April had probably spent most of study hall examining Dakota from a distance. She furrowed her eyebrows together as she took notice of her tiresome appearance. Her hair was a mess, and her blue eyes didn't sparkle as they always did. Oh, and she wasn't wearing her favourite royal blue bow to match her cheerleading uniform.
'Poor girl.' She muttered, shaking her head in disappointment. Casey looked over to April, arching an eyebrow.
'What are you talking about?' He scoffed at her. He then saw who April's attention was fixed on, and he let out a sigh.
'Give her a break already. She just has....stuff going on.' He mumbled, only loud enough for April to hear. April's eyes widened and turned to Casey in curiousity.
'What do you know?' She asked, her voice stern and sort of intimidating. Casey bit down on his lip, his eyes moving around the room.
Shit.
'Depends on what you know.'
'We could know the same thing.'
'I feel like we do.'
They gave each other funny looks for a brief moment, finally being able to see through each other.
'Well, you know what her and Raph did was wrong, right?'
'Right, but that doesn't mean that she has to be treated like crap because of it.' Casey argued. April scoffed, folding her arms.
'You make it sound as if she's still innocent. Talk about sleeping with the enemy.'
'Ha!' Casey bellowed in disbelief, soon all eyes were on him for a moment. He waited for him to no longer be the centre of attention, before returning to his conversation.
'That's funny. But seriously, don't you think that may be a little over the top?'
April huffed, tucking a strand of her ginger hair behind her ear.
'You may still be holding this may I say ridiculous grudge against her, but deep down inside, you still care about her.'
April sat there in silence, the defeat beginning to show in her face. The bell for last period rang, and everyone was up at their feet leaving the room.
April began to walk off, but Casey went after her.
'So, I'll be seeing you at Cindy's later tonight?'
April shook her head, still walking,
'Nope, but Dakota will be there, maybe you can talk about the concept of betrayal and loyalty with her whilst you drown your sorrows in alcohol and teen sweat. See you Monday, Jones.' She waved him a farewell, before she dispersed into the crowd.

Dakota wondered the luxurious apartment of Cindy Millington, before flopping onto the white couch behind her. Her head swirled with both dark and happy thoughts, her whole life flashing before her eyes, one of the many affects when she partied. She knew Casey was look for her but managed to escape him. She came here to have fun, not be babysat. Fun. The first image that came to mind was Raphael when she heard fun. She missed him. She rolled onto the floor, taking her phone out her bra. She dialled Raph's number, and put the phone between her shoulder and ear. It went to voicemail and she a slurred giggled rolled of her tongue.
'Heyyy Raphie. How ya doinnnn, I know deep deep deeeep down your cold heart you miss me, oh! And i bought a special pair of underwear with your name on it. I wanna be with youu, and and and i think we should just get away from everyone, Raphie. How does that sound Raphie? You and mee? Together forever!!' She hung up, putting her phone back in her bra, and getting up. She stood unsteadily, and noticed the looks she was receiving. She was too wasted to even defend herself. Another mixture of thoughts shot into her mind. She clutched her stomach, making her way to the bathroom. She shoved past people and was stopped by Harry Underwood. He was a lanky senior, with olive skin, glimmering hazel eyes, rustic facial features, and messy brown hair. He grinned at Dakota, eyeing her up and down. She happened to be a revealing outfit, she was wearing a black bandeau top, and an aztec black and blue mini skirt. She was wearing her hair loose, which she never often did since she wore it in a ponytail for school all the time.
'Hey lady.' He greeted, flashing a creepy smile at her.
Dakota looked up at him, confused. She looked very vulnerable at this moment..
'Now, I'm assuming that you have had enough of this party, so why don't you and I start our own?' He mumbled this in her ear, his breath stinking of alcohol, leaning an arm against the doorframe.
Dakota pulled a face in disgust, moving her head backwards.
'I'm known to be a party pooper.' She slurred, before shoving past him and walking away. She felt him grab onto her waist, his grip on her tightening.
'Get off me!' She shrieked. Harry just smirked evilly at her, his arm still round her.
'Hey.' Was a mystery voice behind Harry. He turned around, to receive a fearsome blow to his right cheek, he moved himself away from Dakota, holding his cheek with both hands in agaony. Casey grabbed Dakota, putting his jacket on her.
'I'm taking you home.' He mumbled, moving through the crowd, to get outside. Shocked snd confused faces feeled the room, and questions were being shouted at at Dakota and Harry. Dakota simply stayed quiet, and was relieved to have been outside. She stopped walking, pulling a horrid face.
'Casey, I don't feel so good.' She turned, and vomited in the bush behind her. Casey tired to shut out the retched noise, but the smell was disgusting. He held her hair back, as she hurled, feeling like throwing up himself. Dakota groaned, as she lifted her head back.
'Sorry.' She muttered.
'It's fine, let's just not talk about it.' Casey guided her to his car, closing the door behind her. He moved himself to the driver's seat.
The entire journey was in silence, the conversations began when they arrived at Dakota's apartment. Dakota laid on the couch, downing an entire bottle of water.
'What happened?' Casey finally asked.
'Harry tried to hook up with me but I rejected him.'
'Little bastard.' Casey grumbled. There was a little silence after this.
'What's wrong with me?' Dakota questioned not only Casey but herself.
'Nothing is wrong with you. You made a mistake and-'
'Wait, Raph told you?' Dakota sat up, her eyes widening as she looked at Casey. Casey nodded, propping himself on the armchair next to the couch.
'As I was saying you made a mistake. We all know you know better.'
'I That's the thing. I don't know better. And it wasn't a mistake. The first time, yes, that was, but the second time, that was real. There was something there. And as much as it aches for me to admit, that night couldn't have gone better in any other way. Around Raph,it just feels, safter, happier with him next to me, even when he's with Mona. And no matter how much I drink, or how hard I party, I can't get rid of these feelings, and that just makes everything with Mona so much harder.' She closed her eyes, and tears trickled down her cheeks.
'I just don't understand why when I want to be happy, I just end up hurting myself or others.'
Casey looked at her in awe, shocked at what he was experiencing. then moved next to her. He pulled her into am embrace, letting her cry in his arms. She had never felt so vulnerable before. She liked it and disliked it at the same time. All she wanted was to be able to open to someone without being judged, and Casey happened to be that person who would listen. But this didn't make her any less guilty, or any less innocent.
