April, Donnie,Leo, Mikey and Raph were in the shellraiser, on their way to TCRI. Casey would have joined them, but was called up for his possibly 10th detention this week. During the spring and summer the days were longer, meaning the turtles would have been extra careful when going out into the city. Mikey sat upside down on his chair with a rubix cube in his hands, humming to some ridiculous song by Meghan Trainer. April had sat in the front seat, next to Leo, going over the plan.
'So, I'm confused. Why exactly do I have to be here?' She questioned. Leo sighed, rolling his eyes.
'Well, with your psychic powers, they could come in really useful. Like last time, and besides, it's good training.' He commented. April shrugged before she nodded in agreement. Raph stared at the floor, replaying that little scene with April earlier. Like, what did she even mean? Did she know something? Don't be stupid Raph, of course she didn't. No one was in the lair that time, well no one was awake anywhere. But it doesn't even matter anymore. That whole thing with Dakota is long gone, just like his feelings for her. maybe. ugh. There's nothing to worry about. Raph grinned at himself, suddenly feeling, happy about this whole situation. Mona loved him, he loved Mona, it's all good. April looked up from her lap, looking at the road, noticing a row of spikes lined up.
'Look out!' She shrieked. Leo was too late to understand her warning, the front tyres of the shellraiser scraping against the jagged things causing the vehicle to go haywire. Leo briefly lost control, the shellraiser skidding into a wall just next to the alleyway round the corner.
'Shoot.' He mumbled loudly, wincing. Leo and April turned to look at the others.
'Everyone alright?' He bellowed, sounding as calm as possible. Mikey was on the floor his rubix cube sitting on his head. He fell, dropping onto the floor hard when the van swivelled round.
'I'm fine.' He groaned, sitting up gradually. Raph and Donnie seemed okay, but of course Raoh was irritated.
'What the hell was that?!' He exclaimed, rubbing his neck.
'Pfft, how am I supposed to know?!' Leo exclaimed back at him.
'Try checking it out idiot!' Raph snapped, helping Mikey into his seat. Leo rolled his eyes, exiting the vehicle. He looked at the tyres to noticed the damage, and there was a dent on the side of the shellraiser. He groaned hitting his forhead in annoyance.
'Man, what are the odds you would have fallen into my little prank?' The voice of an unknown called from the roof above. They jumped down, removing the mask covering the bottom half of their face. It was Karai. She was a beautiful girl. She had maroon plump lips and thin but neat eyebrows. She had luminous hazel eyes and short black hair, just up to her shoulders that she wore in a bob. Her makeup was natural, but still looked bold and she was wearing her signature foot uniform, the navy blue belt giving off some sort of illusion which made her look even thinner. Her fighting skills wasn't the only thing deadly about her, she could kill with her charm. Leo sighed, looking at her blankly.
'Prank? You could have seriously hurt someone!' He said, his arms moving all over the place.
'Well, the only person I intend on seriously hurting is probably you.' She retorted a dashing smirk forming on her face. She pulled out her blades, and Leo did the same.
'Why are you doing this?' He ask, not being able to stop himself from smiling. Karai simply shrugged.
'Fun.'
The two were instantly at. There weapons clashing every so often. Karai tried to defend herself, but in the process had one of her blades drop.
'Hmm. You improved.' She complimented. This made Leo blush faintly. The turtles and April were looking through the window, watching the fight.
'Go Leo!' Mikey cheered, getting a slap round the head from Raph two seconds later.
Mona was walking down the street, singing to herself. A shortcut home was through the alleyway to save her through the trouble of getting caught up in a large crowd. She stopped in her tracks and she went round the corner, her gaze moving upon Leo fighting some girl. Damn, she was good. She was about to walk nearer, but figured it would be best to stay in her place.
'Leo!' She called out. Karai and Leo moved their weapons round their waist, looking up at her silently. Mona slowly moved forward, her hand on her hip. She was pulling on of her many faces, this one reading 'someone better start explaining.' Mona examined her, then began to laugh.
'Wait a minute. Is she Karai? Oh my god, and all this time I thought your girlfriend here was imaginary.' She laughed between her words, leaning against the wall behind her for balance. She got her hysterics under control, sighing deeply.
'She's not my girlfriend.' Leo snapped, blushing violently. Karai seemed somewhat amused by this, and she wasn't the only one. The rest of the gang were still watching from the window, still finding this funny even if they couldn't make out every word.
'Karai, Mona. Mona, Karai.' Leo introduced, extremely embarrassed by Mona. He couldn't stay mad at her even if he tried. No one could. Karai stared at Mona, examining every aspect of her face. She looked familiar, but she wasn't sure from where.
'Mona, I won't forget that name.' She said, her voice low and slow. She grabbed a small ball from her pocket, smashing into the ground and was gone in a poof. Mona, ran a hand through her hair, grinning, then moved next to Leo, putting him in a headlock.
'She's a keeper.'
