Chapter 13: RUBY POV

Today was Wednesday, the day of my sort of date with Seiya. I was taking her to do something I had not done in a long time and I confirmed with Yaten and Taiki that Seiya never did it before either. I had told her what to wear last night in a text and I was on my way to pick her up now.

I pulled up to her house and sent a message to her saying I was here. Five minutes later she came out in a casual relaxed outfit like I told her to wear. She got in the car and buckled her seatbelt, before looking at me.

"So where are we going?" She asked curiously. I winked at her with a smile.

"You'll see soon enough." I told her and started the car.

On the way we talked and joked a little but I could feel something different. Not so much on my side but on hers, like she was being a little distant. That was not what was needed right now. Hopefully she loosens up soon. I pulled in the parking lot and we both got out.

The place was out in the open with old tires, and metal fixtures placed in different areas around the opening. I looked over at Seiya to see a look of confusion on her pretty face. I smiled to myself in anticipation. I couldn't wait to see what her reaction would be.

I stepped up to the reception desk where a guy was sitting to pay and he told us where to get our gear at and I thanked him and headed that way. When we left the reception desk and was out of ear shot, Seiya spoke.

"Ok where are we seriously? What is this place?"

I looked over at her as she looked around at everything with a critical eye, but also with curiosity. I laughed at her reaction and smiled, raising an eyebrow at her teasingly.

"Is this place not up to your standards Ms. Elite royal Gaurdian?"

Seiya looked at me with squinted eyes, and pursed lips. "If you know me at all, you would know I don't care about such things and I never did nor will." She said in an almost offended tone, looking at me challengingly. I smiled as we stepped into a small building that had spray painted art on it. Most likely done by some local graffiti artist.

"I know. I was teasing you." I told her laughing and watched as she rolled her eyes and shook her head.

"That still didn't answer my question." She said to me.

I stopped when we got inside the building and looked at her smiling.
"How about this? You get dressed first then I'll tell you where we are." I say pointing at the racks of painted stuff around us. Seiya looked at the stuff for a minute, before meeting my eyes again. She nodded with a raised eyebrow.

"Alright I'll play along....for now." She said then grinned at me , making me laugh.

"Ok good,now pick anything you want ." I say waving my hand around gesturing. She nodded and walked to one of the racks looking at it curiously. I went to a separate rack and grabbed the stuff I needed and went into one of the changing to put it on. I heard someone in the changing room next to me and I knew it was Seiya since we were the only ones here at moment. I made sure to pick a time and day where it would be the least crowded. A few minutes later,when I just finished put on my own gear.

"Um Ruby I think I need your help." I heard Seiya say meekly and then I chuckled.

"Ok I'm coming in." I say smiling to myself as I walked into her dressing room. Seiya was looking at me embarrassed with a Pleading look.

"Um this doesn't feel right." She said quietly.

I looked her up and down and chuckled. She had her vest on backwards and it was to loose. Also some of the straps weren't connected in all the right places. Well at least she has on the knee and elbow pads right. I thought to myself , laughing again.
