eyes open with a smile that quickly faded once she saw Lisa's concerned expression and saw Lisa lowering the vest over her head. "I need you to put this on okay?" Lisa said, sliding the vest on over her head and tightening it on one side as Jennie started to become more awake and aware.
"What's going on Lisa?" Jennie said in a shaky voice as she registered the men in the room all carrying out various tasks readying themselves for combat. "Got a couple of unwanted visitors outside. Nothing we can't handle." Lisa said, giving her a reassuring smile. Jennie's eyes went wide with fear and the sight gutted Lisa. "Take a deep breath sweetheart. We've got this... look around Jennie girl, does anyone here look like they are in a panic?" Lisa asked, prompting Jennie to turn and watch the men around her.
The men were all moving constantly, but their movements were controlled and precise as if they had done this a hundred times - which they had. Each man on the team knew exactly what to do to prepare and how to do it, moving in sync like machines as they readied their gear and weapons.
"No... they don't." she said as she watched them.
"That's because we do this shit all the time, alright baby. Just another day at the office," Lisa said, giving her a reassuring wink, hoping it would calm Jennie's nerves even a little bit. "But you've got to do everything I say okay? No matter what I ask you to do, I need you to do it, can you promise me that?" Lisa asked.
"I promise." Jennie said, nodding her head with confirmation as she took in deep breaths and pushed them out slowly, watching the teams around her prepare for battle. "How you feeling Luc?" Jong-kook asked Lucas with a smile.
"Dangerous Kook, I'm feeling dangerous." Lucas said with a smile as he cocked his weapon. Alpha team saw live combat nearly every day when they were overseas and were used to prepping for an ambush on the fly. It was second nature to them and their laid back and calm demeanour as they readied themselves seemed to be comforting to Jennie.
