Chapter 50: Ruby PoV

3 months later

We were on our way to the doctors for a sonogram of the baby. I was so excited to see how much the baby had grown. Though we were almost late:

Flashback:

I had just finished getting my shoes on when Seiya called me into our closet. When I got there I stood there surprised to see Seiya sitting on the floor in her under clothes with tears coming down her eyes.

"Baby what's wrong?" I asked her alarmed ,leaning down and wiping her tears from her cheeks.

"I cant find anything to wear." She sobbed out and buried her face in my chest and I rubbed her back calmingly. Taiki and Yaten had warned me that she would be more emotionally sensitive but this was unexpected.
She hadn't really been difficult until now.

"You can wear something of mine. Don't cry." I tell her kissing her head , and pulled her up while I looked at the rack of clothes, I rubbed my hand over her growing belly in a soothing motion until I found a shirt. I pulled out a black T-shirt with a faded rose on it and held it out to her.

"What about pants?" She asked, rubbing at her eyes.

"Well I don't think you can fit any of my pants but some tights should work."

"Okay I think I have some." She said and pulled out a pair of black tights from a draw before turning back to me. She leaned forward and kissed me. I kissed her back for a minute before pulling away.

"Get dressed love. Then afterwards we can go buy some clothes and get some food. How does that sound." I asked her with a smile noticing the sad look on her face from me pulling away from the kiss. Her frown quickly changed into a smile.

"You had me at food." She said with a giggle as she slipped the T-shirt over her head. I laughed as I walked out the closet letting her get dressed. These days she was always wanting to eat something, which I guess is normal from what I've read in the pregnancy books.

"Okay I'm ready now." Seiya said coming out of the closet dressed and was tying her hair up into a bun on top of her head. She wore it like that a lot lately because it irritated her being down. 

"Okay let's go." I say holding her hand and leading us out the door.

End flashback

We pulled up to the doctors and I turned the car off and I turned to Seiya who was looking out the passenger windows with her hand laid on her belly. I reached over and touched her cheek softly, drawing her attention.

There's a saying that pregnant women have a glow about them. Well she definitely had a glow to her, like being pregnant made her more beautiful and there was a glow in her eyes. Though if you ask her she would say otherwise.

"It's okay love. It's just a check up to make sure the baby is growing healthy." I reassure her and kissed her cheek.

"I know. I'm just always nervous around doctors." She explained.

"Don't worry baby I'll protect you." I joked winking at her and she smirked at me.

"I know."

"You ready?" I asked her and she nodded.

"Let's go."

We both got out the car and held her hand as we went inside and signed in.
We waited about 30minutes before we were called back. The doctor asked Seiya to sit on the bed and I stood by her, holding her hand.

"Are you first time parents?" She asked us and Seiya and me looked at each other and I spoke.

"Yes is it that obvious?" I say with a small laugh.
