Part 50: The Trio's Escape

Lex was waiting in his cell again when the door once again opened, and this time, a man brought in a plateful of food. "Here you go."

As much as the food smelled good, Lex couldn't let this chance pass by. This time, there were no guns in the hands. Lex made a fast move, and he attacked the man offering him food. He simply knocked him out of the way and the food made a mess everywhere. He grunted in reply. Lex made a break for it. He rushed out the door and pressed the button on the other side. The door locked the man inside.

He had to find Brooklyn and Broadway and had to get out of here, fast! He ran down the hallway fast, looking in every room he could find. He couldn't let himself be captured again.

That was when alarms began to blare. "Uh oh! I've got to find my brothers quick!" He told himself.

On camera, Ray saw what happened and he shouted orders, "Don't let him get away!"

His men nodded and got their dart guns and began running to the cells to contain the gargoyle before he got to his brothers.

Brooklyn's lock hadn't been touched yet, not since before he had been put in this cell. Suddenly, he heard alarms going off. He got to his feet. What was going on?

Suddenly, his door opened up. He was going to get Ray for this if it was him. His eyes started to glow in anger.

"Brooklyn? It's me. Lex. We have to get out of here, quick!" Lex appeared in the doorway.

His eyes returned to normal. "Lex?" He questioned. "Is it really you?"

"Yes, now let's go." Lex declared. "We have to find Broadway."

Brooklyn didn't hesitate. He was glad to get out of the boring cell. They both ran down the hallway, looking for their brother. But then, how did he know this was Lex?

"Wait. How do I know you're really my brother?" Brooklyn asked.

"Brooklyn, we don't have much time. Alright. Remember my first encounter with a human on a motorcycle, that I made it crash into the wall when I couldn't control it?" Lex declared.

"Alright. You're my brother. Let's go." Brook stated.

The two of them checked every room they could find for Broadway. They hoped he was alright. They were.

Broadway had come out of his sedation but was in some pain. He was sitting up by the wall now. He was also hearing the alarms blare. He hoped his clan was here to save him and his brothers.

Then, his door opened up. "Broadway, we have to get out of here, quickly!" Brooklyn peeked in and saw his big brother.

"Brooklyn?" Broadway asked.

"Yes?"

"I need help to walk. I was operated on not long ago." The aqua male said.

"Oh, great." Brooklyn said. He went into the cell to help his brother to his feet. "Come on. We'll get you out of here."

"Where's Lex?"

"I'm here." Lex said. He was holding the door open.

Brooklyn got Broadway out. "Can you make it?" Brook asked.

"Yes. I'll make it. I don't... want to stay here." Broadway winced. He held his belly as his red bro helped him to walk.

"Where do we go from here, Lex?" Brooklyn asked.
