Chapter 23: Seiya pov

I put on my most friendly smile and accepted everyone's birthday wishes. Some people introduced themselves and I immediately forgot their names but I knew Taiki would remember them all. I eventually got through the crowd of people. I sighed already tired and ready to go home.

I made my way to the food table to where there was an assortment of foods and desserts like vegan and non vegan cupcakes sitting on a tower tray. They had star sprinkles on it, along with mini sandwiches held together by toothpicks. I stood there debating what to get and decided on a cupcake. I took one and swiped the icing off with my finger and put it in my mouth, when all of a sudden I felt someone hugging me tightly.

I turned around to be greeted with blonde hair and aquamarine blue eyes.

"Serena!" I said with a smile on my face as I hugged the short Blonde girl.

"Happy birthday Seiya!" She said as she let go of me.

"Thanks did you just get here?"

"No we got here at the end of your speech on stage. The others are scattered around somewhere." She said gesturing around and I noticed her out fit for the first time. She was wearing a long white flowing dress with her two long ponytails with a small crown on her head.

"Serena.... Please tell me that's not your princess form." I stated recognizing the look. The last time I saw her dressed like this was 8 years ago and me and Taiki and Yaten and her were fighting for our lives and was trying to save the universe. Let me tell you that battle was hard won and a lot of lives were lost, including our friends, but everything worked out in the end.

"It's okay no one knows what I really am so it the perfect costume. The others are in their sailor forms for their costumes." Serena replied giggling and reached for a cupcake.

I smiled and shook my head at her. She never seems to change and always stays true to herself.

"Come on let's go see everyone else." I replied laughing as I linked my arms through hers and we walked into the crowd.

I was in the middle of the dance floor laughing and dancing with my friends when I thought I saw a familiar face looking at me the direction of the bathroom. I tried to get a better look as I bobbed my head to see past the people who were in the way. When the figure saw me looking at them they turned and stepped in the bathroom.

"I'll be right back." I replied to Serena and the others as I headed to the bathroom. I stepped inside and walked deeper into the bathroom. I turned around a tiled wall that separated one set of stalls to see the figure leaning against the back wall. "What are you doing here?" I asked as anger filled my tone and my hands balled into fists.

"I had to see you and you won't answer any of my calls." The figure said as they pulled down their hood to real black hair and a boyish smile with dark blue eyes. Darker than even mine is.

"Yeah that was a hint Terra. As in I don't want to talk to you and the balled up invitation was my way of uninviting you!" I snapped at her.

"I know you're upset. I just want to talk-"

"Talk?! Talk?! Oh nows a good time talk! Are you gonna tell me some lie about what I saw was a mistake or some shit!" I said walking up to her and poking her in the chest with my finger as I let all my anger and hurt out on her. "Was that all a lie Terra? Saying that you really liked me and that I should have given you a chance! Was I joke to you?! Am I getting payback because I didn't have sex with you?!" I accused shakily.

The last little bit of cool I had to get me through this party gone in an instant.

"What?! No! I swear this has nothing to do with that!" She said laying a hand on my arm and I flinched away.
