Chapter 26: Ruby pov

I was getting ready for my birthday party. My friends all insisted on giving me one even when I protested so I gave in, but told them that it had to be at my house and would only be a small get together. They all agreed and told me not to worry about anything , they would bring the food, drinks and presents. Though I told them not to worry about that. I had heard a knock at my door as I finished putting on my makeup. I got up and went downstairs and opened the door to see Nina and Vin and I saw Riwa and Morgan pull-up into the drive way. I gave them all hugs and opened the door wider for them to come in. They their food in the kitchen and then we started talking like always. As I chatted with my friends I texted Yaten to see if they was still coming.

I had finished wrapping up Meg, and only got back home a few weeks ago. After the incident at the beach, I was so worried about Seiya. I had no idea she couldn't swim. I mean I saw her at her house ,in her pool but now that I think about it she was never in the deep end. I had to make sure that never happened again. Like maybe I could teach her how to swim. Though that situation shouldn't have happened at all. I frowned, remember it. Why did Jessica do that? She could have killed her. If I hadn't jumped in and pulled her out on time she wouldn't have.... I stopped my thoughts right there. I didn't want to think about how close I had been to loosing her forever.

Me: hey are you guys still coming over?

Yaten: yeah we still getting ready.

Me: ok see you soon

I sighed and put my phone up and looked back at my friends. I missed Seiya. I haven't talked to her in a while and we only texted a few times.

Seiya pov

I finished writing on the birthday card and put it in the envelope along with a cd. I then grabbed my black leather crop jacket and put it on before walking out the bedroom. I knocked on Yaten door and waited for her to open the door. She pulled the door open and stood there.

She was wearing a green sundress with flowers on it and her hair was loose and curled on the end. "What Seiya?" She asked and folded her arms.

"Can you give this to Ruby please." I said and held out the envelope to take .

"Seiya please tell me you're not trying for bail out on Ruby's party?" She said with gritted teeth.

"No I'm just coming a little later that's all." I say flipping my hair over my shoulder.

"You better seiya. I'm not joking. If you make her sad on her birthday you're gonna get it."Yaten said squinting her eyes at me.

I smirked and crossed my arms. "Get what?" I asked calling her challenge.

She held up her middle finger before turning it into a fist. "It." She stated emphasizing the word and I laughed before walking away and waving my hand at her. "Noted."

I got into my car and peeled out the drive way heading towards Terra house. If I was being honest I was kinda avoiding going to Ruby's party. I was still embarrassed about what happened at the beach. I know she saved me but I should have been able to save myself. I mean it's literally what I do and I get beaten by some salt water. Not only that but it was her ex who pushed me in!  To think I almost bought that crap about us being friends. And I didn't even get a chance to let them have it before Taiki and Yaten pulled me away to the car. And to make matters worse Ruby had to hold my hand like I was a  five year old as I got stitches because they decided to tell her another weakness of mine. I shook my head just thinking about it.

I swear my sisters were more loyal to her these days than to me and I'm the one leading them. Oh well. I'll just play it off like I always do I guess. I sigh as I park my car in front of Terra house and got out. I walked up to her front to door just as she opened it and smiled at me. "Hey sexy. I was wondering when you would get here ." She said hugging me which I returned.
