'I'm. So. Bored!' Mikey grunted loudly, rolling around on the sun bed.
Raph snorted, rolling his eyes as he watched Times Square still in action.
'You're also wasted. Sensei is going to keel you.'
'Not unless Karai gets there first.' Leo remarked, receiving questioning stares from his brothers after he said this. He decided not to take notice of them, not taking his eyes of Stark Tower.
'We've been here for like thirty five minutes. Dee should have called us by now.'
He heard his phone ring inside his belt, blinking repeatedly as he picked up.
'I stand corrected.'
'Leo!'
Leo went into panic mode, pacing up and down round the fountain.
'What? Where are you?'
'It didn't work. I thought I could have fooled her b-but..'
'But what?!'
'Vic's working for her. She already used the toxin on her and she's about to get the tower into motion. We got set up.'
'Okay okay okay. Where are you?'
'On the rooftop. Hurry!'
She hung up, having the final word.
Star struck, Leo turned his brothers, instructing them without saying a word. Donnie and Raph followed along, the three of them opening their parachutes and soaring from the rooftops. Mikey got up, reluctantly trudging along and doing the same. He cackled uncontrollably on his way down, waving his hands around carelessly.
'Wheee!'
***
Mikey gasped for air, nearly collapsing to the floor due to breathlessness.
He held onto to Donnie for support as he attempted to catch his breath again.
'Man I should stop eating pizza.'
'Ya think?'
Donnie's gazed moved from Mikey to the tower in front, his jaw dropping in awe.
'It's beautiful.'
'Mo's dad's like Iron Man. Just without being an actual super her-whoa!' Mikey lost balance when he was tossed to the side. Donnie went over to the tower, beginning to caress it.
'It's state of the art. This thing can easily add an element to the oxygen we breathe. I need me one of these.'
'Do you know what else we need? To find Dakota and Karai!' Leo retorted. Donnie yelped, grabbing his arm when something hit it. He slightly moved his head, only being able to see Leo from the corner of his eyes.
'Leo! What was that ff-ooh. I'm tired.' A yawn escaped from his before he went out like a light.'
Mikey looked at who was at the doorway to see a revenant Dakota stood there, her eyes reading anything but helpless. She moved the dart gun to the belt of her costume, beside the toxin. Raph pointed at it, lost for words which were innocent.
'She has it!'
The three turtles still standing bolted towards her, however she fought them off like boogers. Raph and Leo piled on top of each other, wincing in pain. Dakota dashed to the other end of the roof, making her way to the tower.
Mikey went after her, using his nunchucks simultaneously to reel in the toxin from her waist.
'Cowabunga!'
He noticed how his nunchucks would stopped and be began to be dragged at his weapon by Karai whom was hiding behind the tower as well as Victoria.
Mikey desperately tried to get a hold of his nunchucks whilst stood in place.
'Guys! A little help here?'
Raph and Leo got back onto their feet, still mildly sore.
'This toxin turn Dee into some samurai? It's kinda hot.'
'Just go!'
The two girls launched at one of the brothers as Mikey tried to prevent Dee from being able to get any closer to the tower. Karai's blade jammed into Leo's waist and a smile creeped on to her lips when she caused him pain on top of that.
'Why..are you doing this Karai?' Leo asked in between the combat.
Karai kicked him in the stomach, causing him to stumble back, giving her am advantage and caught him off guard.
'Because. I like being in power. As you can see I'm sort of lazy.' She bellowed followed by a loud grunt as she finally got Leo to fall to his feet.
'You should never interfere with a girl's intentions, Leonardo. You would think you'd learn something from that girlfriend of yours. I'll leave you ladies to it.'
She grabbed a ninja bomb from her the inside of her skin tight leather suit, throwing it onto the ground and no longer being seen. Raph looked over at Leo, whom was practically swimming in his own blood, pouring gradually from his waist.
'Leo! I have an idea. Mikey! Get the antidote from Donnie.'
'O-okay!' He turned away from Dakota, basically allowing her to continue with the plan. He grabbed the canister, waving it into the air.
'Smash it!'
'Wait? What?'
'I said, smash it you dork.'
Mikey squealed, dropping it just beside Donnie and blocked his face when shards flew everywhere.
Dakota staggered, coughing wildly, so did Victoria. Slowly, their eyes transferred back to their original colours as well as their skin.
Mikey and Raph watched whilst they stood by Donnie and Leo.
Dakota slumped to the floor, leaning against the leg of the tower.
'W-w-where am I?'
'What happened?'
Dakota looked at the turtles, hurtling over to them and crouching by Donnie.
'I didn't do this, did I?'
Mikey shrugged, thinking of how to sugar coat things.
'Well...'
'Yes, yes you did. But we saved you.'
Victoria had left the scene, loaded with questions but she knew some things were better left unsaid.
Dakota switched to Leo, traumatised at the state he was in. She pressed a finger tip where the blood stained before backing away.
'God. This is awful. How's Mona going to this?'
'She won't. All you have to do is take Donnie and Leo home. Mikey and I will deal with Mona.'
Leo's eyes fluttered as he sat up wearily, rubbing his waist where the gash was now tattooed.
'No, I'll go.'
'Yeah me too.' Donnie quickly implied, shooting upwards. He gave Dakota an irritated look before turning away.
'You are cruel.'
Dakota gave in, raising a hand in guilt.
'My bad. I didn't mean for anything of this to happen guys. Seriously.'
Mikey sighed as a melancholy chill travelled down his spine.
'Could have been worse. Karai could have gotten away with it. Rather have you and Vic be her minions than the whole city.'
Dakota sat crossed legged, facing the Empire State Building.
'Imagine us three on the same real team. It would be hallowe'en for anyone that gets in our way.'
