Dakota rung the bell to the foot lair, shaking in her boots. She was approached by three footbots who towered over her.
'I was told to come here by Karai.'
The footbots glanced at each other suspiciously before finally letting her in. She slowly walked into the main room to find Karai standing right in front of her.
'So glad you could make it on such short notice.'
Dakota's mother was screaming at her daughter, telling her to get away from here. Dakota reluctantly ignored her. She had got to the city like 2 hours ago so wasn't in the mood for talking. She took the USB from her pocket and turned away to exit but unfortunately stopped by footbots. She huffed, turning on her heels.
'Not so fast. You're not leaving until I get information on Ms Stockman.'
Dakota shrugged.
'What's there to know? Her dad's a famous scientist and businessman and she's your everyday Blair Waldorf.'
Karai chuckled sarcastically.
'We all know there's more to her than being a copy of TV's biggest brat.'
'If I do tell you what I know, you'll let my mother go?'
Karai nodded.
'Okay. Sit tight.'

'Look who's home!'
Liberty and Derek sauntered inside the house, Liberty's luggage lunging behind them. Leo and Mona came down, welcoming home their mom with hugs and kisses. Liberty looked at the state of her daughter, shaking her head in dismay. Mona rolled her eyes at her reaction.
'It's no big deal. I'll be walking in a couple weeks.'
'A car accident is no big deal? Derek, this is your fault!'
Derek laughed awkwardly.
'It's no one's fault okay?'
'Well maybe if you-'
'Alright! Now if we just let your mom settle in then we'll be off. So Mo, you better get ready because you look half decent. And where were you last night? You left your phone at home.'
Mona huffed
'I slept over at a friend's.'
Leo raised an eyebrow, folding his arms.
'What friend? It better not have been a boy.'
Mona elbowed him in the stomach, looking back at her dad as Leo winced in pain. He turned to his sister and shoved the middle finger up her face when their parents left the scene. Mona smirked, grabbing his finger and bending it backwards. Leo screamed in agony, snatching his finger away and walking off.
'And I thought my life would be easier seeing me and your boyfriend share the same name.'

Karai's eyes lingered at Dakota's face, pulling a face in suspicion.
'It was easier getting information than I thought. Why?'
Dakota shrugged.
'I have nothing more to lose. Now are you going to let my mother go or not?' She snapped impatiently.
Karai gaped at sappiness sarcastically.
'Nope. I still can't exactly trust you, but I'll let you go. You're no longer use to me.'
Karai pulled out her katana from her waist, moving it to Dakota's face. Sweat trickled down the side of Dakota's face, as she examined the blade pointed at her.
'Now, if I find out you double crossed me... I think we both know what comes next. And it's not so pleasant. Footbots, escort our friend out.'
Two footbots grabbed Dakota by her arms, dragging he out so quickly she couldn't even look at her prisoner for a mother. Hilary Brooks shot Karai a dirty glare which got her attention from the corner of her eyes. Karai laughed sauntering round the lair in circles
'What, Hilary?'
'Ms Brooks, we're not friends.'
'Don't be so sure, a lot of things can change once I found if what's in this thing is blackmail worthy.'
Karai tossed the USB in the air catching once it fell back down. She slowly approached the cell where Hilary was being held, crouching down and smiling at her coldy. She began to wave the USB in her face, admiring it herself.
'This. Imagine Mona Stockman's life if it got out. She has to give in, she has to.'
Hilary pulled a repulsed face at the girl.
'What is wring with you? Taking advantage of that poor girl just because of where she coming from. Why do you want Stark Enterprises so much anyway?'
'Because!' She exclaimed, shooting back up.
'Because, that business is the key to having control of this city. You know, not all of us have everything handed to us on a silver plate. Or with a father who's proud of you no matter what.'
'So that's what this about, envy? Trying to redeem yourself?'
'So what if it is?' Karai spat, beginning to walk away from her
Besides, my dad's opinion won't even matter once I've got my hands on the city's life resource. They say to attack from the inside but someone as cunning as me wouldn't mind it either way.'

Dakota sprinted down the streets, finding herself by an abandoned warehouse not so far from where the turtles were. She slid against the brick wall, pulling her knees to her chest and burying her head between. She sobbed to herself quietly, however her cries just grew louder and louder.
'Dee?'
Dakota wiped away upcoming tears, looking up to see Casey hovering above her. He gave her a hand which she gladly took, giving him a hug once she rose to her feet.
'What are you doing back in New York?'
She pulled away and sniffled, staring at the ground below.
'Messing things up. Can we walk whilst I explain? I need to see the guys.'
'Raph would be thrilled to see you!'
Dakota blanked, making Casey realise his naive manner.
'Sorry.'

'Dude, when are you planning on telling us about the latest Meo drama?' Mikey teased, poking Leo's shoulder. Leo grunted, pushing him off.
'You sound exactly like her. And for the record, whatever it is or was between us, is officially over. So shut up with all that Meo and Lona stuff okay?'
'I think Meo sounds cute.'
Everyone turned to the doorway to see Dakota an Casey. The room fell to complete quiet. Donnie got up, walking over and greeting Dakota.
'Wow, Dee. Nice see you. Cool haircut.'
Dakota smiled wearily, playing with the ends of her bleach blonde locks.
'Thank you.' Her smile faded, once she caught a glimpse of Raph's face, whom didn't seem so pleased about her coming back.
Mikey squealed walking over to her and squeezing her tightly.
'Dee!'
She squeaked, insisting he put her down.
Leo got up and stood in place as the others came back over.
'So what do we owe the visit?'
Dakota inhaled slowly, talking a seat on the arm of the sofa. Some nasty things has happened on that sofa.
'I messed up, big time. You guys are like the only people I've got.'
Raph turned away, trying to focus his attention on somewhere else.
'So.' She continued.
'Victoria sent me this USB, I had no idea what was on it but I figured it was something that could destroy Mona. I received a video from Karai, who currently has my mother hostage and telling me she wanted the USB. Vick then advised me to switch it with a fake one so I did. I thought that once I had given it to her and the info that she needed she would let me my mom go. Boy was I wrong. Now, the once she finds out the USB isn't legit, she's going to mutate my mom.'
The conversation grew busier but Leo had gotten everyone to settle.
'Okay, so you want us to free your mom?'
Dakota screwed her face.
'Well duh!'
Leo chose to ignore her attitude.
'Of course, we'll need a plan.'
Casey nodded in agreement.
'Don't forget that Karai's still a teenage brat I mean girl, so we just need to know how a devious teenage girl thinks so we're one step ahead.'
'Mona.' Everyone but Leo agreed on.
Leo scoffed in disagreement.
'Okay. Mona isn't devious.' He looked around to see everyone questioning him.
'What do you want me to do?'
Donnie rolled his eyes.
'Use the same charm you used to get her to make out with you to get help. Her life is on the line too.' He responded.
'Fine. However, she has a lot going on. So if she can't help don't blame it on me.' He protested.
Casey grunted jokingly.
'Homecoming Queen isn't a lot.'
Dakota nudged Casey, grinning.
'You taking April?'
'Sure am.'
Donnie snarled discretely at Casey.
'Honestly though. I'm dreading it. I got nominated for Homecoming King!'
Everyone burst out laughing.
Raph fell to the floor in a fit.
'Casey Jones, Homecoming? That's crazy.'
Casey frowned at the reaction he was receiving.
'Wow guys don't sugarcoat it.'
Dakota sighed, catching a breath. She got up and patted Casey on the shoulder.
'Good luck winning that one.' She said lazily, going into the kitchen. She sauntered to the fridge and scanned the inside. She heard the door open behind her, moving her head to see who it was. She gritted her teeth, grabbing a soda and closing the fridge gently. She tried to make no eye contact with Raph, sitting on a stool.
Raph sat opposite her.
'You okay?'
'I'm fine.'
'No you're not.'
'Why would I be? My mother is being held prisoner by some psycho ninja whilst I'm can't even walk down the street without having to worry about running into Mona.' She snapped.
Raph gulped, playing with his fingers.
'Where you going to stay?'
'At April's.'
Raph widened his eyes.
'You're okay now?'
'Yep.'
He slowly nodded, watching her down her drink.
'You know, you can't let Mona push you around.'
'I wouldn't have to if I wasn't such a shit friend to her. I've let her down big times and she's been nothing but there for me. I would do the same thing if the roles were reversed.'
Raph lowered  his eyes, resting his head in his hand.
'It's our fault she's like this. All of ours. Especially me. She used to rely on us but she can't even go a day without insulting me nowadays.'
Dakota chuckled, throwing the can into the bin.
'April told me everything on Skype. Now you just need to live with that. I have.'
'No you haven't.'
Dakota swallowed hard, making her throat ache.
'Maybe I haven't, but I will. Eventually.'
