Mona leaned against her locker, resting her eyes as she drowned out the corridor noise. It had been 3 days since California and she still felt like a hungover piece of burnt toast. She seriously should have bought sunscreen with her that trip. She muttered things under her breath as she turned to open her locker.
'Hey M.' Beamed a vibrant April, causing Mona to jump and squeal loudly. She turned to look at April then sighed in relief to find out it was just her. April grimaced slightly at her. She would have expected her to return to New York with a tan and highlights in her hair, instead she returned with panda eyes and a sunburnt chest.
'Wow, had fun?' She teased, chuckling.
Mona rolled her eyes discreetly as she went back to opening her locker.
'Sure.'
April raised an eyebrow, leaning against the locker behind her.
'Well, are you going to tell me what you did? How's Ivy?' The curiosity in her voice irritated Mona, but she tried to sound as less bitchy as she could.
'She's fine, and nothing special to tell. All that matters is I'm back in one piece. I'll see you later.' And with that she shoved something to the back of her locker and scurried off in the crowd, leaving April confused and sort of offended by how the conversation ended. But then she understood her situation, she did just go through a horrible break up, and she did keep something vital from her for like a month. April's eyes ventured to Mona's locker, which she happened to know the code to, seeing it did use to be hers. She bit her lip, her eyes circling around the place. She couldn't help but question if Mona was keeping something from her, and as her friend she had a right to be suspicious, and even if she did go through her locker, it was for the best, right? When did she start thinking like this?
April looked around for anyone who was near by, when the coast was clear, her fingers twiddled with the padlock. She mumbled the code to herself, then grinned once she got in. Her hand rummaged through the back, and she felt a small object in her grasp. She took it out and closed the locker, examining the thing her hand. It was a USB stick. Homework maybe? But still, she should keep with her in case it's anything important. She began to walk down, finding a place in her bag to keep it, she was stopped in her tracks by a tall blonde, then gritted her teeth as she looked up,
'April. Hi.' Exclaimed Victoria, wearing the world's most fakest smile ever. The smile which she gave inferior freshmen just so they felt like they belonged.
'Victoria.'
Victoria giggled, flipping her wavy yellow locks behind her. Ugh.
'So, have you spoken to Mona yet? Silly me of course you have! I'm guessing she told you about our fabulous time in California.' April scoffed and laughed all at once.
'You were with her in Cali?'
She nodded.
'Small world huh?' Victoria noticed the USB April held in her hand.
'Hm, guessing she decided to show you instead.' Her voice darkened, the same as her vague happy facial expression. She reached out to take it, but April dodged just in time.
'What's on here?' She demanded, staring her down.
Victoria swallowed hard, pursing her lips and narrowing her eyes.
'Nothing. Just some things are better left unsaid.' She then stormed past April before she could say anything else. Not that she had anything else to say. She shoved the stick at the bottom of her bag, and continued to walk.Mona sat on Ivy's lap, having a fit of laughter as she put down a red wine bottle beside her. Ivy grinned at her in a seductive manner, brushing her messy hair to the side.
'You sure you wanna do it?'
Mona nodded and a giggle and burp followed her response. Victoria was sat beside them, holding a lighter whilst someone bought over a pocket sized packet of a green substance inside. Ivy popped a cigarette into Mona's mouth as she took the lighter to the cigarette, then brought the packer to her mouth. She inhaled for at least five seconds, before passing it over to Victoria. She hooted, then got up, shaking vigorously.
'I am on cloud nine people. Cloud nine!' She hollered whilst she began to walk, trying to keep her balance. She was approached by a group of boys, who happened to be good friends with Ivy. Mona smirked, eyeing every one of them with a sinister look on her face.
'Now now, there's only one of me and three of you, so why don't I be generous here, and share you with my fellow friends.' She slurred gesturing Victoria and Ivy to walk over. Mona grabbed one by the collar of his shirt, dragging him away from the crowd. He was a good looking boy, two years older than Mona and way taller. He had olive skin, and luminous green eyes like hers, he had a bold body frame, and short wavy hair, split in the middle, and pushed back.
'Well aren't you going to tell me your name?'
'Shut up.' She mumbled, as she moved her mouth to his, cupping his face with her hands and his arms round her lower waist. April fast forwarded the video, frames of Mon Victoria and Ivy smoking, making out with everyone and partying like lunatics flashing on her computer screen. She stopped the video and removed the USB stick from her laptop, leaving her and the turtles mortified.
'I can't believe Mona would stoop so low.' April stammered, wiping away sweat from her neck.
'It's all my fault.' Raph grunted moving his eyes to the corner of the room.
Casey sat beside April, running a hand through his hair.
'Look, all we know is that no way can anyone see this, especially Leo. And we have to get him to talk to her. Where is he now?' His question was aimed for the turtles.
'Training. And how can Leo talk to her if he doesn't know the situation?' Donnie questioned, mentally shaking his head at Casey because of his stupidity.
Casey got up once he saw Leo enter the room.
'Leo! What's up?!' He walked over then patted his shoulder.
'Ermm okay.'
Casey sighed, biting his lip before continuing to talk.
'Look. We have am issue. With Mona. We think that something happened in California, and she's keeping it from us. Think you can talk to her?' He pleaded, his voice going higher and his face shining with hope.
Leo scoffed, sitting in front of the sofa.
'Why me?' Of course he knew why him, he just wanted to hear the answer from someone else.
April shrugged, shutting down her laptop.
'Well, she trusts you more than she does us.'
Raph has the urge to just walk off, but he knew he needed to hear this.
'Well depends, is Raph okay with it?' He asked, smiling at himself.
'Who cares? It's not like him and Mona are dating anymore.' Mikey scoffed, earning himself a wack round the head from his older brother.
'Okay fine, I'll talk to her.' He waved everyone peace and headed off.
'Who else has a bad feeling about this?' Casey asked. 4 arms rose in the air.
