Chapter 46:Ruby pov

3 years later

"Wow she's getting so big." I say holding the 4 month year old baby girl in my arms and she smiled toothlessly at me and cooed.

"Yes I know it and she's so smart too for her age." Morgan said as she sat next to Riwa on the couch opposite me.

"I bet." I say as I smiled at the baby and held her to me. Her little hand pressed against my cheek.

"So when are you guys having your own little baby Ruby?" Morgan asked running her fingers in her hair.

I looked down as I rubbed the baby's back. "I'm not sure really. I don't think she wants one." I say.

"Have you talked about it with her? Maybe she's looking to you to decide." Riwa says.

"I haven't mentioned children since we first started dating. She probably doesn't even remember that conversation." I say with a forced laugh.

"I would ask her again Rubes especially if it's something you want." Morgan replied and I bit my lip nodding. I sat there and talked with for a while, before heading home.

On the drive home I thought about what I should say to Seiya. To be honest I wanted a baby for a least a year now,actually since we got married but I knew she wouldn't be ready for that. When Riwa and Morgan adopted Katie; I was so happy for them but also sad. I was hoping when Seiya saw the beautiful baby girl, she would want one of her own but it seemed to have the opposite affect. Though I guess I shouldn't be surprised, Seiya hardly responds the way I think she would.

I guess I should just spit it out. That's the only way I can think of.

I parked my car in the drive way and headed inside to the kitchen to make something for dinner since it was my my week to cook. I decided on a vegan pasta dish with a salad.

While I cooked, I thought about what it would be like if there was a baby in the house and I couldn't help but smile. The perfect combination of me and Seiya. If she said yes maybe we could do insemination or invitro. I would love for it to have my genes.

I had just finished up when I heard the front door open and a minute later Seiya walked into the kitchen.

"Well something smells delicious." Seiya said as she came by me and I gave her a kiss on the lips.

"It' is delicious, so I hope you're hungry." I say making her a plate .

"Starved actually." She said with a laugh as she sat at the island table and took off her jacket , and laid it one the back of the chair.

"What? You didn't eat anything while shopping?" I asked sitting our plates down.

"Does a pretzel count ?" Seiya asked laughing at her and I smiled.

Seiya had been forced, to go shopping with Yaten and Taiki. I would have been dragged too but I had went to see Morgan and Riwa so I dodged that bullet.

"I'll bring you with me next time to save you, how's that?" I say laughing as I took a bite of food.

"Please do my love." Seiya replied ,fake pouting, making me laugh again.

"So how was it?" She asked eating her own food.

"Great. We mostly talked and Katie is getting so big now." I hinted to see her reaction.

"I'll have to bring her a toy or something when I come." Seiya said with a small smile.

"Well she is still a baby so she can't play with to many." I say.

"True but she can have little baby proof ones right? Like a rattle or something?" Seiya asked and I smiled, nodding.

After that it got quiet as we finished up our food. I was trying to figure out a good way to bring up the topic of us having one, but it was harder than it looked.

"That was delicious Ruby, thank you." Seiya said taking a sip of her drink. I winked at her.

"Anytime love." I said putting a smile on her face. Seiya reached for my hand, holding it in hers.

"I'll make it up to you later." She replied throwing a seductive smile my way and I smirked.

"Promise?" I asked raising my eyebrow playfully. Seiya winked and bit her bottom lip.

"Always."

"I'm gonna hold you to that ." I say with a laugh, looking down at my plate.

"Babe are you okay? You've been quiet at dinner. What's wrong?" She asked and I looked at her concerned face and back down at my empty plate. I guess it's now or never.

"Actually I want to talk to you about something." I say turning in my chair to look at her head on.

"Ok what is it? You can tell me anything." Seiya said.

"Do you remember a few years back when we were first dating and I asked you do you want kids?" I asked her and Seiya nodded slowly, her face making a confused expression.

"Yes I remember. What about it?" She asked.

"Well I was wondering how you feel about that now?" I asked hesitantly.

"It's....still the same I believe." She replied.

"Well you're with the person you're going to spend the rest of your life with so...would you want a family with me?" I ask.

"Yes of course. Why wouldn't I?" She asked looking confused.

"Well you never say anything about it." I pointed out and Seiya slowly shook her head and shrugged.

"I didn't know I was supposed to but what does that got to do with anything?"

I sighed shaking my head she wasn't getting it. "Well that's just it Seiya . That's what I want." I blurt out.

"You mean?...." Seiya paused and I leaned forward and squeezed her hand.

"Seiya I want us to have a baby."

Seiya pov

A baby?! My mind went blank from the shock of it. She wants a baby with me?! I guess it shouldn't be such a surprise given this isn't first time she asked about having children.

But what about her career? And mine? I'm supposed to be organizing a concert tour in a few months. How am I supposed to do that and have a baby? And when she say US ,does she mean her carry it? Or me? I'll admit the thought of a little Ruby running around the house sounded like the cutest thing on earth. But is now really a good time for that? A million questions circled around in my head but none could be answered.

"Love breathe." Ruby said touching my cheek and I took in a huge breath I wasn't aware I was holding.

"Sorry I wasn't aware I stopped breathing." I say closing my eyes and shaking my head trying to clear it.

"Maybe I shouldn't have brought this up. So let's just forget it okay."

"No that's not the issue. It just took me by surprise but what I mean to say is okay." I hurry to say.

"Okay?" Ruby asked, raising her eyebrow, skeptical.

"Well I think we have to work out a few details but yeah let's do it." I say nodding to confirm my answer.

"Really? You mean it?" I watched as Ruby eyes lit up with excitement.

"Yes I mean it. I would love to have a baby with you." I say smiling. Ruby smiled a wide happy smile and leaned over to give me a deep kiss before pulling away and hugging me tightly.

I could tell I made her happy, which made my happy in return; but there was also apart of me that was terrified.
