Chapter 12: Seiya POV

I can't believe I almost kissed her...... I thought to myself as I closed my bedroom door.
I grabbed my controller and turned on my tv to Netflix, knowing the others would be up here soon. I shook my head at myself again as I went to the picture of Stranger Things and left it there.
I don't know how I was gonna avoid her like this. I mean we both wanted each other.

I wonder if she feels that same electric feeling that I do whenever we touch or is even close to each other?..... I shook my head again for even thinking about that. I'm so screwed .....

Suddenly there was a knock on my door . I quickly grabbed my controller like I was still looking for the show.

"Come in." I told them, staring at the tv. I heard the door open and saw out the corner of my eyes the three of them come in. I frowned slightly noticing that Yaten and Ruby' had their arms linked together and it looked like they were enjoying some joke as they laughed. What was so funny? I watched as they sat down and Taiki sat next to me this time. I leaned towards her and asked lowly.

"What are they laughing about?" I asked and Taiki just shrugged.

"No idea. Why not ask them?" Taiki said looking at me.

"Never mind." I say starting the show and I heard Taiki sigh ,exasperated next to me. I mentally shook my head at my self. Look at me. Am I actually jealous of Yaten because she can touch ruby like that and I can't with out wanting to tackle her to the ground?..... I have got to get a grip on myself or I won't last a Day with this friendship thing. I'll just have to keep my distance,but not to the point where I'm avoiding her.. I think sighing to myself.

Ruby POV:

There had to be a way to get her to change her mind..... I thought to myself as I walked into Seiya's room with Yaten's arm linked with mine . Yaten said a comment that made me laugh. As we sat down ,I saw Seiya look up at us and frowned before looking away.
What was that about?

As we started watching Stranger Things I practically watched the show with one eye while watching her with the other. I could see her eyes shift over to mine every now and then , but for the most part,she avoided me.
Was this all because of what happened earlier? I know we agreed to be friends but I thought she would understood it wouldn't be that easy. Or is it something else? I really need to talk to her.

When the current episode went off we took a break for snacks and drinks.

"I'm gonna find something for lunch maybe we could order something?" Seiya stated ,standing up and stretching.

"Yeah that works , let's try this Ubereats thing I heard about."  Yaten said and pulled out her phone, looking for something to order ,I assumed.

"Ok great. Meanwhile I'll get snacks for us to snack on." Seiya said heading for her door.

"Wait let me help you." I said quickly and followed behind after her. We were both silent as we headed to the kitchen ,from being here so much I knew my way around their kitchen and I headed to the pantry and grabbed crackers, popcorn, and water for us, while Seiya looked in the refrigerator. I sat the stuff on the counter and looked at her for a minute before speaking.

"So what's going on?" I asked suddenly.

Seiya paused what she was doing and looked at me slowly.

"I don't know what you mean? Nothings going on." She stated her voice smooth and calm, her eyes wide. And that alone told me that she was lying. I went up to her and she took a step back.

"Stop lying to me please. You avoided me all upstairs. I thought we was passed  all this." I said my voice turning hard at the end. It hurts to think of her avoiding me again after all the progress we made.

Seiya straightened up and closed the refrigerator door, before looking at me.

""Honestly Ruby what are you talking about? I'm not avoiding you." She stated trying to sound sincere, but her eyes were a little to hard, to weary to be believable.

"Right so the silent treatment isn't a way of ignoring me? Yeah ok." I scoff and rolled my eyes. Seiya turned towards me more and crossed her arms and sighed. I copied her stance and raised my eyebrow at her waiting.

"I think you would know if I was ignoring you." She replied with a snide tone.

"Don't play with me Seiya ,that would be a bad idea." I say and stepped closer to her.

And just like that the air shifted and I could feel that electric current in the air again. I could see the exact  moment her body tensed up, with mine mirroring hers. Only difference was my senses got heightened, like I was a wild animal stalking her prey. I could smell her vanilla and Rose scent even more than normal coming off her and leaving me a little dazed. In a way it was proof that she was in front of me and I wasn't dreaming her up like I did the first the few weeks of our breakup.

I'll even admit to finding one of her shirts  at my house, and me sleeping in it when I miss her most. Yeah I could give it back now, but I didn't want to. It's not like we're together like before, like how I want us to be. Also it was a memento for me just in case we never get back to that point. So in other words that shirt is mine now.

I could hear Seiya breathing deeply,almost  matching mine. I took another step closer to her and could feel her breath blowing against my face in a soft caress. Seiya took another step back and jumped slightly when her back pressed lightly against the refrigerator. I smirked mentally , amused..... no where to run now.... I took one final step forward until I was pressed lightly against her. We were so close that not even the smallest of light could pass through. I heard Seiya gasp and her eyes dilated, but from what I have no idea. I might regret what I'm about to do but oh well. I put my hand to her chin and leaned forward to kiss her.

"Hey guys so I ordered-." We both froze instantly when we heard Yaten's voice and looked to see her staring at us in shock. I leaned away a bit and Seiya slid from between me and the refrigerator and went to the island counter, grabbing the snacks I put there.

"So you ordered what Yaten?" Seiya asked looking down as she gathered the stuff in her hands. I looked over at Yaten as I leaned casually against the refrigerator and crossed my arms, trying to ignore how fast my heart was beating and how tingly my body was feeling from being close to her. Yaten blinked a few times before remembering her train of thought.

"Oh I was saying that I ordered some food from some place called Healthy Eats. They have a wide selection of healthy Authentic food, including vegan." Yaten finished looking between us.

"Great sounds good." Seiya said quickly gathering the snacks and water bottles in her hand before walking out the kitchen. Yaten looked at me with some shock still on her face with a bit of confusion.

"What was that? And did I fuck it up by coming in here?" she asked raising an eyebrow.

I just sighed and shook my head, running my fingers through my hair. I barely understood what that was, so there was no way I could explain it to her.

"....No idea Yaten, no idea at all."
