Chapter 10: Ruby POV

I woke up with the sun shining on my face. I opened my eyes and was confused of my surroundings at first. Then I remembered where I was and whose bed I was in. I turned my head to see Seiya with her hand tucked up under her head asleep. Her hair was sprawled around her , covering her like a curtain. I laid there and smiled to myself while admiring how cute she was sleeping. Almost like a kitten or a baby..... I chuckled quietly at the thought of her like a kitten. If anything she would be a panther , at least when she's awake. I reached over and brushed her hair away from her face before I got up as quietly as I could and walked away. As I was heading to the door, Ru came running up to me from the dog bed. She barked and wagged her tail excitedly. I put my fingers to my mouth hushing her,then picked her up and opened Seiyas bedroom door all the while Ru was licking my face. I could smell something being cooked so I headed downstairs, following the yummy smell.

I stepped into the kitchen to see Taiki at the stove cooking, while Yaten was sitting at the island table drinking tea.

"Good morning Ruby. Did you sleep well?" Taiki asked smiling at me , while she cooked. I smiled as I sat in the chair next to Yaten with Ru still in my arms.

"Yes I did. Thank you." I said smiling as I pet Ru in my arms. Yaten smirked at me after sipping her tea again.

"Hmm I bet especially since you got to sleep next to your lover again. Also since there's no marks on you; it must have been a boring night." She states snort-laughing, while I blushed.

"Knock it off Yaten." Taiki said sighing as she sat a water bottle and a cup of tea in front of me. "I'll have your breakfast ready in a few minutes Ruby." Taiki told me turning back to the counter.

"Thanks" I mumbled sipping my tea. "Wow this tea is amazing. What kind is it?" I ask drinking more.

"It's a Japanese herbal tea. It's made from all natural herbs and plants and berries. The berries is what gives it a lightly sweet taste." Taiki explained.

"Well it's amazing. I'll have to get some."

"We have it imported here from Japan and it's pretty expensive. I'll order you some along with ours. We getting low anyway." Taiki told me and I smiled.

"Thanks I appreciate it."

"No problem."

"So how was you guys drive last night? You both came back....tense." Yaten asked looking at her nails.

"You don't have to answer that Ruby, and Yaten that's their business. Stay out of it." Taiki said  sitting a plate in front of me. It contained spinach leaves with a dressing on top and pasta on the side, with fruit on the side .

"Sorry if it's not a typical breakfast. Still learning vegan recipes."
Taiki states sheepishly.

"No problem I had pasta for breakfast, lunch and dinner a few weeks ago because it's was the only thing I could eat while on a job." I told her laughing as I took a bite of food.

"I remember seeing your Instagram story about that." Yaten stated laughing at me and I smiled.

"Seriously what happened last night?" Yaten asked me curiously. I finished chewing the bite I had before speaking. "We talked mostly. You guys were right she thought that Jessica and me was a thing. I would never go back to her. I only want her." I told them ,biting my lip. I still couldn't believe Seiya thought that or that Jessica didn't say anything about her visit. I was definitely gonna find out about that part. Did she do that on purpose?

"Please excuse Seiya's insecurities. This is all new to her. We didn't really have to deal with this type of stuff on our planet." Taiki explained and I nodded, still in thought.
