Chapter 52: Ruby pov

I just finished buttoning my shirt as I as I walked out the closet. Today was our baby shower and gender reveal. In an hour all our friends would be arriving. I brushed my bangs to the side of my face before looking in the mirror. When I was satisfied with my look ,I grabbed my phone off the bed and went downstairs. I smiled seeing my wife sitting outside in the back yard as she was talking to her sisters who came by to help decorate.

I pulled open the sliding door and walked out with Ru and Charlie following behind me. I kissed my girl on the cheek before sitting down next to her. She smiled at me happily and lifted Chance who was napping in her lap and passed her onto me where Chance licked me, in greeting.

Seiya leaned closer to me and continued talking to Taiki and Yaten. Seiya was wearing a long blue flowery sundress that was flowing around her ankles. The dress hugging her belly loosely.  Her hair hanging loose on one side of her shoulder.

I laid my hand over hers with one hand and rubbed behind Chance's ears as she lounged in my lap. Ru came and sat by Seiya's feet that were adorned in sandals, as Charlie mischievously ran behind Taiki , nipping at her heels playfully as she went from table to table.

After a while of chatting with them  Morgan and Riwa arrived with baby Katie, and before long the back yard was full of guests.
Everyone sat around chatting, eating and playing baby games. One of the games was People were measuring how big Seiya's belly was to guess how big she was and baby bingo. Of course I wasn't allowed to play them being one of the hosts but it was fun watching the others try to win prizes.

My friends were talking to Seiya , who was blushing. Looked like they were joking about how small she was for someone having twins. "Looks like you have to go save you wife." Vin said next to me, while holding his daughter in his arms who looked around with curious ,innocent eyes. I smiled at the little girl, knowing I would soon have a little girl of my own.

I looked over at my wife, looking her over carefully. "You think so?" I asked Vin. My babe looked okay to me. She was only 7 months though.

"She looks uncomfortable to me, but I could be wrong." He said and chuckled.

"Okay I'll be right back." I tell him walking over to my wife and friends.

"Your little ones are gonna be small. You're barely showing." I heard Riwa say teasingly as she held Katie.

"Really? I feel like I'm huge." Seiya replied, making the others laugh , though I could tell from her voice she was entirely serious.

"Hey guys what I miss over here?" I say stopping by my wife and wrapping an arm around her waist.

"Ruby have you been feeding her, she's so tiny." Morgan replied laughing.

"Of Course I do. I let have whatever she wants." I say hugging her closer to me pretending to be offended.

"We're just teasing Ruby. She looks great and I love that dress." Nina said smiling as she looked over Seiya outfit.

"Thank you. My sister bought it for me." She replied smiling.

"She has some the best taste in clothes." Riwa complimented.

"Yeah she does. Excuse me, I have to go to the bathroom." Seiya said smiling politely, stepping out of my arms and I watched her head back towards the house.

"We didn't upset her did we? We were only teasing a little." Morgan said sounding apologetic as she watched Seiya walk away.

"No she's okay. She has to go to the bathroom a lot these days." I say but continued to look in the direction she left.
