Sleeping With The Enemy: A TMNT Fanfiction

Mona looked up, then swallowed hard laughing nervously. Everyone turned around, and rushed over to the scene in an instant.
'Guys, like to introduce me to your friends here?' She called over, moving closer to the building door.
Raph scowled whipping out his sais.
'Oh trust me they're no friend of ours. What the hell do you want Tiger Claw?' He snapped.
Tiger Claw turned around as so did Fishface.
'We want to be human again. And the only way we could do that is by have the last batch of mutagen in the city.' He answered.
'So that Baxter Stockman can make us the retromutagen.'
Mona moved closer, her eyes going dark and an aggressive snarl showing on her face.
'You fucking bastards. You think you can get away with messing with my family? Well, I'm going to make sure that you guys don't go back to being human you've lost the right of living a normal life.' She growled. Tiger Claw and Fishface looked at her in shock and disgust and what she just said.
Tiger Claw popped out his claws moving his big hand to the side of his waist.
'I'd watch what you say lady, seeing we still have your family somewhere you wouldn't find him.' He snapped in a low voice, leaning down so he would reach Mona's size.
Mona's snarl softened into a evil smile. She dropped the mutagen in her hand an pushed it into Leo's direction. She then ran off and Tiger Claw and Fishface went after her, then followed by the turtles. Leo grabbed the mutagen before he began to run, and everyone  was now on the hunt for Mona.
'Where is she?' Fishface growled.
Raph chuckled, sneaking up behind him.
'You won't lay a finger on her.' He demanded, pointing a sai at his neck.
Fishface smirked slyly, nodding slowly.
'I would never hit a girl.' He said in a sarcastic tone, but Raph, Mikey and Donnie were to busy fighting him off to think of some ridiculous comeback.
Mona panted, whom was now hiding in an alleyway not to far from the Shellraiser. She squeezed her eyes shut, before popping them wide open. Sweat trickled down the side of her face which she wiped of her sleeve, still trying to catch her breath. This was not how she planned on spending her Friday night. She peered round the wall to see if anyone was close by, but sighed in relief when she noticed it was jut her. She then felt a hand move round her mouth and she attempted to scream, but the shock had stopped her from doing so.
'It's just me okay? Now I'll distract Tiger Claw and you get into the Shellraiser with the others.  I'll take care of the mutagen. The coast is clear.' Leo said this all in a whisper. He let go of her and went of to find Tiger Claw. Mona scurried off on her way to the Shellraiser, but was stopped as she bumped into a large object. Tiger Claw grabbed hold of her and she began to scream loudly.
'Get your paws the hell off me, you overgrown children's toy.' She shrieked, wriggling in his hand. She screamed in pain and agony when she felt a dagger slash through her soft skin. Ugh, now her shirt was stained with blood. Leo turned his head, before turning on his heels. He inhaled heavily, slowly approaching Tiger Claw. Inside he was furious. He had enough energy to declaw the guy, but he had to keep his chill, like always.
'Let go of her.' He said calmly.
'I will, once you pass me the mutagen.'
Leo was lost. He kept looking back and forth between Mona and the neon green canned liquid in his hand. Him and his brothers had been responsible for a lot of thins, but the end of his friend he wasn't going to allow.
He dropped the mutagen and put his hands in surrender.
'Fine take it.' He kicked the mutagen, watching it roll just behind Tiger Claw's foot. Tiger Claw grinned a malicious grin, practically dropping Mona onto the floor leaving her to cry over the pain on the ground as he walked over, picking up the can and admiring it. Leo ran over to Mona, crouching down to her level to see her current state.
Fishface and the rest of the turtles were still at it.
'Hey Fishy! Mission complete.' Tiger Claw muttered walking over to the fight. Fishface retreated and stood by his colleague, smiling deviously and laughing at his opponents.
'Turtles are always considered weak animals.' He grabbed a small ball from his pocket then smashed it onto the ground causing him and Tiger Claw to disperse from the scene in seconds.
Raph growled kicking a wall in frustration.
'How did they get their hands on it? Leo!' He bellowed his brother's name, storming over to where him and Mona were.
'You idiot! You let them get away with it! And now we look like such dorks.'
Leo stood up annoyed at the way his brother accused him.
'I had no choice! He threatened to hurt Mona!'
That shut him up.
Mona winced, clutching her bloody shoulder.
'Let's just go home, before April or her aunt found out I snuck out.' She mumbled beginning to walk to the Shellraiser.
The journey was silent, everyone was too depressed to start a conversation.
Mona stared out the window in dismay then turned to Leo.
'Pull over. I'll walk from here.'
'You sure? I mean I could just-'
'I said pull over.' She snapped aggressively.
Leo sighed, before giving her a sympathetic look.
'I'm honestly so sorry about what happened tonight. God, we shouldn't have gotten you involved.'
'Don't apologise. I'm just pissed with the fact those douches actually have a hold on my uncle. My dad's brother. I just can't believe he was willing to sink so low and I can't do anything about because I'm just an ordinary fourteen year old girl who's only troubles should be about what lipstick goes with what outfit.'
Leo put a hand on her knee, staring straight into her dark green eyes.
'Don't think of yourself as that. I promise you that we'll do something about Baxter, I don't know when, but we we will, and that includes you too, it gets boring having all the glory sometimes.' He shared a small grin and his comment got him a chuckle from Mona.
'Night.'
'Night.'

Mikey grinned and nodded.
'Ooooh that time. Eesh isn't that scar huge.'
Leo rolled his eyes.
'See what I mean? And I'm not willing to go down for all of the destruction which goes down in the city we're supposed to protect. Haven't you guys realised people who are supposed to be our friends are going down as our scapegoats instead?'
Donnie scratched his head, licking his lips.
'I hear you Leo and all, but what do you plan on doing? It's daylight, and I doubt you can take out the foot clan on your own.' He argued.
Leo looked over and shrugged.
'I don't plan on taking out anyone.'
Raph laughed obnoxiously. He was still seriously sore and bruised here and there, so it was a good thing Leo didn't want to fight, because then he would have had to save him whilst he was in jeopardy blah blah blah.
'Reasoning with your ex-girlfriend will go as well as trying to get Henry VIII to go on a diet. You'll lose your head.'
He was expecting a response by now, but his brother was already out the door.

'Look. Why don't we try comprising here?' Hun stammered, pleading and scared faces showing on all of the Dragons, whom were all standing on the edge of the floor, just a few inches away from them was a swimming pool full of mutagen.
Karai chuckled, moving her hair to the side.
'We did, you get me the girl, you're rewarded, do the opposite, well, you know. By the way, I have no idea what you guys will turn into, what was the last animals you touched beside yourself?'
One member stuttered, hesitating to make any words.
'I haven't touched an animal.' He cried.
Karai giggled, leaning forward and placing herself between the gap of all four of them.
'Then this is a real surprise then.' She shoved all four at once and walked away, entering back to the front of the lair. She smiled at the screams and cries she heard at a distance. It was amusing. She placed herself on Oroku Saki's throne, staring right in front of her. She lifted her head, arching am eyebrow when she saw two foot soilders with Leonardo in their grasp. She then smiled as she stood up and strutted over.
'Leonardo, what do I owe this visit?'' Leo wriggled away from the soilders, straightening up and staring darkly at Karai.
'I don't know what you want with her, or why she seems so important to your ridiculous vendetta, but you won't dare try to hurt Mona. She got away with a sprained wrist and ankle, but we all know this isn't the first time you tried one on her. I don't want psychical confrontation, but it'll be my only choice if you threaten her life again. You know Baxter? The one working for you? You think he'll still work for you once he finds out your threatening his niece? Didn't think so. So I'll leave you with this, don't touch Mona, and if you do, I might have to do something I'll regret.' Karai stood there, grinning, watching the blue eyed hero walk off. The one thing he'll regret is thinking he could get away with that.
