'Wait, so you babysat Vin Diesel's child?!'
Mona laughed, nodding. 'When I first saw the house i thought I was taking care of Michael De Santa's kid, god, LA is full of surprises.' She grinned sheepishly at her best friend as the wondered the streets of Manhattan together. Man, Mona felt blessed just having someone like Dakota Brooks by her side 24/7. The two of her had been for each other since day, and for 11 years they promised each other 'chicks before dicks', well what best friends didn't live by that code?
'Oh and-' Mona was interrupted by squeamish noises from round the bend of the street and stopped in her tracks. Dakota, confused began to walk over round the corner, followed by Mona. The two of them stared, wide-eyed, at their best friend, April O'neil and Casey Jones, whom happened to be standing next to four, walking, talking turtles, and a human with the head of a gruesome bug circling around them in the air.
'A-April? Casey? What the hell are you doing? And who the hell are these....people?!' Dakota stammered loudly, failing to process what was right in front of her. Mona, eyed the bug man carefully before recognising who it was.
'Uncle Baxter?!'
'Uncle Baxter?!' April repeated, shocked to find out the half human half mutant was a relative of Mona's. She never had gotten the chance to meet her uncle, seeing her father stopped inviting him to Thanksgiving probably 9 years ago. Baxter Stockman flew out of sight instantly.
Dakota noticed, the orange canister in Casey's grasp and lost all emotion in her face.
'Someone please explain what is happening right now because it's very unlikely for me to be seen in this part of Manhattan for this long.' Mona exclaimed, slightly frustrated.
April sighed, and approached her best friend, staring at her sternly. She then turned her head to the turtles, giving them a heads up before turning her attention back to Mona.
'Mona, Dakota, meet my friends, Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello'. She turned round in their direction, gesturing her hand.
'What up boiiiiiiiii' Mikey screeched, followed by a smack round the head by Raph.
Dakota fell back, but was instantly saved by Casey, causing him to drop the half empty canister, slouching in his arms.
Mona eyed the sea creatures, her current mood unreadable to even April. Her eyebrows furrowed, as she folded her arms.
'So these are the guys that you've been bailing Dee and I for? They seem....interesting' She smirked looking around the street. She moved April aside and then slowly stepped over to them. She titled her head, examining what was in front of her.
'Hmm, so if figured by the girly bandanas and weapons that you happen to be some sort of ninjas, and by the this one's voice(indicating Mikey) you guys are like what? 12?'
'We're 15.' Raphael replied bluntly. Mona simply grinned and shrugged.
'My bad.'
Raph chuckled, he could smell a sarcastic bitch from a mile away, seeing he was one himself.
'Now, who would like to explain why my uncle, is flying around New York with the head of a bug?'
The street when silent, but then Leo spoke up.
'Erm, well erm you see, your 'uncle' happens to work for this evil guy called Oruku Saki, who also happens to be our sensei's arch nemesis and also happens to be working with the Kraang who make mutagen which is what made us what we are today and that mutagen got spilled on Derek Stinkman and that orange substance is retro mutagen which helps a mutant go back to their original form and Baxter tried to steal it off us but we were actually going to use it on Mr O'neil.' He gasped and took a step back, giving Mona time to take it all in.
' hey, does anyone know how to get Dee conscious?'
Mona, simply ignored Casey and slowly nodded.
'Okay so bad uncle, retro mutagen, mutated father got it. But wait, how did you get the retro mutagen?' She rose her eyebrow, looking confused.
'Well, you see Donnie here happens to have some serious skills when it comes to science.' Leo answered. Raph simply rolled his eyes and scoffed.
'Don't try and sugar coat it, what Lameo here is trying to say is that Donnie is a bigger nerd than einstein.' He retorded, Mona giggled at the comment, before turning to Donnie
'So, I'm guessing you want us to mutate your uncle back huh?'
Mona hesitated, but then she shrugged.
'I honestly don't mind. I mean, I always knew there was something off about him, ya know, other than him living with my grandmother at his age.'
Casey groaned. He'd been holding Dakota forever and finally lost it. He slapped her and eyes shot wide open, sitting up quickly. Everyone stared at Dee, and the three teenagers shared a grin between all of them.
Mona shook her head, chuckling. 'Now, I'm sort of okay with this part of Manhattan'. Everyone couldn't help but grin at that comment. Finally, Mona turned her attention to Dakota. She walked over, then slapped her awake. Dakota squealed, rubbing her temples as she stood up straight.
'Finally.' Casey cheered, shaking his arms awake. Mona turned back to April and the turtles.
'Now, you have a hell of a lot of explaining to do.' She said, folding her arms. Leo chuckled, nodding in agreement.
'Well so do you, well with your mutant uncle anyway. Ladies first.' He replied, returning her the cheeky smile. Mona sighed, beginning to walk down the deserted road. She quickly turned to find everyone still stood there.
'Well?'
April rolled her eyes, beginning to walk after her, everyone doing the same.
'Well, it's not complicated really. My dad and Baxter have always had some war going on since they were kids. My dad always was the better brother. And when my grandfather was said to die from cancer, guess who he inherited Stark Enterprises to?'
'Baxter?!' Mikey guessed, beaming brightly. Mona turned, her face blank, then she sighed, giving Mikey a pitiful look.
'No. My dad. Brian Stockman. And then he offered him a job at the company, but then he got fired after he broke the coffee machine.'
'Well, I guess that explains why he now works for the Shredder. Small world.' Casey finished the story for her, shaking his head in disbelief.
'Now, what's you guy's deal?' Mona questioned. Leo had caught up to her, and noticed how short she was next to him. Cute.
'Well, the reason your crazy uncle Barry is half bug half fly is because he was hit by this weird thing called mutagen, same thing with us, which is why we are what we are today.'
'And I'm guessing what you are are hormonal crime fighting mutant turtles. Cute.' She added. Mikey's face filled with confusion.
Hormonal?
'Woah you're like psychic.' Mikey commented, his voice slow and full of amazement.
'No, you're just predictable.'
Dakota scoffed.
'Everyone is according to this girl.' She snorted, walking besides April and Casey. Raph laughed
aloud. And they thought he was lippy.
'Is that so?' He argued, smirking maliciously. Mona stopped in her tracks and turned to the turtles. She eyed every one of them carefully, then a satisfied grin appeared on her face.
'Leonardo. Alpha. Rapheal. The Muscle. Michelangelo. The joker. And Donatello. The brains.' Casey, Dakota and April gaped at her in astonishment. She knew her stuff. The turtles exchanged weird glances at each other in awe, before looking back at Mona. Raphael chuckled again.
'You should be in downtown Manhattan more often.'
