Jennie
Jennie slowly blinked her heavy eyelids open and took in her surroundings. Her room was dark and quiet with only the sound of slow even breathing and light snoring cutting through the silence. Lisa was sound asleep beside her, laying on her back with one arm folded behind her head and other resting on her chest.
Turning her head toward the love seat and chairs that were at the foot of her bed, she saw Jin, sprawled out with one of his long legs hanging over the arm of the couch. He looked insanely uncomfortable, but he was fast asleep. As Jennie slowly sat up and recalled the events of the past few hours, her head started to spin with questions.
Who tampered with my medication and why? Not only that, but when did it happen and how on earth were they able to gain access to my purse without me knowing?
The thoughts swirled around Jennie's mind, making her head ache as she tried to remember every detail that she could, but it was all spotty. Her memory of the night had giant holes and gaps, so she couldn't recall everything that had happened, only bits and pieces.
Her eyes travelled around the room, stopping on the empty IV bags that were on the table. Jennie rubbed her arm where the IV site had been and let out a sigh of relief, knowing Lisa and Jin wouldn't be sleeping if her levels were still low. The sight of the IV bags made her have to pee and she swung her legs over the side of the bed to head to the bathroom, trying not to wake the sleeping people around her.
Her small feet hung over the edge of the bed and searched for the floor as she stood, but landed on hard muscle instead. A low grunt echoed from beneath her feet and she quickly realised she was standing on a person. But not just any person - a massive person, who barely registered her weight on his back. "Marcus I'm so sorry." Jennie whispered, scrambling off his back and crouching down beside him.
His deep laugh rumbled through his chest as he rolled over on his side, barely fazed by her. "It's alright Doll, thought maybe a pillow rolled off the bed or something." His voice was even deeper when he was tired.
"Did I hurt you?" she asked, in a worried voice as she placed a hand on his back. Her question elicited another deep laugh from Marcus. "Seriously?" he chuckled. Realising she was serious, Marcus stretched and sat up. "You didn't hurt me Jennie. In fact I wish you would have stood a couple inches to the left, I've got a knot I've been trying to work out over there." Marcus said, with a reassuring smile.
"You trying to get a massage from my girl, Mac?" Lisa's deep gritty voice echoed from the bed.
"Busted." Marcus chuckled, shooting Jennie a playful wink. Jennie let out a laugh and stood so she was able to see Lisa, who was stretching her muscular arms up over her head. "You feeling better sweetheart?" Lisa asked mid-stretch. "Much. I felt good enough to get up to go to the bathroom and accidentally stepped on Marcus." Jennie giggled quietly.
"I'm sure he'll recover." Lisa said.
"Why the hell is everyone awake right now?" Jin groaned from the couch without opening his eyes.
"Jennie's just attacking people in their sleep." Lisa chuckled.
"Jennie's up?" Jin said, popping his eyes open and sitting up from where he was laying on the couch.
"How ya feeling Bug?" Jin said, looking her up and down.
"Better... much better. What time is it anyway?" Jennie asked no one in particular.
"About 3:00am. Let me go grab you a drink while you're up, then we can get a few more hours of sleep." Lisa said, moving to get out of bed.
"Lisa I swear to God, if you fucking step on me, I'm not gonna take it nearly as well as Marcus did." Hoony grumbled from the floor on the other side of the bed.
