I sat the steaming hot dish on the table and looked over the table setting and nodded to myself satisfied.

Ruby was out doing a few interviews and didn't know I was home yet. I got home around 10 am and took a nice, relaxing shower and relaxed some before I started cooking dinner.

A few minutes later I heard the door open and shut. I may have asked her manager to tell me when all her interviews were over. I imagined her following her nose to the smell of food in the kitchen and was rewarded by seeing her beautiful face looking at me in surprise as I stand by the table.

"Babe! You're back!" She said with a wide smile as she came and hugged me tightly.

"Surprise." I said smiling in the hug.

"Why didn't you tell me you was coming back today?" She asked pulling away from me but kept her arms around me.

"I wanted to surprise you." I say looking into her blue-green eyes as she smiled at me.

"Well I love it ,and you cooked." She replied looking down at the food on the table.

"New recipe and it was requested by Makoto that you try it." I reply, smiling as she sat down.

"Well it looks delicious." She said looking down at her plate.

"I just hope it turned out right. I followed the instructions." I say frowning, worriedly as I sat down.

Ruby took a bite. "Well it's...." She paused and made a face.

"It's that bad?" I asked, feeling sad all of a sudden. How was I going to tell her now?

Ruby smiled and laughed. "It's good love. I'm just kidding." She confessed, laughing and I sighed.

"That's not funny Ruby." I shook my head and took a bite of my own food.

"I'm sorry babe I couldn't help it." She said chuckling and continued to eat her food.

We continued to eat and talk about what we missed. I only took a few bites of my food as I was too nervous to eat. Or it was the baby making me nauseous. I had already threw up three times on the plane ride back and once when I got back in the house. Either way I wasn't going to risk puking at the dinner table.

"Are you okay?" I looked up from my plate and at Ruby to see her looking at me with a concerned look. I must have been making a face and I quickly changed it to neutral one.

"Yeah just a little tired from my trip." I say smiling at her and she only frowned more.

"I do have a gift for you though. Wait right here." I say getting up and going to the bedroom to get the wrapped box off the bed and came back to her. She looked at me and slid her empty plate over, and I sat the gift box in front of her and went to sit back down.

She stared at me silently with a raised eyebrow. "So I ask you what's wrong and hand me a gift?" She says skeptically.

"Like I said I'm tired, and I'll be fine but can you just open the gift please." I say kindly.

Ruby sighed and looked at the gift. "Ok but we're not done with this conversation."

"Fair enough." I say smiling and shrugging.

She lifted the box and pulled back the wrapping paper. She pulled out a white T-shirt with a abstract design with Japanese on it.

"Yaten saw it and it reminded her of you." I said and folded my hands together, watching her. Despite the fact that she was upset at me, she smiled while looking at the shirt.

"Well I do like it so I'll have to thank her for that." She said and took out the second shirt which was in red this time.

"So what else is in here? A whole outfit?" Ruby joked, laughing.
