A Gargoyle's Journey and Virility

Part 56: A New Generation

In the following years, as the kids got older, they learned to walk, talk, and learned to glide. But they wouldn't go on their first patrol until they were much older yet. They had to stay safe until their fighting skills were better and they were strong enough.

The girls were all close as were the boys. They all did their best to get along.

The males didn't want to reveal how their kids were conceived. It just wasn't natural. Elaine and Angela would always be considered their mothers.

Eventually, the clans of the world met up too. The kids got to meet other young gargoyles their own age and made new friends.

Lexington even met a young male that interested him. A male called Stagheart from the London Clan. It was kind of unusual, but Lex just had a different approach to a love life. He was bigger than Lex, but they got along great.

All of this happened just before the next breeding season. Lex wouldn't be having more kids since he wasn't mates with a female, but he was a father, nonetheless. Stagheart accepted his daughters too.

By this time, Goliath and Elisa had two adopted human kids. One girl and one boy. Vicky was the girl, and Jeff was the boy. They had named him after Hudson's friend.

When the breeding season came on in 2007, Elaine had been a gargoyle for over eleven years. She loved being a gargess. And as a gargess, her body, like Angela, came into heat that fall and she and Brooklyn mated, and she got pregnant. Broadway and Angela got pregnant too. Both females conceived eggs this time. There would be new babies in a decade after they laid them on the spring equinox.

But there were more females around now too in the clan mixed from other clans.

The city of New York had also officially accepted the gargoyles as part of their community and were assistants with the police at night. Some were also elected as caretakers for young ones if they weren't interested in helping the police if humans made them uncomfortable.

The Manhattan Clan's offspring had all received the best education that they could have while growing up and still had growing up to do before they got their own mates and had babies too. They were all thrilled to be growing up with more than just themselves too. It was great to have new rookery siblings to talk to, play, and train with.

In 2018, on the spring equinox, all the adults and older kids gathered in the rookery to see about eighteen babies hatch.

Broadway and Angela knew which one was their egg as did Brooklyn and Elaine. Both of them had a daughter each. But there were even numbers of the girls and boys, period. They were all from having more other clans join theirs.

Brooklyn and Elaine named their new daughter Kyla. She looked like her daddy but had Elaine's hair and horns. She had her eyes too.

Broadway and Angela named theirs Gwendolyn. Gwen's skin looked much like Broadway's, but had Angela's hair color, eyebrows, and spurs, and female looks. At least Angela could say that a child looked like her now.

Even Goliath and Elisa's human kids still got along with the young gargoyles. So did Alexander.

By this time, Hudson had started getting sickly and he was glad there was more new life in the clan, and they would carry on. He would always be proud of his clan no matter what. He eventually passed on and the clan had a funeral for him with a Wind Ceremony.

Hudson had been a great grandfather to the young ones. They would miss him. All of the clan who knew him best would especially too, like Goliath. He had been his mentor and leader before giving the job to him. Goliath would try to retain Hudson's wisdom the best he could to the younger ones.

Coldstone and Coldfire had even been renamed Othello and Desdemona, so it was easier to tell them apart. They had also regained their mortal bodies from Queen Titania from a favor for saving her grandson when he was a kid once.

Even they had partaken in the breeding too. They had a new daughter too. She looked more like Desdemona with her dad's coloring. Her name was Ember.

Brooklyn looked upon his clan and loved having a mate and his four offspring. He had two sons and two daughters. His mate might have been human once, but he wouldn't have it any other way. The other gargoyles accepted her for her compassion, humility, and sense of duty to them.

Elaine's family had come looking for her at one point many years ago, but when they found out she was a gargoyle, they had disowned her completely. Elaine was satisfied with that. The clan was her sole family now.

To think that this incredible journey had started from waking up in Manhattan in 1994 and waiting a few years, getting kidnapped and forced to be pregnant in an experiment, taken a journey home from Nevada and met Elaine, and events just went from there. It had been an amazing journey and it had had its bad moments too.

The clan was also much improved with more members and everyone having their life mate and their offspring around them. It was also awesome being a productive member of the community too, defending it from baddies and doing things to be productive by doing activities with the humans in the city too. Not just doing police things.

Life was at its best for the gargoyles of the Manhattan Clan, and the gargoyles all across the world at this point in time. There would always be grand adventures for them, but there was nothing better than being with loved ones.
