Part 45: Elaine's Training

Later, when lunch was served, the clan gathered in the dining room. When Brooklyn and Elaine joined them, they stood there hand in hand. "Uh, everyone, there's someone I want you to meet." He began.

The clan all turned to their Second to see him holding the hand of an orange female gargoyle.

"Brooklyn, who is this?" Goliath asked.

"Guys, I'm reintroducing you to my girl, Elaine." Brooklyn declared. Elaine was nervous and hoped the others would accept her this way.

"Elaine?" Angela questioned.

"Yes, Angela. It's me."

The others knew her voice. It was her. But how?

"How did this happen to ye, Lass?" Hudson asked.

"I had Puck and Alex do this to me." Elaine answered.

"You chose to do this?" Lex asked.

"Yes. It was my surprise for Brooklyn. I was tired of living as a human. My human family is history. They want nothing to do with me anymore and vice versa. They would never understand you guys. You are my family now. I need a new start for my life. I want to make this permanent and be Kaska's new mom." Elaine explained. "And Brooklyn's mate. He had told me that he desired a gargoyle mate long ago. I thought to give him one this way, and yet, he loved me as a human. But like I said, I would give up my life as a human to be a gargess for him."

The clan admired her honesty and integrity for doing this for Brooklyn. He was at his happiest with her. He now had the female gargess he had been longing for.

"So, what do you all think of my new form?" she asked.

"You look wonderful, Lass." Hudson declared. He went over to give her a hug.

"Thanks, Hudson."

"I sure could use some female company sometimes." Angela complimented.

To Broadway and Lex, they were transformed by her new looks. She was beautiful to them too. But Broadway would in no way cheat on Angela.

Goliath was happy for Brooklyn to have a new mate to be. She had been human but turned gargoyle. Elisa and the Xanatos' still needed to see her as a gargess.

"I hope you all can teach me how to be the gargoyle that I am now." Elaine proclaimed.

"Of course, we will, Elaine." Goliath assured her. "Most of our kind learn from when they are very young how to deal with their wings and tail, plus their talons. But you will have to learn from the age you are now."

"I'm twenty-five years old, Goliath." Elaine said.

"If you were that in gargoyle years, you would still be a kid." Lex declared. "You'd be like the equivalent of being twelve and a half."

"I never want to go back to being a kid, thank you."

"You look similar to Brooklyn's age, if a little younger." Goliath said.

"I am younger with him being forty." She declared.

"But he is more like twenty." Lex said.

In that term, he was younger than her. But they were closer in age then. They would have a weird age range rather than be the same age. Oh well. But would true gargoyle physiology take over in her? Would she come into heat in the breeding year, another ten years? It only remained to be seen.

Elaine didn't care about the age range. What mattered more was that she and Brooklyn loved one another and were going to continue their wedding plans. But the clan was accepting of her new looks. Seeing her like this would take some getting used to. She knew there was much she needed to learn to about being a gargess.
