Love like never before

Chapter 40: Third POV

Ruby was standing under an archway made with red and white roses. A figure in a white wedding dress was standing in front of her , her face covered by a white veil. She could see other guest watching from the seats with teary smiles on their faces. Ruby heard her voice say "I do."

"You may kiss the bride." The minister said. She felt herself smile and lift up the bridal veil expecting to see Seiya's beautiful face but instead she was looking at Jessica's face.

Ruby jolted awake with her heart hammering in her chest. Her forehead was covered in a light sheen of sweat and her dogs shifted around her in various stages of sleep.

Her along with the others were staying in the hotel close by the venue where the wedding was being held. It was going to be at some famous country club with a beautiful garden in the back. She reached to the dresser and grabbed her phone. She stared at it debating for a minute before she called the number and put it to her ear, waiting.

In another room of the hotel Seiya was fast asleep until she heard her phone ringing. She sat up and felt for the mask covering her face that Yaten insisted she wear for some reason, and cursed as she struggled to push it up off her face as she reached for her phone. She squinted at the screen , seeing Ruby's name popped up.

"Hey." She said groggily into the phone.

"Hey sorry to wake you. I just had to hear your voice." Ruby replied softly.

"Oh it's fine. I was kinda in and out of sleep anyway. Are you okay?" Seiya asked concerned.

"Yeah I just had a bad dream ." She said laying her hand on her forehead, feeling childish for waking her up, but she wanted to hear her voice to reassure her that it was just a dream,as that dream had disturbed her pretty badly.

"You wanna talk about it?" Seiya asked Ruby as she laid back down and closed her eyes.

"No not really. I'm starting to forget it anyway." She lied

"Well here I'll get rid of the bad dream with a kiss." Seiya joked and blew a kiss into the phone , making Ruby laugh and Ru woke up looking at Ruby curiously before yawning and going back to sleep next to her mistress.

"Well thank you. I feel much better." Ruby said grinning even though Seiya couldn't see her.

"Glad I could help." Seiya quipped and snuggled under her covers.

"I miss you so much." Ruby admitted and rubbed Ru's head.

"I know I miss you too, but you will see me in a few hours. Then I won't ever leave your side." Seiya joked with a laugh but the thought only made Ruby smile more. She couldn't wait.

"Promise?"

"Promise." Seiya said and the two talked until they both fell back asleep.
